Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

143 I Am Not Alone

After uploading the video on the forums as well as sending it to the news channels, Zack laid down on his bed and stared at the ceiling.

Hayden had returned back to the underworld and was going to try the oath structure. Due to him being so high on the list, he would easily be able to intimidate most people.

If the contract feature worked in real life too, that was going to be a piece of big news for almost everyone around the world. Written contracts were going to vanish and all that will remain would be the oaths.

“I can’t sleep anyways…” Zack opened his inventory and took out the VR glasses. Since he wasn’t going to sleep, he decided that it was time for him to go and visit Hikari’s world.

As soon as he entered the game, Zack remembered that he would have to teach Marcus and Jack now. He hadn’t planned on teaching them until skill creation was a thing but that happened too soon.

Now he would have to focus on developing their alchemy talents and teaching them things that could help them break through to the next level.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ ‘I never asked them what they do in real life,’ Zack thought curiously as he stepped out of the guild. ‘They are offline half the time and when they do play, they stay in that room together.’

While thinking about the two of them, Zack reached the entrance of the city. From there, he sat outside without any visible means of protection.

He was trying to see what would be happening inside Hikari now that the news had exploded. Just like he had expected, he couldn’t see any player wandering around.

However, he was met with a few frozen bodies near the forest. With a smile, he killed all of the bodies and took their stuff.

‘In this way, they might try to ruin my name which might lead to an entire drama. While most are busy with the drama, I would easily be able to weed out my haters and might be able to remove potential future enemies.’

Though Zack’s entire theory was based on a whole lot of ‘ifs’ and ‘maybes’, it was still worth a shot. After killing a few dozen players who had left the game in a hurry, Zack’s returned to the capital.

There, he went up to the roof and sat down while scrolling through the forums and news. Just like he had planned, the news about Hayden being the new ruler of the Solanski empire spread like wildfire.

Hayden was instantly the second most trending topic while the third one was Zack. After all, he had posted the video under his name making it clear that he and Hayden knew each other.

He also knew that once video experts dissected the video to see that it was not fake, many questions would arise and he and Eva would get some relief from the threat of being attacked.

‘Looks like all that I planned is finally paying off.’ Zack thought with a sigh as he remembered how he had initially wanted to use all of the players for himself.

Somehow, he and Emma had ended up becoming best friends while Eva became his…

‘I don’t think I can call her just a friend or subordinate or my boss for that matter.’

He also somehow ended up in an odd relationship with Lisa though that was most likely going to change now that she was in the mansion too.

‘The biggest shock, however, was of Hayden’s real personality.’ Despite knowing that Hayden was a kind-hearted person, Zack was surprised to see his true personality. ‘He doesn’t have the Judgment skill either.’

(AN: In case you forgot, Judgment is a skill that allows one person to see the good and evil in another person’s soul. It was also one of the initial reasons Zack wanted Hayden on his team.)

‘Other than that, he is not a talk nor does he belong to the dark side.’ While thinking of that, Zack took out the Job Class book he had bought in the library a long time ago. (Check Chapter 53)

He couldn’t use the book without losing all of his former skills and entering a state that would make death look like a joke. After staring at the book for some time, Zack put it back in his inventory and sighed.

‘Not only will a war happen inside the game, but it will also happen outside the game.’ His gaze turned to stare at the palace where Jonathan would most likely be sleeping.

Zack could already imagine half of the governments crumbling down while guilds from inside the game started meeting up. He was sure that after a week, 90% of the government would be wiped.

Only those who had the officials playing the game would survive and such countries were very rare.

‘I guess it’s time to start the hero facade.’ A grin appeared on his face as he stood up while staring at the sky.

Zack knew that in this time of chaos, it was the perfect moment for him to leave Doogle mansions and go exploring. Not only would he be able to showcase his strength but also be able to gather more promising players.

‘I wonder if anyone will come up with a term for them in real life.’

Zack suddenly got a video call from Hayden and decided that it was better to attend it in real life. He exited Hikari and accepted the call while being on the bed.

“Sorry if I disturbed your sleep but I think this is a very important deal.” Hayden’s voice sounded grim as he was standing in his father’s study.

“I was playing Hikari so no worries. Tell me what you found out.” Zack replied as Hayden nodded and the camera expanded.

Now, Zack could see the entire place and the ten men in a black suits standing near Hayden. All of them had their shirts unbuttoned and their cheat on wide display which made Zack cough severely.

“Are you sure that I am not interrupting something?” He asked in a joking tone as Hayden rolled his eyes and didn’t say anything in reply.

“Agent 007 if you will.”

One of the men stepped forward.

“I swear my loyalty to Hayden Solanski and may this oath be looked over by the goddess of light.” A crackling sound resounded through the room as a golden circle appeared on the man’s forehead as well as his heart.

The man’s face seemed to twitch a little as he experienced pain spreading through his body. He felt pain creeping up on both the spots where the circles had appeared but it vanished alongside the circles.

All that remained was a golden line right below his right shoulder blade, marking him as someone who had taken an oath.

“I didn’t use oath of existence since I would have to swear in that too so I used this. This confirms that oaths can easily be taken.”

“Thank you for testing that Hayden. I will see you here tomorrow. Eva has something planned for you.” Zack replied before cutting off the call.

He then stared at the ceiling with wide eyes while wondering what he should do next.

Before he could log back into Hikari, he suddenly heard someone knocking at his door.

“Come inside.”
