Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

133 The Power Of An Archmage

As soon as Zack heard the voice, he blindly used his inspection. This time, the information was much more detailed and lengthy.

Yami Nobunga

Dark Archmage

Titles: Warden of the Blackwater prison, The Executioner of Red Dawn, the general of the cult of darkness [A/N: changed from the cult of Darklord]

– Yami was the second Archmage of the Eizenburgh kingdom making it the only kingdom in the southern continent with two Archmages.

– Yami was obsessed with the dark element and it was his lifelong goal to become the first Dark magic-using Archmage in the history of the Eizenburgh kingdom. However, he soon turned his obsession to the mirror side of the kingdom, the underworld.

– Due to his strength, he managed to meet the king of the underworld and from there, he became the warden of the Blackwater prison.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ – Despite that, his obsession never ceased.

Chances of victory: 1%

The moment Zack read Dark Archmage, he knew that the entire fight was over. Despite what players believed, there was an advancement system in Hikari.

It went from Mage to Grand Mage to Archmage. The advancement could only be made by triggering a certain quest that was limited in number.

Even Zack had no idea how these quests could be triggered since no one from his party had ever been able to get one.

[ Blindness: one hour ]

When he saw the new notification, he realized why he couldn’t see anything except the notification.

Currently, Zack was like a bat in pure daylight. He couldn’t see even a single thing except for the game notifications that appeared in front of him in a blue panel.

Also, his chances of getting killed were 99%.

‘I wonder if anyone except me had handed up here, he or she would have instantly died.’ Despite the high chance of death and what was about to happen, Zack remained calm.

He summoned Eirias in his hand and the sword’s glow suddenly seemed to light up his entire surroundings.

Chances of victory: 10%

Zack didn’t see this change as he was busy staring at his opponent. Somehow, Eirias had managed to remove the blindness curse placed on him and thus allowed him to see his opponent.

The warden of the prison was a handsome man who looked as though he was in his late twenties. He had curly black hair that had grown to the back of his neck alongside obsidian black eyes that were staring back at Zack’s face.

Before either of them could do anything, another glow appeared in the place as Emma’s bow, Khryselakatos appeared beside her.

Chances of victory: 20%

The pink-haired girl could also see everything once again as she turned her gaze towards the warden.

After noticing his looks, she noticed that he was wearing a black cloak that had the symbol of the royal family, the Eizenburgh family, etched directly on top of the heart area.

Zack too noticed the symbol and seemed surprised. He had seen the cloaks in his previous life and they had been given to heroes or those at the top of the nobility.

‘He was indeed an archmage of the kingdom.’ Zack thought as his grip on the sword tightened.

He knew that no matter how many buffs he got, his chances of victory were still not high.

‘Unless…’ It had been some time since Zack had called upon the bright orange mythical bird.

The Phoenix was like his Deus Ex Machina which he could use in moments of danger. However, the Phoenix was busy most of the time and hardly appeared.

“Spirit Spear Chastiefol, Seventh Form, Guardian…” Zack muttered under his breath while staring at the warden.

Unless the Phoenix made his appearance, Zack and Emma would be easily killed by the warden who was eyeing the duo without moving.

‘No, he is eyeing our weapons.’ Zack could see the warden’s gaze lingering on the blue flames. The latter had recognized that the sword was no ordinary weapon.

“Show me what you mortals can do.” The warden suddenly spoke as a black metal scepter appeared in his hands. “Undead legion.”

The warden tapped the ground with his scepter and a wave of power was unleashed in the entire area. Black cracks started running across the ground as the land slowly split apart.

A sickly green hand rose from under the ground followed by hundreds of hands rising from the cracks. The owners of the hands started climbing up the edges as they managed to reach the top a minute later.

[ Undead Thief (level 40): A thief who was raised from the dead after his death. ]

[ Undead Archer (level 40) ]

[ Undead… ]

The list continued to go as Zack and Emma saw all the information pop up on top of the newly arrived undead.

Their skin was sickly pale and all of them wore the same black armor over their body. Their faces seemed to change shape which made all of them look the same.

“That so huge…” Emma muttered with a slightly open jaw. Zack had a similar reaction to her as he counted at least five hundred undead warriors in front of him and Emma.

All of them held the weapons of their names and were focusing on the duo. Their eyes didn’t have any light and looked completely controlled. Overall, they looked like healthier zombies.

Chances of victory: .1%

This was the true power of an Archmage. While looking at the army with awe, a voice appeared inside Zack’s mind.

‘Survive for ten minutes.’

He immediately recognized that the voice belonged to the Phoenix. Though what he had said was going to be extremely hard, it wasn’t impossible.

[ Even if there are hundreds of them, we are both at level 60. We just have to survive for ten minutes. ] Zack relayed the message to Emma before he took out Gugnir.

Chastiefol was out of commission since he could only use one form of the spear at a time. Though he wasn’t at peak strength, Zack decided that it was time for him to see what he could do with all of his powers released.

With Gugnir in one hand and Eirias in another, he stared at the closest undead fighter in front of him. They still hadn’t started moving which meant that they were waiting for something.

‘He is waiting for me to make a move.’ Zack thought while looking at the warden who had turned his gaze towards the lance.

He could tell that the warden knew about Gugnir being a mythic weapon which intrigued him. There was no way that someone could have three overpowered weapons.

At least, that’s what Zack thought the warden was thinking. The latter was maintaining a poker face, making it extremely hard for Zack to predict anything.

‘Well, here goes nothing.’ He raised Eirias and jumped forward. The undead were allied with the dark side too which gave Zack all the buffs that he could get.

Ding!

[ Due to the repetitive swinging of the sword, a new skill has been created. ]

A grin appeared on Zack’s face as he cut the heads of three undead. Their bodies caught the blue flames and burned down to ashes.

[ Skill: Blue Flames Slash has been created. ]

[ Blue Flames Slash (passive): Every slash deals an extra 100% damage when the blue flames are active.

Cooldown: None. ]

Currently, Zack had a 100% attack and damage boost, a 50% boost to all of his stats, another 25% boost to all of his stats, and another 20% attack boost. If he added the skill on top of that, he had a 220% attack boost.

‘Time to hunt some undead and gain more exp.’
