Hikari: Rise Of The Weapons Master

115 Alone In The Building [Part 2]

(A/N: No dirty thing here kekeke)

“Anything you want to talk about?” Zack asked as he and Emma sat on their respective beds.

“We’ll talk after experiencing these beds. Set up an alarm to wake up at 7 am in case we fall asleep.” Emma replied as she and Zack then set the alarm.

After all, Eva wasn’t likely going to be happy to see the two of them sleeping in her secret room.

Zack and Emma then laid down on the beds and closed their eyes. The lights in the room automatically dimmed down as a soothing fragrance was released in the room.

Eva had designed the room in such a way that she could relax after being tired from work. Not only that but the room was also customized so that if she ever brought anyone inside it, he or she could relax too.

Emma suddenly felt the mattress below her pressing on her muscles. Even though the beds in the room had been top quality, Emma’s shoulders still felt a bit cramped.

The mattress not only relaxed her muscles but also started making her feel relaxed. In less than five minutes, she was soundly asleep.

Zack on the other hand was experiencing something completely different. He felt as though he was surrounded by a bubble while calming music was playing inside the bubble.

A wave of pleasure went through his entire body as Zack too fell asleep.

“Hello, Zack.” Suddenly, Zack heard a voice calling his name. His eyes flew open the next second as he saw a familiar being standing in front of him.

“Kai…” He muttered as the god of timelines smiled.

Both of them were currently floating in the sky, the literal sky. Zack’s stomach started to bounce when he saw that he was surrounded by clouds while there was nothing below him.

“Don’t worry, you are sleeping and I just infiltrated your dreams.” Seeing Zack’s expression, Kai couldn’t help but chuckle. “Many things have changed since our last meeting.”

“And what were you doing since then?”

“I am still a god you know. I got responsibilities and stuff to take care of. Speaking of that, you should try to use Gugnir as little as possible,” Kai’s expression turned serious. “I have been shielding you whenever you are using that lance but you still have to be careful.”

“Kai, tell me whether the people and the world of Hikari are real or not.”

The god of timelines released a sigh as he had been expecting Zack to ask that question.

“It is real and not real at the same time Zack. Just imagine that everything was once real before being changed into semi-puppets. However, that’s not what you should be worried about.

Despite my powers, many gods have noticed some changes. The event you just watched is one of them and if my guess is correct, more and more changes are soon going to appear. You should start gathering your team members while training them.”

Suddenly, the land around Zack started to tremble.

“Looks like they are searching for you here.” Kai’s expression turned grim as he stared at Zack. “Whatever you do, stick close to those around you.”

He then waved his hand over the boy’s body and Zack vanished from the place.

Kai then looked above one last time before he too vanished from the place.

“Ugh…” Zack and Emma were both woken up at the same time by their alarm

The time was exactly 7 in the morning as the two of them stood up from their beds feeling as though they had just been reborn.

“Original version.” Zack suddenly spoke as the wall opened up again and the room started reverting back to its original shape.

Zack and Emma then made their way back to the employees’ sleeping area before opening and forums to pass some time until Evangeline arrived.

Those taking part in the guild mode must have not taken part in the solo mode. If you fought in the solo mode, you can’t take part in the guild mode.

After reading the latest post made by the Hikari account, Zack and Emma exchanged a look. They had been hoping to win both the items but their plans had just failed because of the new announcement.

The reason Hikari had done such a thing was to make sure that the same players didn’t win both the prices.

[0)ᴠᴇʟ ‘The surprising thing was that very few of the top players participated.’ In the winners, Zack had noticed that only two of them were in the top 100.

Currently, 89 players had managed to cross-level 30 and a new section had appeared on the leaderboard.

The section showed how many players had actually managed to pass the test of ascension and the number currently sat at 51.

Zack had expected the number to be in the last thirties yet he had been surprised.

“Emma, you should take the test of ascension after we talk with Eva and tell her about Lisa and Neji in detail. After all, we haven’t exactly been giving her good reports.”

“Mmmm.” Emma’s just nodded in reply as she was scrolling through her phone watch. “Aha! Found it.”

She suddenly clicked on the article she was reading and the entire block expanded in front of her.

Zack’s eyes went through the article as he realized that Emma had finally found it.

The total number of players that had signed up with Oracroft after the information breaching was approximately ten million and fifty thousand.

“If even half of them belong to the light side, they will be troublesome or worse, if they belong to the dark side and…” Emma’s voice trailed off yet Zack knew what she meant.

If more and more players were going to join Oracroft, the company was soon going to take over a good chunk of Hikari.

“We need to ask Evangeline to provide some kind of clickbait to those that didn’t get the gaming pods from Oracroft.”

After glancing through the article again and looking at videos of cats dancing, Evangeline finally arrived.

It was time for them to have a serious talk.
