Hidden Wife : Best Husband

Chapter 474 - 473 - Bastard!!

The day went by so fast. It seemed like they had only been together a few hours but it was a shame because Dae Hyun had already told her that he'll be coming to pick her up soon.

"Jean, I'm sorry for not being able to accompany you to stay here again. Dae Hyun already said he would pick me up, even though I already said that I would stay here," said Soo Yin while pursing her lips. There was a sense of irritation because Dae Hyun did not allow her at all even though she had been whining.

"I'm fine. Take good care of your husband because his ex-wife is still waiting for him to come home." Jean chuckled as she said that. Soo Yin's presence was enough to make her forget about the pain Park Soo Hyun had inflicted on her chest.

"Wait? How can Chang Yuan take you to the hospital when it was late at night? Were you two together?" Soo Yin said with a look to further investigate what really happened. She had been wanting to ask this for a long time but Soo Yin always forgot about it.

"I also don't know why he came so late at night," said Jean, shrugging her shoulders.

"Looks like he's attracted to you," said Soo Yin with a crisp laugh.

"Ah, that's impossible," said Jean quickly.

'He only feels sorry for me, not attracted,' Jean continued in her heart with pain. After all, for Jean, falling in love was not as easy as turning the palm of the hand.

"You don't believe me?" said Soo Yin with a snort.

 "No," said Jean firmly.

"You can't yet..." Soo Yin stopped her speech and hastily covered her mouth. She wanted to ask if Jean definitely hadn't forgotten about Park Soo Hyun.

"Where's your husband? Why is it taking so long?" Jean pretended to look around, looking for Dae Hyun's whereabouts outside to divert their conversation so it wouldn't be awkward.

"Just say if you're looking for Chang Yuan," Soo Yin teased with a wink. Even though she knew that Jean hadn't been able to forget Park Soo Hyun. But with Chang Yuan's presence, hopefully he can slowly comfort her heart.

Jean just smiled bitterly at that. Where there was a man who wanted to be with her at a time like this. She was not a holy girl anymore.

"Jean." Soo Yin shook Jean's arm because her gaze was blank towards the window.

"What is it?" Jean was taken aback.

"Chang Yuan said you were too stressed. What are you really thinking?" Soo Yin became increasingly suspicious of Jean because she had been watching her looking pensive for a few times.

"Not really, I just didn't get enough sleep while working at the bar. I wasn't stressed at all," Jean said quickly. Jean didn't want to tell her yet because it was for their good for a while.

"Is that true?" Soo Yin was not satisfied with the answer given by Jean. She had known Jean for a long time so she knew that her best friend was not that easy to think about something if it wasn't a serious matter.

There was a knock on the door from outside so Jean could breathe a sigh of relief. There was no need to get caught up in Soo Yin's talk.

'Sorry, I can't say it right now. I don't want you to feel sad,' Jean thought in her heart.

Soo Yin had gone through too much trouble so she didn't want to make the burden of her troubles even bigger.

Soo Yin immediately lit up when she saw the man she had been waiting for finally arrived.

"Good night, Jean," said Dae Hyun with a friendly smile. There was also Chang Yuan walking behind him.

Soo Yin then walked over to Dae Hyun and clung to his arm. Like they hadn't seen each other for quite a long time.

 "Good evening, sir," replied Jean.

One more thing that made Jaen afraid that if Dae Hyun found out, it was certain that the man will be very angry at Park Soo Hyun.

Jean was too stupid to have been blinded by love. But her deepest heart didn't want Park Soo Hyun to be blamed. He would hate her even more. Thought she had complained to someone else.

"How are you? Are you all right?" Dae Hyun asked.

 "Yes, I'm alright," said Jean.

They then chatted for a while before Dae Hyun finally saw Soo Yin who had yawned.

"Are you sleepy?" Dae Hyun grabbed Soo Yin's waist from the side.

"A little," said Soo Yin briefly with eyelids that felt a little heavy.

"Jean, we should go home. If you can't go home tomorrow, Soo Yin will accompany you here again," said Dae Hyun. Felt sorry because his wife was sleepy.

"Thanks for bothering to see me," said Jean.

"Don't be hesitant. Just think of us as your family," said Dae Hyun.

"Jean, you need to get better soon. We're going home first." Soo Yin hugged Jean's body for a while.

 "Take care," said Jean.

Soo Yin and Dae Hyun rushed out of the hospital.

Jean looked at the door after Soo Yin left the room with Dae Hyun. There was jealousy to see how Dae Hyun loved Soo Yin so much. Especially when seeing them looking at each other with love and affection, it really made Jean want to feel the same way.

If only Park Soo Hyun behaved like that to her. Maybe Jean would be the happiest person.

"Jean, why don't you tell Mr. Dae Hyun? He can definitely help you," said Chang Yuan who threw his body on the chair beside the bed.

"They also just went through the most difficult time. I don't want to add my problems that will be a burden for them," said Jean sadly. A crystal escaped from her eyelids.

"Tell me Jean, did he come here earlier?" Chang Yuan could guess if Park Soo Hyun had come there, because before leaving the hospital, he accidentally saw Park Soo Hyun's car parked in front of the hospital.

Chang Yuan let him go, hoping that Park Soo Hyun's arrival would bring good news to Jean.

"Hmm," said Jean then looked down. Felt hurt again because Park Soo Hyun's words echoed in her mind again.

"What did he say? Did he want to take responsibility?" demanded Chang Yuan who wanted to know right away.

Jean didn't answer, only the clear tears that slowly filled the corners of her eyes again. Even though she tried to hold it back, the tears just escaped, running down her thin cheeks.

"Bastard!" Chang Yuan cursed while gritting his teeth hard in anger. The man was very angry to know that Park Soo Hyun did not want to be responsible for what happened to Jean.

Jean sobbed as she felt her chest cavity hurt again. Even though she tried to comfort her heart, she still felt a tightness in her chest so she felt like she didn't want to breathe anymore.

Chang Yuan finally got up the courage to embrace Jean's body in his arms. He rubbed her back gently to soothe the slight pain she might be feeling right now.

Chang Yuan intended to meet Park Soo Hyun tomorrow. Wanted to teach a lesson to people who have the heart to hurt a girl like Jean.

Jean continued to cry in Chang Yuan's arms with tears running down her cheeks. Her chest heaved up and down, holding back the sobs that felt like they wanted to be released. She was cursing the path of her life that was too bitter to live.

Jean felt so stupid, how she could love a man who was completely irresponsible. She should have closed the door to her heart tightly.

Chang Yuan could feel Jean's deep sorrow. He didn't dare to say any more words for fear that Jean would get sadder.

Slowly Jean's sobs weakened in Chang Yuan's chest. She seemed exhausted from crying for a long time. Chang Yuan lowered his gaze to confirm. It turned out that Jean's eyes were already closed there.

Chang Yuan laid Jean's body slowly on the pillow so that Jean wouldn't wake up. The man felt sad when he looked closely at Jean's tired face. Her eyelids were red and puffy and her cheeks were still wet.

Chang Yuan grabbed the tissue that was on the nightstand. Then wiped the remaining water gently so as not to disturb her sleep.. Then gently brushed away the messy, sticky hair which was on her skin.
