Hidden Wife : Best Husband

Chapter 241 - 241 - Don't Run

Jean looked up at the two men in front of her. The look in their eyes looked very scary, making Jean's body tremble. She had a bad feeling about this.

The two big, sturdy men narrowed their eyes when they looked at Jean. Like two hungry wolves.

Jean reflexively shifted backward, her body was now completely trembling until cold sweat poured out of her body.

"Who ... who are you?" Jean asked, slightly stammered. Tried to be brave and hoped that they were good men who were just making fun of her.

The two men looked at each other.

"You don't need to know who we are," said one of them with a sly grin.

Seeing his terrifying expression made Jean even more terrified. Jean tried to be calm and not nervous so she could run away now.

"Is she really the girl?" asked the one with long hair..

The short-haired man checked his cellphone then looked at Jean and his cellphone in turn. As if he was observing something.

Jean took the opportunity to stand up and then immediately ran with the strength of a thousand steps.

 "Hey, don't run away!"

 "God damn it!"

Jean continued to run with all her might. As much as possible to stay away from the pursuit of the two men who were chasing her. Her breath now felt heavy and gasping. Her stomach that had not been filled made her felt weak faster. Jean patted her forehead for forgetting to eat dinner. Although after working hours, she intended to have dinner first.

Unfortunately, her fate was bad. With a rush of breath, Jean kept trying to run with the remaining strength.

 "Do not run!"

Apparently the two men didn't give up at all, so they continued to chase after Jean. They exchanged glances for a while before finally breaking up to pursue Jean.

Jean ran while looking back occasionally. Made sure the two men were out of reach.

Immediately, Jean stopped running when in front of her there was a man who had been on his hips. Jean immediately turned back hoping to run again but unfortunately there was a man there too. Now Jean felt surrounded and had nowhere else to go.

"Help! help!" Jean shouted with all her might so that her voice sounded loud enough.

"It's lonely in here, no one will help you," the man said, whilst raising one lip upward.

"What do you really want?" Jean took out a small penknife from her pocket. This was the weapon she accidentally found on the table. It looked like it belonged to one of the visitors who was accidentally left it behind.

"We want you to come with us," said the short-haired man while narrowing his eyes.

"Hurry up and you go right now!" Jean shouted, while pointing the knife at them.

"Or I'll kill you one by one," Jean threatened with a trembling body.

"Ha ha ha." The laughter of one of them echoed out in a very quiet street. Jean even shivered with fear at the sound of it.

"You think that knife can kill us," the long-haired man said, while pulling one lip up.

"We don't have time to play with a little rabbit like her. Let's catch her now," said the short-haired man. With quick strides, he was right in front of Jean.

Jean's hand was immediately held back by the long-haired man who was right behind her.

"Poor little rabbit," sneered the man, while pushing Jean forward.

"Let me go!" Jean shouted, trying to get her wrists off.

"Hurry up and walk before we hurt you!" the man said in a cold tone that was enough to make the hair on Jean's neck stood up.

'Jean, you can't be afraid. Be a strong woman,' Jean said while catching her breath and continuing to stepped her feet. Convinced herself so she could fight the two bad men. At this time she only thought of her mother who was still in the hospital. Surely right now she was waiting for her to come.

Remembering her mother who was worried about her, with all her might Jean tried to step on the feet of the man who was gripping her hands and finally succeeded.

"Damn girl, catch her and teach her a lesson to give up!" the long-haired man said angrily.

Jean immediately ran even faster in any direction, what was the most important was to get away from the two men. But it turned out that Jean was running in the wrong direction because she was actually running towards the old factory that she had been passing by earlier. Jean didn't understand why did she running into such a scary place.

The eerie air immediately hit the hair on her neck. Jean continued to take her steps by trying hard to get rid of her fear. The situation was getting tense because only a faint light that shone on the old factory.

Jean wanted to turn around, but the sound of footsteps running towards her made Jean run even faster with the sweat ran down her forehead.

She must be able to hide if she wanted to meet her mother.

 Brakk….

The situation was only dimly visible, making Jean not see clearly if there was a large wooden block in front of her that was blocking her steps. Instantly Jean's body collapsed to the ground quite hard. Made pain in the abdominal area as she fell on her stomach.

Jean immediately rounded her eyes when she saw a light shone on her. She immediately turned and covered her eyes because of the glare. Realizing that it was a danger, Jean tried to get up, but when she took a step, her feet could not support her weight. Looked like her right leg was sprained.

Jean tried hard to convince herself to try to escape. With tears slowly flowing from the corners of her eyes, Jean dragged her feet while enduring the excruciating pain in her ankles. She felt like she couldn't stand it until Jean's body fell to the ground again.

This made it easier for the two men to find Jean.
