Her Husband is My Lover

"Good morning, Ms. Jackson." Tania said as Valentina got out of the car.

"Good morning." Valentina replied as they both walked inside. 

"How are things going on?" Valentina asked.

"Good, Ms. Jackson." Tania answered as she handed Valentina a file.

Valentina took it from her and read the brief report of what happened in the company the past week.

"Good. Any deals?" Valentina asked they both walked inside the private Elevator and Valentina handed the file back to Tania.

"Yes, Ms. Valentina. There are around 6 new deals... All the files are on your table." Tania answered and Valentina nodded her head.

"When is Edward's appointment?" Valentina asked.

"Tomorrow, Ms. Jackson." Tania answered and she nodded her head.

"Mrs. Jackson was here... A few days back... Around 4 days back." Tania said and Valentina looked at her with her eyebrow raised.

"She just asked how everything is going in the company as you were on a vacation." Tania replied and Valentina nodded her head.

"Did she talk anything more with you?" Valentina asked.

"No, Ms. Jackson." Tania answered and Valentina nodded her head.

"Did George again contact you?" Valentina asked.

"Yes, Ms. Jackson." Tania answered.

"Why?" Valentina asked.

"He asked about you... He didn't tell me anything about why? But just asked when will you be back? I told him, you will back in a few days and he told me to inform him as soon as you come back." Tania answered making Valentina roll her eyes.

"Is Xavier back from his honeymoon?" Valentina asked and Tania looked at her.

"No, Ms. Jackson. Not yet!" Tania answered.

"When he is going to be back?" Valentina asked.

"Not sure but I guess, Tomorrow..." Tania answered and Valentina nodded her head. 

The Elevator pinged making them know that they both reached the floor. The door got opened and they both walked out of the Elevator. They both walked towards Valentina's office and Tania opened it. Valentina looked around and turned towards Tania.

"A coffee." Valentina said.

"Yes, Ms. Jackson." Tania replied and walked out of the office. Valentina slowly took a step inside her office and looked around every little bit of the corner and check the files if any file is missing from her shelf.

"No... Everything is good." Valentina said and sat on the chair and turned on her laptop.

She grabbed the files from her desk and started checking the files. 

Soon, Tania walked inside with her coffee and stood in front of her.

"I am done checking about Edward's deals... But... I couldn't find any such thing which might be useful for him than for me... And all are normal deals... I think, he doesn't need my help in any way... Then, why does he want my appointment for?" Valentina asked as she sipped on her coffee. 

"Ms. Jackson, I don't know too... Because I went through its information too... But I couldn't find any suspicious thing about it nd about the investigator. He didn't find any such suspicious thing too... Edward goes to his company in the morning and stays there all day. And again sometimes goes back to his home or to his PA's. This is his routine." Tania answered.

"P.A's house?" Valentina asked and Tania nodded her head.

"Yes, Ms. Jackson. He and His P.A are used to leave the company together almost daily... Not sure about what their relationship is... But he stays over at his P.A house sometimes. Maybe... They have an affair... Well, who doesn't know about Edward Morgon? Everyone knows that he is a skirt chaser." Tania answered making Valentina chuckle.

"A skirt chaser." Valentina said as she smiled. 

"I really don't understand why he wants to meet me..." Valentina said as she closed her eyes. 

"Ms. Jackson, he knows that you and Mr. Avalanzo are best friends... Maybe... He is coming to talk to you about him?" Tania asked and Valentina looked at her with her eyebrows raise.

"Almost everyone in th world knows that I and Xavier are best friends. It's not a new thing... He should come to me a few days itself if he wants to talk to me about Xavier... But... Still, we can think like this... He might can come to me to talk about their relationship..." Valentina said and Tania nodded her head.

"I only want him to enter in my office and no one else... Did you get it?" Valentina asked.

"Yes, Ms. Jackson." Tania answered.

"And... About the deals..." Valentina said and Tania started writing it down on her notepad. 

"They are good... But still, let me take my time in thinking about them. About this new collection of ours... I have an idea about it... Arrange a meeting with our designers tomorrow. And a arrange a meeting with the financial department tomorrow too. And tell all these deals owners to meet me with their presentations." Valentina said and Tania nodded her head.

"Anything more, Ms. Jackson." Tania asked and Valentina shook her head in no. 

"Nothing else... You can leave." Valentina said.

"Alright." Tania replied as she turned around and was about to walk out of the office when Valentina again called her making her turn around towards Valentina.

"Tania..." Valentina called.

"Yes, Ms. Jackson?" Tania asked.

"Did Mo... I mean, Mrs. Jackson asked anything about me?" Valentina asked and a smile started spreading on Tania's face. 

"Yes, Ms. Jackson." Tania answered and Valentina nodded her head and looked away. Tania saw that Valentina trying to stop herself from her anything further. But seeing Valentina asking about Amelia making her happy. For the first time, from the day, she started working here, she never saw Valentina asking about Amelia like this but today, Valentina did... She knows there is something changed in her... And she is not like a woman who was rude for every little thing but today, Tania saw Valentina calm and quiet... She is talking as a normal businesswoman but not a cruel businesswoman who was a week back in Valentina. 

"Ms. Jackson..." Tania called her making her look up at her. 

"Mrs. Jackson was so worried about you." Tania said making Valentina take a deep breath. 

"She wants to know if you are doing good or not because you were sick when you left New York... And she is just so worried if you are doing good there or not." Tania said and Valentina closed her eyes.

"She was behind me to give you a call... So, that she can hear your voice... She can make her live peacefully..." Tania said and Valentina opened her eyes and looked at her.

Tania gulped down as she saw Valentina looking at her.

"I... I am sorry." Tania said as she lowered her head making Valentina sigh.

"Is she really worried about me?" Valentina asked making Tania look up at her.

"Yes, Ms. Jackson... We can clearly can see that on her face. She is so worried and scared..." Tania answered

"Sacred?" Valentina asked and Tanks shrugged.

"I felt that she is scared... Of losing you..." Tania answered making Valentina sigh.

"Tania... I don't know... Is She really be worried about me?" Valentina asked.

"Ms. Jackson, she is really worried about you... I am 100℅ sure about it... Try to understand me... I know how it feels to not having parents... Who can support you and show their affection for their children..." Tania answered making Valentina look up at her.

"I don't know the reason behind why you hate your mom... But whatever it is, can't you give her a chance to make you explain about things? She is getting old... She wants to be happy in her old day... Just getting down a step doesn't mean that you are losing the battle... Heck, there is no battle between a mother and a daughter... It's about love." Tania said making Valentina take a deep breath.

"I just don't want you to lose what I Lost... You have a mom... And she loves you a lot. Please try to give her a chance." Tania said making Valentina sigh. 

Tania saw Valentina thinking to herself as she closed her eyes and so, she didn't talk anything and just kept staring at her and when it felt like an hour. Valentina opened her eyes and looked at Tania. 

"Know about My mom's Schedule today and let me know when she is free..." Valentina said making Tania smile brightly as She heard Valentina called Her mom.

"Yes, Ms. Jackson." Tania replied with a bright smile and walked out of the office with a smile and closed the door behind her.

Valentina got up from the chair and walked towards the big glass window and looked out at the busy city... She took a deep breath and true to calm herself down.

"This is it... I need to try this out... I should know answers from her..." Valentina said and she tucked her hair behind her ear.

"I need to apologize to her." Valentina said as a tear falls down from her eyes.
