Chapter 979 - Solaris’ Evolution

Chapter 979 – Solaris’ Evolution

Jason quickly noticed that Solaris was not able to return to the Soul world.

It seemed to be forced to stay out of it in order to undergo the evolution to a Tier-2 origin flame.

This was not necessarily bad, but Jason also realized that Solaris was being pulled toward him.

While tightly enveloping his body, Solaris’ flames even entered it through the pores that had opened up willingly.

Turning in a blazing black flame, Jason’s entire existence looked eerie, even more so as his God’s Halo, the Stigma and his Celestia aura began to gleam brightly.

Sweeping through Jason, Solaris seemed to be everywhere, enveloping as well as burning through his mana veins.

It was a weird sensation, but also something he could cope with. The speed was too fast, and with a swoosh, Wang Xuan was pulled into the whirlpool, like a little crucian carp that had been hooked and was violedntly pulled out of the water.

But that was only under the condition that he wouldn’t feel the searing pain of the baptism that overlapped with the pain of Solaris’ evolution, making him groan.

Both were extremely painful, and Jason had decided to share the load of Solaris’ painful evolution and to endure it all on his own.

He knew that the Origin flame wouldn’t feel pain as it was the case for him, but that was not something Jason had ever bothered about.

As long as it was possible for him to help his soulbond, he would do so.

With that in mind, Jason didn’t even realize how much time had passed as Solaris’ was starting to transform while undergoing its evolution, while the slightest impurities were cleansed from his body.

Simultaneously, the baptism enhanced his mana veins, his mana core, cleansed the soul world core and reinforced every single cell in his body.If your dare to fish against him like this, no matter if it’s a strange thing on a mobile phone or that ferocious giant fish, you’ll have to pay the price.

Yet, the biggest change was occurring to his eyes. Once again they received all the focus during the strengthening by the baptism.

Jason had his eyes closed, while the searing hot flames of Solaris reached every nook and cranny of his body, cleansing and enhancing it to an overly high degree.

Solaris’ flames even reached for his Stigma, the Celestia aura, and the God’s Halo.

Days passed without him realizing, in which the remnants of the reeking impurities he had secreted had been burned.

He didn’t even notice that he was still breathing as the blazing flames seemed to burn his throat.

However, this was but a trick of his mind that was fooling him as Solaris’ flame was not actively hurting him.A fisih is mocking him!

It was just strengthening him to the limit his body could endure.

This caused unbearable pain that had yet to subside.

In fact, Jason knew that he had just overcome the start of the baptism which made him feel as if he had entered hell.

But what he had figured was that Solaris’ evolution had been concluded.

The Black origin flame was burning brightly, destroying his cells and rejuvenating them over and over.

Jason had lost count on how many times his body had felt like burning to ash, break apart, and be fully destroyed. Then, it was noisys and motionless, instead of reviving here, it chose to disguise it.

It was just too often to think of a number.

In the end, he had recuperated from being destroyed and harmed to the extent that nobody would be able to recognize him.

However, according to the intel Solaris had provided him, all of this was necessary.

Since Solaris had finished his evolution, the black origin flame had been overflowing with things it wanted to test out.

And this included using all the potent energy it was being flooded with to refine his constitution!

Jason was not sure what was wrong with his constitution, but given the fact that it was only Solaris that could give him a baptism, and nobody else, he simply accepted it.If ones piece of sword energy can’t solve the problem, then take a few more pieces. Wang Xuan is going to kill it.

Minutes turned into hours, and hours turned into weeks.

At the very end of the baptism that caused unbearable pain to Jason, an entire month had passed before the enshrouding of Solaris’ black flames was discarded to reveal his appearance to Jennifer once again.

She hadn’t heard anything from him, neither a scream nor a single sign that he was still alive.

His mana fluctuations had vanished the moment Solaris’ flames had enshrouded him, and Jennifer had been unable to communicate with him, at all.

Not even voice transmission worked out and she had grown nervous with each passing day.

Uncertain when he would be done, Jennifer had waited for him for a few days.

However, when a large batch of the ingredients that Jason had ordered arrived, she averted her focus, understanding that he would take a little bit longer.

Sorting the ingredients according to whether she required it for her True Soul awakening,Jason’s, or for Artemis, and the other soulbonds, she spent a few hours while waiting.

Afterward, she quickly realized that all the ingredients she required were already present and that she could undergo her True Soul awakening at any time.

‘Should I just go for it?’ It was a doubt she had no certain answer to.

In the end, Jennifer disregarded this idea as she felt that it would be best to wait until Jason were to be done with his baptism.

She had the feeling that waiting would help her to improve the potency of her True Soul awakening, even if she was not sure how that was possible.

Thus, instead of rushing things, Jennifer decided to practice the Kanadi of a Primordial technique thrice a day, until Jason would wake up.

They had more than enough cultivation resources and nutrition solutions present, so she could even use them with free hands if she wanted to.

However, even after starting to practice the Kanadi of a Primordial technique, Jennifer didn’t expect that Jason would take a few more weeks to complete the baptism.

Jennifer had just finished another session of the Kanadi of a Primordial technique, left the bathtub, and put on some comfortable clothes when she perceived that the searing heat of the surrounding area had cooled down.

This caused a bright smile to emerge on her face as she rushed out of the small mansion, where she found a large area of burned grass, soil, and even molten stones with ashes flying in the air.

Inside a small crater that had formed over the last four weeks, Jason’s flawless body was exposed to the warm air.

He was looking at the flame that was hovering right in front of him.

It was black in color, and had golden strands intertwined with its main body.

From this point, nothing had changed about Solaris.

Yet, it was the core area of the black origin flame that had transmuted.

Its mana core was now glowing in a faint white light that merged with the black flames of the surroundings.

After taking a detailed look at Solaris, it felt somewhat destructive yet also invigorating, and oddly pure.

This was truly weird, but Jennifer couldn’t care less as she unfurled her wings to descend into the crater.

Rushing towards Jason, she smiled brightly, only to jump into his embrace.

Jason was still exhausted and felt like collapsing at any moment.

Yet, upon feeling Jennifer’s warm touch, he simply gave in to it as he embraced her tightly, only to hear her whisper in his ears.

“Welcome back!”

Smiling when he heard this, Jason even forgot to test out his newfound strength as a glint of determination could be seen in his eyes

At this very moment, a number of possible futures flashed through his mind, causing him to knit his brows.

They were clear and easily distinguishable from one another.

He had somehow subconsciously activated the blessing of Sira, giving him a view of something that was both horrifying and beautiful at the same time.

There were two different scenes that he saw at the exact same time, causing him to feel like he was suffocating all of a sudden.

“We have lots of things to do…are you ready?!”
