God's Eyes

Chapter 382: Fate changing fruit

Scorpio's amplification of 33% hit suddenly rock bottom with a big 0% while Artemis' amplification that has been raised to 100% due to the fact that she resided in his mana core was halved.

This shocked Jason greatly and his speed was barely comparable to an average 8th Master rank thanks to the fact that his mana core rank was at the 2nd Master rank and enlarged by a small margin from both baptisms he had received from Solaris.

'Urgh…what the hell is going on. Why is the petrification serpent in a berserk state and how is its curse so strong???' Jason lamented, not knowing how he should keep with the pace everyone else was rushing past him!

Suddenly he felt a huge hand grasping his waist as he was lifted on top of a large, fiery sabertooth tiger where two men were already seated.

"You are always good for a surprise Jason! I didn't expect to see you here, with a fortified soul conjunction at that"

Turning around, the young man who grasped him said.

"ISGA?" Jason exclaimed, both shocked and happy to see his friend while the person in front of Isga just lifted his hand saying

"You're welcome"

Artemis' wings dissipated in order to make himself more space as he made himself comfortable on the mount after taking a few deep breaths.

He couldn't even say 'thank you' yet, but the young man, that had to be the master of the fiery sabertooth tiger, didn't bother about that.

Nevertheless, Jason couldn't help but say thank you, knowing that he would die any moment if he were to be rejected from staying on the sabertooth tiger.

The petrification serpent's body shot out of the forest revealing its bloodshot eyes that began to glow in a faint brown-goldish light as the weakest Lowest Lique stage beasts had begun to slow down.

They had been paralyzed and Jason couldn't help but sigh, knowing that they would die any moment as he averted his gaze.

Looking forward his attention was drawn to the young man that was mounted on a beast called Hurricane Carnosauria. Carnosaurias belonged to one of the extinct races that reappeared after the mana outbreak. This Dinosaur had been long since extinct and reappeared so suddenly.

However, this was not important to Jason or anyone around because the Hurricane Carnosauria was the fastest soulbond.

Other than that it was also the strongest with the most liquefied mana drops inside its mana core.

But this was also not important for Jason right now because he stared through the young man riding on the Hurricane Carnosauria as he cursed.

"Why did this idiot steal one of the petrification serpent's eggs???"

Isga and the young man in front of him stiffened when Jason said this.

"What did you say?? WHO?" Isga's voice turned ice-cold which was something Jason hadn't seen from his new friend before.

"Eh...the young man on the Hurricane Carnosauria...didn't you two know that? Why are you all even in this large group? This doesn't look like a picnic to me?"

While Isga was fuming in anger, the young man in the front explained the situation to Jason calmly.

"First of all, my name is Yune Shiabi, and I'm from the Shiabi clan. You should know about it, right? Even if you don't, it doesn't matter. What you should know is that every few dozen years, the Mythic Garden gives birth to a fruit called 'Fate changing carado'

There are multiple things you can do with the fruit but the most important effect of it is that you can re-awaken your soul if you eat the fruit whole.

However, this is not what we were supposed to do. In the end, Canir's most prominent alchemist was able to mass-produce a potion called "Soul enhancing"-potion after he had gotten his hands on this fruit the last time it emerged.

There had been around 100 potions concocted and every single one of them was worth a huge fortune which some influential families have procured over centuries… Either way, the effect of such a potion is extremely potent and allows the person who drinks it to change his or her fate completely.

From a three-star soul awakening to a four or even 4.5-star soul awakening, everything was possible as long as you were talented enough!

I think you can already imagine what we were supposed to do...and that was definitely not to steal the petrification serpent's precious egg, causing it to enter a berserk state… That bastard from the Wirad family will get to know what it means to be besieged by several big clans once I get out of here...this f*cking son of a b*tch"

In the beginning, Yune's explanation was calm, but it turned more and more violent which caused Jason to gulp down his saliva

'I guess the Wirad clan will have a….large problem soon…'

Jason saw that this young man from the Wirad family was trying his best to hide the small egg that was placed in the pouch that hung on his belt.

However, his mana eyes perceived everything which included the mysterious color enveloping the petrification serpent's egg.

'If the petrification serpent wouldn't be behind us, I would give everything to get my hands on that egg….'

He had started to daydream once again, only to be interrupted by his soul that began to revolt against the petrification serpent's curse.

Shaking violently, the soul amplification curse began to change from a decrease of 50% to 40%, down to 10% before it shot up again.

It was as if his world and the soul amplification curse were clashing, trying to find out who the strongest is.

This allowed Jason to understand that not his origin as a Celestia halfling had been the main source for the Debilitation Centaur's curse to be inconsistent.

Rather than that, it was his soul world core fighting against the foreign object which the curse targeting him, was!

However, in that case, Jason couldn't say for sure whether his soul was influenced by the Celestia DNA he received.

The same was now occurring with the petrification serpent's race-specific weakening curse!

As such, he tried to get the hang of himself as he mumbled to Isga and Yune

"Should we change our direction and drift away from the Hurricane Carnosauria? In that case, we wouldn't be targeted by the petrification serpent!"

Jason's idea was logical and the best way out of their tricky situation.

Unfortunately, this would mean sacrificing everyone else which was something Yune didn'T want to do.

He rejected Jason's idea when Isga mumbled once he calmed down a little bit.

"If we're able to get rid of this son of a b*tch from the Wirad family, there shouldn't be a problem. The petrification serpent would get its offspring back and get revenge too...But that would be difficult too because the Wirad family would not only complain to the person who caused their descendant's death but probably declare war.

In the end, you can only see the petrification serpent's egg, right? You have no other evidence we could use to justify getting rid of that bast*rd…."

Somehow, Jason was glad that Isga was able to analyze everything level-headed but his words were somewhat vulgar which was not like he got to know him in the Mythic Garden.

Suddenly, he got an idea as he asked

"Is the fiery sabertooth tiger able to run faster? Maybe even take over the Hurricane Carnosauria...Just for a few seconds?"

Yune pondered for a moment before he shook his head.

"We won't even come close to the Hurricane Carnosauria…"

Using his mana eyes, he tried to find something that could help them because the petrification serpent was approaching them at a rapid pace.

Suddenly his gaze strafed past Yune before it returned to the young man in front of him.

Thinking about what he should say, Jason got an idea

"Yune...didn't you say that you come from the Shaibi clan? In that case, it wouldn't be surprising if you have a spatial affinity soulbond, right?

When Yune heard this, he was astonished for a moment before he nodded his head which caused Jason to question him further.

"In that case, you should be able to open a spatial gate too… at least I think, or is that not the case? If you can, how far is the distance? Can you create a small gate a few meters in front of the Hurricane Carnosauria?"

Understanding what Jason wanted to implement, Yune had to bring him back to reality as he said

"I might be able to create a spatial gate in front of the Hurricane Carnosauria but it wouldn't be large enough for the whole Carnosauria to fit through. This would shatter the portal, and make everything useless."

However, Jason couldn't help but turn serious as he asked

"Who said that the Hurricane Carnosauria should fit through the spatial gate if I'm enough?"
