Divine Path System

Chapter 1112 If You Ask Nicely

The supervisors looked at each other in confusion. There was a bit of suspicion in their mind but for now, they just thought he was having a bad day.

But Varian didn’t want to give any more time to increase that suspicion. An invisible bracelet on Baldur shook slightly and the man acted right away.

When no one else was looking, he drilled a hole into the hard ground using his toe and quietly dropped a special material in.

Then, putting on a face of great exhaustion, he hit that exact spot with the pickaxe.

BOOM!

The asteroid shook and a mushroom cloud rose into the air.

Countless auras looked at the position in an instant and the Havocs rushed to the site of the explosion.

“Platzen! Why are we so unlucky to get it here?” The big boss of the asteroid cursed and walked into the veil of smoke.

A crater the width of a large mall greeted him.

Along with him, other supervisors also walked in and began checking the surroundings.

Thankfully, only one guy was working here, so not a big loss. And there were no supervisors nearby, that’s a plus.

“Boss, he’s blasted into pieces.” A rough man pointed to the scattered flesh and bones.

“His death was worth it.” The boss sneered.

Mining the materials for drugs was very dangerous. Not to mention it needs to be done without much aura infusion lest the materials go through an irreversible change, these asteroids also have poisonous gases, compressed aura stones waiting to explode—Platzen and even hibernating beasts.

But that’s why so many slaves died. And that’s why Havocs needed more and more slaves. Without slavery, the drug trade would collapse.

“Right? Where is Harmor?” The boss looked for the second-in-command and found him missing. “Did he go back to his quarters?”

A supervisor in the back found his head dizzy and he spoke words he didn’t even intend to speak. “I’ll go check on him, boss.”

Saying so, he sprinted through the crater, to head straight to the Second-in-Command’s quarters.

“Wait, there could be more Platez ins—”

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

A chain of consecutive explosions rocked the asteroid.

The miners nearby already ran away after the original explosion. So, thankfully, they were all saved from this.

But the supervisors weren’t so lucky. The ones in the periphery were fine but the ones close suffered.

“Fuck! You fucking son of a bitch! Why are you so careless?” 𝘦𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝑙.

“Ahh!”

“Boss, save us!”

“It hurts! It fucking hurts!”

When the dust settled, the Boss stood up with an ugly expression. His arms were bleeding heavily and there was a big hole in his stomach.

Even as a rank 2, he suffered heavily because he was somewhat close to the center.

The supervisors were wailing on the floor with blasted limbs. Worse, there were a few incomplete corpses.

Thankfully, however, most were ali—

“Harmor?”

The boss’ eyes widened as he noticed a corpse in the distance inside a crater

It seems like Harmor was rushing here when the ground under him exploded.

“No, why did he die? This shouldn’t be enough to kill…Oh shit!” The boss covered his nose and backed away.

Silent Sleep! A deadly gas enough to insta-kill a celestial ranker!

“No! No! Arghh!” The boss screamed in anger and stopped on the ground.

At the same time, Varian also stomped on the floor of the spaceship. “It doesn’t have the space gem!”

“There are two more left,” Baldur said. “But with this incident, any abnormality on these asteroids will be exposed.”

“…If I don’t find it on the second asteroid, then I’ll just barge into the third treasury,” Varian said.

The only reason for playing safe was to not alert them and let them transfer away the treasuries.

If two out of three were wrong, the third one would definitely be right.

“There are two accidents of Platez in asteroids near the Space Dock. The investigation team with rank 2s has already reached the location.” An old golden-skinned male with a long dark golden beard bowed reported the situation.

“There are no accidents.” Neihor, the Patriarch of the Havoc tribe, sneered and walked out of the palace and into the space transmission hall.

A few men and women of either golden or red skin slowly surfaced and followed behind him.

“P-Patriarch, Young Master Netchaz requested you to approve the invasion.”

“Until this matter is over, ask them to put it on hold.” Neihor’s expression slowly hardened.

The transmission hall lit up and the space began to fluctuate.

“But Young Master really insists. Why should the invasion be held because of someone attacking our asteroids?” The old man, no, Netchaz’s maternal grandfather, asked with a grudging smile.

“Old fellow, have you gone senile?” Neihor looked at his father-in-law with disdain and pointed to the rank 2 warriors following behind him. “I’m not taking them for a vacation. Someone attacked us despite knowing the danger. They’re prepared! They’re confident!”

“B-But the Platez were real! It could just be a coincidence.”

“I hope you’re right. If you’re not, then we’re going to face a terrifying enemy.” Neihor laughed but killing intent began to leak out of him.

“There will be an attack on the third asteroid anytime soon, let’s go!”

— — — —

Celestial rankers were already pouring into the third asteroid. The surrounding regions were under high patrol and all mining activity was suspended. In a few minutes, the treasuries would be shifted away.

Havocs thought the first asteroid was an accident. But the second? It must be planned!

“Can you really deal with that many and enter the treasury?” Baldur stretched his arms and asked with a relaxed smile.

For a rank 4, no matter how many rank 1s or rank 2s came, it was child’s play. But not so for someone of Varian’s strength. At least, that’s what Baldur assumed.

“This isn’t part of the deal, but if you ask nicely, I can help.” Baldur smirked.

Varian didn’t even bother answering him and just jumped out of the spaceship.
