Cosmic Peak

Chapter 98 - Target: Demonic Temple

Aren was speechless at the thing he got from the inventory chest.

"Seriously...?" He muttered as he looked at a book in his hand with the title of [ Raaji's bizarre journey of five continents ], [ Latest edition ].

On the front page of that book was a drawing of a...naked sexy lady holding a royal fan in her hand.

Out of PURE curiosity, Aren opened the book and saw that it was a drawing storybook filled with 'you know what' content.

"The drawings are so lifelike," Aren muttered as he turned pages one by one hurridly and read the whole book of 108 pages in ten minutes.

Taking a deep breath, Aren threw the book behind him before he jumped into the river and took a bath while keeping his clothes on.

There was a bump on his middle section of the pants, and...well, after reading that book, he had to release the load, so he quickly finished with that before flying up as he continued moving towards the north.

He still stood on his Ikaros sword for support even though he could now fly without it due to his armor also being an Articule gear.

"I need to find another town...," Aren muttered as kept his eyes in the surroundings and constantly observed far distances with his Astral-X eyes.

He needed gold to buy a map, but now that he killed that person, he can't go back to Star-river kingdom's capital town or any surrounding town near it to buy a map even though he had enough gold coins. So, the only choice was to find another town while moving in the North direction.

After flying for thirty minutes while avoiding all obstacles, an outline of town finally entered his Astral-X eyes as Aren sped up.

Aren didn't want to waste any time here, so after entering the town, he directly went towards the store that sold maps and bought a map that cost him 3500 gold coins. This map covered the way to the Aeris Dyzen kingdom, which was situated in the Demonic continent.

After buying the map, Aren left the town and flew towards the Aeris Dyzen kingdom.

After flying for ten minutes, he saw a herd of [Torfire Seagul] flying in the front.

Aren didn't want to waste his time on anything and just wanted to reach the Demonic continent as soon as possible and invest his time there to get stronger. So, he decided to fly even higher and passed the herd of those monsters.

On the way, whenever he saw trouble from afar with his Astral-X eyes, he would avoid them and continue flying with the only goal of reaching his destination.

After flying for two days without taking any breaks, he finally entered the territory of the Demonic continent.

[Notice: As you are training in a demonic spinergy method, your speed of Spinergy training will be increased by 10% in Demonic Continent.]

'Yes! I half-expected to receive some benefits, and I guess I was right,' Aren thought with a grin, 'now the next goal is to find an active demonic post or an active demonic temple. Hmm, I should ask about them after entering a town on this continent.'

As such, Aren decided to continue flying by following the map as he chose to enter the capital town of the Aeris Dyzen kingdom, whose location was displayed on the map.

After flying for ten minutes, Aren noticed that his recovery speed of spirit energy had increased a bit.

'Hmmm...It should also be related to this demonic continent since I am training in a demonic-related spinergy method,' guessed Aren. He had started using <World Varnish> after entering here because he saw some demonic birds four kilometers away. So he noticed that his current spirit energy recovery speed was 22/min compared to 18/min.

Naturally, that was auto-recovery speed.

He could also speed up the recovery by entering meditation to absorb the spirit energy from the atmosphere, just like how spirit stone absorbs spirit energy from the atmosphere. These stones have such function due to their nature, however.

On the other hand, Aren has to meditate and focus to actively absorb spirit energy from the atmosphere to fill his spirit energy pool. The speed of actively recovering spirit energy was 180 per min.

...

Aren still avoided most of the monsters and beasts as he reached the Aeris Dyzen kingdom's capital town after six hours.

When he entered the town and entered inside, he saw some humans, but they were few compared to demonic beings. Most people here had horns, tails, and other such body additions.

The first thing he did was to find Guildhall.

After finding it, he entered inside and directly went to the front desk before asking the staff member behind the desk, "can you tell me about the location of any near demonic temple or demonic post?"

"Do you have a map?" said the staff member, who was a short humanoid with goat horns and red skin.

Aren took out the map he had from the inventory and gave it to the staff member.

"Hmm, you are pretty lucky. Do you see that mountain in the extreme corner of the map? There is a demonic temple right behind that mountain. From here, it's thirty kilometers."

"Thank you so much," Aren said with a smile as he took back the map and directly left the Guildhall.

After he left the town, he directly started flying towards the location of the demonic temple.

The good thing was that it was not too far from this capital town, and there were no monsters around here because the area around here is kept clean by the capital town.

There was no jungle or natural habitat around twenty kilometers surrounding the capital town.

After steadily flying for thirty minutes while avoiding all troubles, Aren finally reached the mountain and flew over it.

"This is a demonic temple?" Aren muttered with a surprised expression.

Behind the mountain was a valley, and the large temple was situated in it. It...looked beautiful with its exquisite wooden structure surrounded by a neatly arranged formation of trees with pink and sun-set orange leaves.

It looked nothing like the underground demonic temple that was bloody and scary.

"Stop!"

Two tengus with spears and scaled armor flew towards Aren and stopped him while pointing their spears at him.
