Chapter 350 – Cat Dad’s New Slave Seeks Trouble

Madoka ransacked the bank vault’s deposit boxes. She stored all physical PACT tokens, gold coins, artifacts, and spatial rings that she found.

After cleaning everything, she strolled out of the bank.

In front of the bank, many militia and local guards already surrounded it. They had expected the robber to be an immortal scylla, and they prepared all sorts of arrays to trap her.

However, when they noticed that the robber was Madoka, everybody panicked.

“L-Lady Madoka?! But why?!”

Madoka was the pillar of this city as she managed the town’s finance. Because of her, Asgard, Midgard, and many other countries still maintained a good relationship with the Mermaid Kingdom and the Border Town. Furthermore, she was the strongest guardian of this city, and she was responsible for warding off stray hydras and dangerous monsters in the deep sea. Even Medusa was not a match for her.

But at that moment, Madoka attacked Asgard Bank. She just offended both Asgard and Midgard, so this incident would also affect their diplomatic relationship in the future. In the worst-case scenario, they could declare war on the Mermaid Kingdom!

“Out of the way, dumbasses!”

Madoka bellowed, and the town guards shrank back in fear. She kicked the ground and shuttled toward the surface.

Madoka jumped out of the sea without caring for her eardrums and her lung pressure. As a deity, these things no longer affected her lifestyle and her body.

As soon as Madoka came out, she vanished and caused a ripple in the air. A split second later, a loud sonic boom erupted.

It took Madoka a few minutes to reach the heart of Midgard. The world tree, Yggdrasil, stood tall at the center of the capital city.

The scylla goddess ignored the civilization below and flew up, heading to the top of the world tree. As the world tree was over 1,000km tall, it took her a few minutes to reach the top.

Upon getting on the top of the world tree, the starry sky, the darkness, and a massive floating continent were the only things she saw. She followed the world tree’s branch and the stairs toward the Asgard Continent.

The path was heavily protected by immortal armies of Asgard. Everywhere was packed with patrol units and Einherjars. However, the immortal soldiers here were insignificant in her eyes. She ignored the troops and flew toward Asgard.

The guards on the path shouted and sent S.O.S. messages to their superior officers. As this was not the first time that they were invaded, they quickly formed ranks and prepared to activate their defensive arrays, expecting additional intruders.

Madoka blasted through the arrays and found a snow mountain range, which served as the natural barrier to block the intruders. She stopped to check her surroundings as she sensed multiple deities around her.

As the snow mountain range was tall and bulky, many deities and immortals resided in the caves around the mountains. Several of them created personal arrays and portals to connect their home-cave with the towns in Asgard Continent.

Among the residents, Madoka sensed the aura of Nian and the Chaos Demon Goddess of Spear. As Madoka forgot about her past deals with Asgard and Nian, she ignored them and turned her attention to Asgard. She kept flying, planning to enter the country and visit the Asgard Bank’s headquarters.

But as usual, the protector of Asgard came out. Because Heimdall was injured after the fight with the spear goddess, Loki took his place and yelled at Madoka for the sudden visit.

“What the hell are you doing, you bitch?! If you have any business here, you should have contacted me first! Haven’t you learned the regulations and the procedures?”

“I forgot,” Madoka snorted.

“Jeez. Why are you here this time? I thought the next shipment would be next week. Is there something wrong with your MSG?”

MSG that Loki mentioned wasn’t the monosodium glutamate or seaweed that Xiaomao knew. However, it referred to other products, which were illegal in the global market. It was the nickname for Mechanical Soldier Gears.

Mechanical Soldier Gears were the hidden project that Madoka, Jormungand Clan, Alice, Medusa, and Asgard gods had been working on. They were the weapons and armor that could be equipped to golems and mechanical units, which could enhance their fighting strength and make them capable of killing gods!

Madoka clapped her hands as she managed to recall the project. But as she was no longer working for Jormungand, Alice, and Medusa, she changed the subject.

“Nothing wrong. I just have some business with your bank.”

“Meh, don’t cause trouble in my country. Heimdall just fended off the spear demoness. We’re in a bad shape, you see?.”

Madoka smirked, mocking Loki in her mind. Then, she thought of something interesting.

The spear demoness that Loki had mentioned was still lurking inside one of the caves. Madoka was amused by how careless the security was.

But since she had discovered Nian’s location, it would have been unwise to leave him alone. Madoka immediately snitched on the caracal cat.

“Nian’s clone is hiding in one of the caves. Instead of worrying about me, you should be worrying about your country. What if Pangu suddenly backstabs you and invades Asgard?”

“WHAT?!”

Loki panicked and began searching. He checked every cave and hole to find the cat.

It didn’t take long for Loki to locate the caracal cat’s clone. He also discovered the spear demoness in one of the caves.

“Thanks! I’ll call for reinforcement now. You can go ahead.”

“Meh, get yourself killed, dickhead.”

“You, too, bitch.”

They bid farewell and parted ways. Loki descended and contacted his subordinates while Madoka got a free pass to Asgard.

A stout immortal with a round belly sat at a black wood desk, looking at the projected hologram in the center of his office. The snakeman in the hologram cried and bowed to him.

“Are you serious?” The fat immortal frowned.

‘I’m not lying, boss! Madoka blasted through our bank vault and took everything. We need Lord Odin’s help, now!’

The Asgard Bank’s CEO in Asgard Bank’s HQ received the calls from the Border Town’s branch. Everybody said the same thing Madoka had betrayed them and robbed their vault.

The estimated loss was 20 billion PACTs, not including artifacts and gears in the deposit boxes!

Exhausted from the repeated calls, the fat CEO cut it short.

“Alright, I get it. I’ll report this matter to our king.”

The call ended, and the hologram vanished. The fat immortal stood up and sent a voice transmission to the secretary of Asgard Palace right away.

The secretary instantly replied with a clear voice. As usual, her sweet voice soothed the bank CEO.

‘What’s wrong, Vain?’

“Lady Silveria, please inform Lord Odin that one of our allies has betrayed us. That Scylla Goddess Madoka just ransacked my bank in the Mermaid Kingdom.”

Silveria was the strongest immortal of Asgard. Although she was a half-step deity, who possessed the level of 9,999, she was capable of killing deities whose level was below 15,000. Not only her strength and potential were exceptional, but her beauty was unrivaled as well. Countless men proposed to her, but she shot them down.

Because of her status and beauty, she sought protection under Freya. Under the umbrella of Odin’s wife, nobody dared to approach or court her anymore, including Odin, Thor, and Loki.

‘Affirmative. I shall inform our lord right away.’

As cold as ever, Silveria cut the communication.

Suddenly, a loud siren alarmed him, and the deafening noise snapped Vain back to his senses.

“WE’RE UNDER ATTACK!”

Someone screamed. The next moment, the town and the building collapsed.

Vain roared and shuttled out of the building, breaking and flying through the roofs. He levitated in the dark sky, looking around and searching for the intruder.

It didn’t take long for him to spot the massive scylla with countless tentacles. However, the incoming purple flame instantly burned him to ash.

Vain died on the spot.

Madoka looked down on the immortals of Asgard. She sneered at them.

“So small, so weak, just like insects and ants.”

A hundred tentacles transformed into giant pythons. They opened their mouths and breathed purple flame, burning the town, buildings, and immortals to ash. Most of the immortals left behind unburnable leather pouches, bags, and spatial rings after death.

Cleaning up the messes that the hundred flame pythons made, the other one hundred tentacles transformed into silver anacondas. They collected the dropped items, storage pouches, and rings by swallowing them. All items in their bellies instantly transferred to Madoka’s game inventory.

It didn’t take long for Madoka’s inventory slots to be filled to the brim. She took her time to sort all rings in one bag and transfer the content of the other containers to the rings.

Because of the distraction, Madoka wasted a lot of time, and the scary gods arrived at the scene.

Odin was taken aback when he saw Madoka. He immediately pulled Thor back before he started negotiating.

“What are you doing, scylla?! I thought we were allies!”

Madoka paused and stared at Odin, recalling her past memory. She managed to remember him and their past deals, but she forgot the detail because of Xiaomao’s power.

Still, Madoka thought of something and smirked. As usual, her karen behavior resurfaced.

“I’m here to claim what’s mine. Give me the assets of this account’s owner, now!”

Madoka brought out Joan’s debit card. Then, he tossed it toward Odin and Thor.

Odin caught it with his finger and glanced at it. His expression turned dark.

“Was it you who killed Joan?”

“It wasn’t me.”

“And how did you get your hands on this?”

Madoka grinned, “From my new master.”

“Master… what?!”

Odin and Thor sensed something wrong. They read Madoka’s karma and noticed that she was cursed.

From their vision, the black thick karma strings bound with Madoka’s soul. They mended and became one with her, and her life force slowly flowed toward the other side of the karma string.

Odin tried to trace it, but the karma strings disappeared midway.

Unable to find the owner of the karma string, Odin probed for more information.

“You are cursed, scylla. Do you want us to help you?”

“I’m aware.”

Odin was surprised. Normally, cursed deities always wanted them removed as their lifespan was on the line. However, Madoka was too calm.

“Back to the topic, why are you doing this?! Why are you attacking my country?”

Madoka thought of the cute white catopus master. Although Odin’s words reminded her of the curse, she had no intention of breaking or removing it. For an unknown reason, all emotion and instinct urged her to kill everybody here to remove her master’s enemies.

“For my dear master. I can sense my master’s hatred toward your country.”

Thor had enough. He bellowed and summoned his hammer, “WHO IS YOUR MASTER?!”

“Obviously, my dear master Xiaomao. For his love, for his happiness, and for his desire!”

Odin and Thor narrowed their eyes. They got the crucial info they needed.
