Back For My Daughter

Chapter 167 - I Am Luo Ya!

In the old man's shop, Ye Qian told the number of people who will be eating dinner.

This caused the old man to have his eyes wide open.

"Young man, these many people? Are you sure this is not a feast, which you will be making by yourself?"

Ye Qian's answer made him worry about him since the number of people Ye Qian had said was likely to be the same if there was some kind of a feast.

"Hmm yes, while the number of people is a bit less, but still they will eat more than their normal, so it's fine to get things like for 20 people."

Ye Qian obviously understood why the old man was worried but he waved his hand and replied.

"Hmm."

He nodded and continued to cut the meat into bite-size pieces since it would take long for Ye Qian to do it when he went back home.

"Hey, then why don't you add one more dish, it will be quick and you would be able to eat with rice as well."

After placing the packed meat and bones the old man said.

"Huh which?"

Ye Qian asked he could make something that was simple and didn't take much time as well if the people were already hungry and needed to eat something.

"You see the Beef Stir Fry is really an easy recipe, all it needs is for you to make thin slices of beef and then fry it, then you can just stir fry it in some onions and capsicum, it's a simple appetizer if you want to make?"

The old man said with a bright smile.

Ye Qian's eyes brightened hearing the old man, when he was at University, he and his friends would always go late at night to satisfy some late-night cravings, and most loved food was of course the Beef Stir Fry which was given with some Steamed rice and some chilli sauce and some soy eggs.

Remembering those days with his friends at the University, Ye Qian sighed, the last time he had met them was most likely to be when he and Yuan Meng were married and then too not many had come to their wedding, it was mostly Ye Qian's roommates which were his friends as well, and with some of Yuan Meng's dorm mates which were quite close to her.

Ye Qian sighed as he remembered those days and then again thought that since they rarely had anyone had even called him later, it was not like he was not like while he was missing but the two and half-year he was after they were finished studying.

Ye Qian shook his head and let go of those thoughts.

"Hmm, then pack about a kg or two of the beef and don't cut it I will cut it later."

Ye Qian continued as he gave it a thought.

"Hmm."

The old man smiled and then picked up a really thick piece of beef which seemed to have been cut just a few hours ago and without weighing it he placed it in the bag.

With his years of experience in this, the old man had understood that the meat piece was not much than that of about 2 kg and some hundreds of grams extra, but he would only charge Ye Qian for the 2 kgs.

__________

Meanwhile, as Ye Qian and the old man were discussing the meat and other things behind them and even more interesting meeting was going on.

The two little girls Little Qiqi and Little Jia were closely looking at Xiao Ya, who was standing with her head low and her hands close to her.

It seemed like she was being interrogated.

"Big Sister, Qiqi feels like I have seen this little girl somewhere!"

Little Qiqi exclaimed after she studied Xiao Ya for a whole minute or so.

"Huh, Qiqi are you sure?"

Little Jia asked with raised brows.

"Hmm Yes Big Sister, and Qiqi feels like I have seen her just a few days ago."

Little Qiqi said as she tried to remember when she had sent the little girl in front of her.

"Hmm."

Little Jia nodded and then smiled at Xiao Ya.

"Hello, I am Jia."

She said while bringing her hand forward to shake it with the girl.

"Umm, hi, my name is Luo Ya."

The little girl raised her eyes and then again glanced below a few times as if studying Little Jia and then replied clumsily.

If a person were to see her for the first time, then they might think of her as a shy little girl for sure.

But the reality was not the same as always.

Coming back to reality (cough).

With how shy Luo Ya was, Little Jia giggled and extended her hand to pat her head.

"Hehe, don't worry, I am not much older than you."

Luo Ya might not be much older than 4 years old or at most, she might be 4 years of age, so it was real since Little Qiqi was about to be 5 years in a few weeks.

And Little Jia was just a few 7 or 8 months older than Little Qiqi, so the difference between all the three was almost negligible, but their academic level was different.

"Hmm."

"Then you can call me Xiao Ya as well, my grandpa calls that to me."

The little Luo Ya nodded and then extended her hand said with a bright smile.

Her voice was much more energetic than before and Little Jia was a bit taken aback by her sudden change.

As the two little girls were speaking with each other for some time, just a few distances away from them Little Qiqi pondered with her finger on her chin and looking carefully at the little Luo Ya.

After a few seconds, her eyes brightened as she finally remembered where she had seen Xiao Ya after quite a while of pondering.

"Yes, I remember."

She smiled at the little girl and called out in excitement.
