Back For My Daughter

Chapter 154 - All She Could Wish For!

In the living room Ye Qian, Grandma Yan, Yuan Meng and Ning Wei were having some talk.

Yuan Meng introduced Ning Wei as a friend and colleague and as Little Jia's mother.

Meanwhile, Grandma Yan continued to study Ning Wei from head to toe as if she was seeing her new daughter in law with her great eyesight.

Ning Wei also had her head low and didn't dare to look Grandma Yan in her eyes.

"Ohh, just like my other granddaughter her mother is indeed a beauty and even more cute."

Grandma Yan said as she extended her hands towards Ning Wei to bring her into her embrace.

Ning Wei was a bit flustered and didn't know what she should do.

Finally, she eased herself and hugged Grandma Yan..

While she hugged her, Ning Wei felt a sense of comfort she had never felt, it was like someone who was dear to her almost like a mother.

In a few seconds, her nose felt sour and two streaks of tears surged down her cheeks uncontrollably.

She didn't know why but she felt a sense of familiarity and felt like what she had never got for her whole life was now finally in front of her.

"Sniff...snifff...."

Grandma Yan's eyes furrowed hearing the sniffing on her ears.

This had happened twice to her and quickly found that it was Ning Wie who was crying on her back.

"Ohh dear why are you crying isn't mom right here."

Her words completely shattered Ning Wei's defence and she fell into Grandma Yan's embrace and started to cry.

The little girls looked at them and then glanced at Ye Qian and Yuan Meng.

The two smiled and waved their hands telling them it was all fine.

"There there my little girl, you are just like Jia, started to cry just like that."

Grandma Yan rubbed her back and consoled Ning Wei as she saw Yuan Meng nod and then remembered Little Jia's simple heart.

"Sniff...sniff."

"Sorry, I just never had someone like a mother before."

Ning Wei stopped herself from crying and apologized.

Grandma Yan sighed and looked at Ning Wei with pity and care.

Now she understood why Ning Wei cried after she embraced her.

This feeling of being loved by like a mother was new to her and Grandma Yan could understand how she might have been feeling in her heart.

She sighed and caressed Ning Wei's face and smiled.

"You are the same to me as Little Meng so don't ever say sorry to me."

Seeing Grandma Yan's actions Ye Qian smiled and nodded at Yuan Meng who was also smiling.

"Sniff...Yes Auntie."

Ning Wei sniffed and said with a simple smile.

And to everyone's disbelief, Grandma Yan frowned after hearing Ning Wei's words.

Ning Wei saw the change in Grandma Yan's expression and her heart tightened for some unknown reason.

"Umm, I..."

Ning Wei wanted to apologize when she was cut off in the middle by Grandma in a harsh tone.

"Didn't I say you are Little Meng to me, then how can you call me Auntie it sounds so unfamiliar."

Hearing Grandma Yan, Ning Wei's eyes widened in shock and her heart felt a surge of warmth.

"Hehe."

Behind her, Yuan Meng giggled understanding what Grandma Yan meant.

"Mom, you could have scared Sister Wie silly?"

Yuan Meng said while she patted Ning Wie's shoulder and said to Grandma Yan.

"Huh, could I?"

Grandma Yan raised her brows and asked.

She glanced at Ning Wie and shook her head.

She now really didn't know how could a simple-minded and pure-hearted girl like Ning Wei stay in such an atrocious society till now.

"Ok, Mom, I will not say sorry again."

To Ning Wei it was not then what she could dream of now she had a chance of being loved and from now she would also have someone she could call as a mother.

Ning Wei felt like she was the luckiest in the world for the day with Ye Qian's recognition and with how Grandma Yan loved her.

Now she would never have the small darkness in that corner of her heart which always yearned for love, care, family.

This was all she could always wish for and even more than that.

Grandma Yan continued to caress Ning Wei's face and the more she did the more she felt Ning Wei was just like a sensible daughter which every mother could have.

Though she liked Yuan Meng she was sometimes a bit playful, but Ning Wei was more sensible than Yuan Meng if she could say it.

Grandma Yan sighed while pitying Ning Wei's life for all this while and then said.

"Ok, now that you both are out how about we cook some food for everyone?"

Grandma Yan said with a bright smile.

Ning Wei's eyes shone hearing her and nodded her head in excitement.

"Little Qi wanted to cook before but I stopped him saying that I wanted to join, but now that I remember, Little Qi, I never saw you cook."

Grandma Yan said while smiling at the two ladies and turned to Ye Qian while she continued.

"Now that I think of it, will the food you cooked for all of us even be edible?"

Grandma Yan said while scratching her chin.

"Pfttt"

"Pfttt."

The two ladies Yuan Meng and Ning Wei burst out laughing after hearing Grandma Yan's words, they didn't know if they should laugh or cry at her speculations.

But seeing Ye Qian in front of them they quickly controlled themselves.

They didn't want him to feel bad and more than that they didn't want him to feel bad in something in which he excelled.

According to the two Ye Qian made the most delicious food they had ever tasted.

"En?"

Grandma Yan was baffled by the sudden change around her and glanced at the two ladies.

Meanwhile, behind her, Ye Qian's lips twitched while the muscles on his face distorted.

He could never believe his mother would doubt him and that too when he was going to cook.
