After finishing the instant noodles, Li Ran felt very satisfied. She also felt sleepy again since she barely had any rest.
Li Ran yawned and looked at Wang Gang with an apologetic look on her face.
“Can you continue driving? I want to sleep for a while. I’ll take over once I’ve woken up.”
Wang Gang readily agreed, “Sure, but the car is out of gas. There’s a gas station about two miles away. I’ll just walk there and bring back some gas. You guys can rest while waiting for my return.”
“Out of gas?”

“This pistol is filled with bullets. There are ten in total. Take it. Be careful on the road. We’ll be waiting for you.”

He smiled and refused the offer.

Wang Gang was about to set off but he was forcefully stopped by Li Ran. She shoved the pistol into his hand.
“You don’t have any special abilities. You’ll need the pistol. Don’t worry about us. We’re in a much safer position than you.”
After saying that, Li Ran turned around and left. She would not take “no” as an answer. Wang Gang held onto the pistol tightly and let out a long breath. There was a sincere look in his eyes.
Meanwhile, Yang Shao was sitting in the car with the couple. They saw everything that had happened.

Li Ran returned to the car and closed the door. She turned on the GPS and dialed Lin Nan’s number again.
A beeping sound could be heard.

Li Ran gave up and decided to leave another voice message.
She told Lin Nan their current location and the route that they were going to take to the safety base. She even informed him of her companions and that they had some supplies.
Finally, she added, “Hubby, I hope that we can meet up soon. I have a surprise for you.”
Yang Shao was stunned when he heard what Li Ran said. He could not suppress his curiosity and asked, “Li Ran, you’re already married?”
Li Ran had just hung up the phone. She quickly answered with a smile, “Yes, I’ve been married for some time now.”
“That’s great. I couldn’t tell at all. You look so young. You’re really a natural beauty.”
