Moments later after it was contracted, the egg actually expressed its intentions to 'eat' the Mild Tempered Crocodile's corpse in front of him shamelessly. 

It no longer bothered to hide its desire to gobble the corpse at all now that it was already his contracted Beast.

Ban could only shake his head at this, as he lamented whether the decision to contract this greedy fellow was the right one. He knew that this would only continue later on.

First, there was the main ability of Greed that also 'devours' the corpse of any Beast, Monster and even human for him to strengthen himself quite easily. Then there was its second active ability that also needed a corpse, to form a random skill for him to acquire. 

And now, there was this egg that also needed to consume a corpse, just so it could hatch. 

If this continues, he doesn't know if he could still bring any Elite Grade corpse or above to sell to Joana later. 

For now, the second active ability of Greed was already used up, and it will reset during midnight. He got the new Skill, Enraged Crocodile's Roar from using that ability of Greed and Ban looked forward to the future Skills that he will gain through it. 

As for Greed's main ability, the 'Devour', Ban did not want to use it carelessly on a 'low-leveled' Beast. It must be noted that the stronger the Beast the 'Devour' was used on, the stronger its effect towards Ban will be.

Ban was already planning to kill the Pseudo or Quasi D-Master Rank for Greed's main ability Devour previously, but after thinking about it, he still doesn't know whether he has the capability to kill it. It was a Quasi D-Master Rank after all, at the end of the day, Quasi D-Master Rank was still a D-Master Rank albeit slightly weaker, but the name D-Master Rank alone was enough to deter him a bit. After all, D-Master Rank was a whole new realm compared to still being at the E-Elite Rank. 

After thinking deeply about it, Ban thought that if he really wanted to kill a Quasi D-Master Rank, he could only do so by going all out. All preparations must be made in advance and he should be at his best condition, with all of his Skills available to be used, including Eva's. 

In the end, he chose to kill it and use the 'Devour' ability after strengthening himself a bit more. He decided to kill it last, as what grandpa Kuys always said before, the good ones should be served last. 

Anyways, Ban decided to put the matter regarding the 'Devour' for now as he focused his mind on the Unknown Egg for now. It still needs to consume 49 Elite Grade Beasts after all. 

Ban was actually planning on cooking the thick thigh of the Crocodile for dinner, but feeling the desire of the Unknown Egg, he could only give it up and decided to search for another one later. 

Just like how wanted, Ban placed the Unknown Egg above the Mild Tempered Crocodile's corpse.

The Unknown Egg actually glowed a little the instant its surface touched the Mild Tempered Crocodile's skin. As if it was assessing it, the Unknown Egg throbbed with a strange light that also seems to travel towards the skin of the crocodile.

A moment later, as if it was satisfied with it, it immediately started the absorption process. 

Just like how it happened for the Rogue Red Termite, the absorption process was very swift. It only took a couple of seconds for the huge corpse of the crocodile to become thin. It was as if all of its flesh had been sucked away at this instant, and that only its skin was left. 

As if it was not enough, the skin of the crocodile actually started to decompose at a speed visible to the naked eye. A minute later, the huge corpse of the Mild Tempered Crocodile was reduced into just a puddle of dark blood that was now floating in the water as if it was cooking oil floating on a water, 

Ban was taken aback at how fast it consumed that large corpse. What was even more surprising was that its size did not noticeably change after consuming that corpse that was at least fifteen times bigger than it in size. 

However, Ban could tell that it's color had now changed from a balanced combination of red and blue to a more reddish while some bluish color mixed here and there. 

As the Unknown Egg was already starting to sink to the water, Ban immediately took it and placed it on his lap again. He was surprised yet again as it was now heavier compared to its earlier mass. 

From the thought that it passed to Ban, he was able to deduce that the Unknown Egg was already full. According to it, it still needs two or more hours to fully digest what it just consumed, including the Rogue Red Termite earlier before it could consume another entity that was on par with the Elite Grade Rogue Red Termite and Elite Grade Mild Tempered Crocodile. 

At the moment, consuming two Elite Grade every two to three hours was its limit. 

Ban nodded in understanding after learning that. He thought that it was only normal for it to have a buffer time, or else, it would surely be very overpowered. 

A moment later, the Unknown Egg 'requested' to be transferred back to the Beast Tattoo. It said that it was very comfortable there and that its digestion process would also be shortened if it stayed there. Ban nodded his head and placed it on the same spot from earlier. 

He checked the time and there was only over fifteen minutes left before the Giant Red Dragonfly Egg hatch. Ban felt excitement run through his veins as he awaited he observed the egg that now has a lot of crack on its surface. 

If it was not for the timer given by the System, Ban even felt that the Giant Red Dragonfly Beast would jump out of its egg shell the next moment. 

Unfortunately, such a thing would not happen until the timer was still there. 

Although fifteen minutes or more was not that long of a wait, Ban still decided to set it aside and move towards another location. 

Staying at one location for a period of time also has its risk, especially on the location he was in now that was quite open. 

Ban looked at the 'dried' corpse of the Enraged Crocodile one last time before he reluctantly left. Although the corpse was still there, Ban knew that it was already unusable. Even using it as an ingredient for cooking was no longer possible. 

The thick skin of the Enraged Crocodile that was sapped dry by Plunder will also crumble if it was used to forge armor or any weapon. It was now a useless corpse, literally. 

It was already starting to get dark so while Ban was moving further away from the territory of the crocodile, he also searched for a place suitable to sleep for the night. 

After some time, he finally found a cave with a small opening, enough to fit him if he crawled. Although the entrance was as such, the inside was actually spacious. He already knew that the inside was clear of threat after letting Eva inspect it with her sensor skill. 

Just as Ban was about to settle down and prepare his dinner, a System notification suddenly surfaced in front of his eyes.
