Almighty Summoner System

The Unknown Egg's appearance has significantly changed ever since the first time Ban saw it above the altar of the Two-Tailed Rats combined nests. 

Maybe it was because of it consuming the Rogue Red Termite, but it's size was now as big, if not bigger than Ban's head. It's color was now a mix of blue and red, with them encircling the egg as if they were clouds or thick liquids with great density that wanted to mix, but couldn't. 

Holding it with his two hands while sitting down, Ban felt hotness and coldness run through his palm at the same time. However, that feeling was ever changing, it seems to exist at one moment and not at the next moment. 

The feelings on his palms changed as well, not only on the temperature and weight aspect but also to a deeper level that he wasn't aware of. He asked the System about this, but it refused to answer anything. Ban thought that it might also be as ignorant as he was regarding this matter so he soon stopped asking it and focused on observing the Unknown Egg on his hand. 

As he stared at it, Ban could not help but feel fear all of a sudden. He doesn't know why he felt that way as that thought roused inside him all of a sudden. 

However, he soon calmed himself down as he thought that it was only normal. After all, the Egg on his hand right now was capable of enticing even the Rogue Red Termite, and it was only an egg at the moment. If he didn't feel afraid, he must either be brave or ignorant. 

Ban wiped the sweat on his forehead as he heaved a sigh of relief. Fortunately, this egg would soon be his. He was not worried that it would not accept the Blood Contract this time. After all, the System already said that the egg was willing. 

And thanks to his Skill, 'Blood Contractor', as long as he contracts a Beast, their loyalty towards him will always be at 100%. It was not to the point of them being a mindless slave. Just like Eva, they could still think and make decisions for their own, but of course, loyalty here meant that they wouldn't betray him, and all of their actions always leaned to Ban's favor. 

It was a threat to him right now, but after he successfully contracts it and it hatched, it will soon become one, if not his stronger contracted Beasts. 

He only has Eva and the unhatched Giant Red Dragonfly Egg from now, but based on the requirements of the Unknown Egg to be hatched alone, Ban was sure that it would at least be on par, if not strong enough to rival Eva, just right after it hatched. 

Ban placed the ever changing Unknown Egg on his lap while he took the sword from his Dimensional Storage. Eva also moved closer to the Egg at this time as he inspected it closely. She was wary of it as she felt 'danger' vibes coming from it. She worriedly warned about it by making some grr grr sounds, but Ban only smiled and patted her small head before reassuring her that it was fine. 

As biting his fingers till it bleed proved to be more painful than getting cut by the sword swiftly, Ban decided to always use this method from now on. 

He made a cut on his forefinger, a cut enough for it to bleed quite a lot. Ban squeezed that finger so that it would 'produce' more blood and after seeing that the amount was already satisfactory, he immediately initiated the Blood Contractor Skill without delay. 

His right hand and forefinger moved at the same time, drawing that mysterious symbol on the surface of the Unknown Egg's bluish and reddish color. As the Egg was bigger than before, while his wound already started to heal due to 'Greed's' passive and the corpse of the Mild Tempered Crocodile, he gritted his teeth and made another cut till it bleed before he proceeded to draw that mysterious symbols on the surface of the Egg. 

After a couple of minutes, Ban was finally done drawing the mysterious symbol. It formed a strange pattern at the surface of the egg, and the strange pattern covered all angles of the Unknown Egg. 

The moment Ban drew the final line of the mysterious patterns, it immediately glowed with a red hue, before the drawing slowly disappeared or faded, as if they were being sucked by the Unknown Egg itself. 

Ban was taken aback by it as he thought that the Blood Contract failed yet again. However, his expression soon turned to that of a smile as a bluish screen as directly presented in front of him a few moments later. 

[Congratulations, you have successfully contracted the Unknown Egg!

The Unknown Egg, and the entity that will hatch from it will now be loyal and would not betray you.

When Ban thought that it would end there, another one soon followed suit.

As an apology for failing to notify the Host for the danger inside the Beast Tattoo, and as a reward for contracting the Unknown Egg, the System and the Ancient Summoner, ****, will reward the Host with an Elite Grade, Pseudo D-Master Rank Beast Core of the highest quality. 

The System also would like to warn the Host to refrain from allowing other entities to enter the Beast Tattoo, even if they willingly wanted to enter, as it might get dangerous for your contracted Beast inside. 

The System also urges the Host to immediately hatch the Unknown Egg and record it on the Book of Techniques, All About Them. The System will reward the Host for it, and also to the future Unknown Egg or Beasts that the Host will contract.

Ban was surprised by the additional reward but he did not shy away from it and gladly accept it. After all, who would reject such a blessing? Especially now that he clearly needed Beast Cores the most?

Although Ban thought of disposing of the Rogue Red Termite before, he later changed it as he thought that it was possible to make into his land mount. Hence the reason why he was dissatisfied about it being killed all of a sudden due to the System's late notifications. 

However, the dissatisfaction that he felt on losing the Rogue Red Termite and the System failing to inform him was already gone after this reward that he got. He thought the Rogue Red Termite had done its part, and in the future, if he met it again, on this world or in the Monster Realm, he promised to contract it again and treat it nicely. 

After contracting the Unknown Egg, the fear that Ban felt towards it was already gone. He could also feel their connection getting deeper, unlike the previous time when he tried to use the Blood Contractor at it before when he almost succeed. 

The fear was now replaced by an endless gaze of care, as if a parent looking at their precious child for the first time. 

However, this caring gaze of his did not last long. With their deep connection, Ban was able to deduce what the Unknown Egg wanted and he could not help but want to boil it down and make it his dinner. 

'What a greedy fellow!'
