Young Master Lu’s Lovely New Bride

Chapter 213 - I Love You, Xiaoxi

Chapter 213 I Love You, Xiaoxi

Luo Xiaoxi made no attempt to hide her complacency.

She pursed her lips and said, “That’s right! I have told you a thousand times that I am Miss Popularity, you just won’t hate me!”

“…”

It was the first time for Su Yicheng to have expressed his affection so seriously, which only served to invoke nothing but her narcissism?

But such was Luo Xiaoxi, a long-existing fact unnecessary to be fussed over, considering there was a long way to go in their relationship hereafter.

Luo Xiaoxi “coughed”, trying to look earnest. “Su Yicheng, there’s something I’m wondering about.”

“Go ahead.”

“So… last night… why didn’t you tell me that?”

Su Yicheng’s intention was so conspicuous yesterday as to perhaps seem intimidating to her. But had he confessed his affection to her yesterday, she would definitely have been touched and accepted his love, which would be a sure thing since he thought he knew her well.

“But why didn’t he then?”

Unexpectedly, Su Yicheng raised his brows with displeasure and uttered a cold and solemn voice. “Luo Xiaoxi, I mean it. What do you think about that sentence? Honeyed words to seduce you? ”

Luo Xiaoxi was taken aback—”If Su had tried to fool me with that sentence, he would have definitely succeeded.”

But if she said that, would Su Yicheng wring her neck?

Thinking of this, Luo Xiaoxi swiftly gave a gentle charming smile and pinched Su Yicheng’s face. “I am so very touched!” After that, she kissed Su hard.

She was really moved, but moved by her own persistence with him.

It had been more than a decade of her hot pursuit before the man who now became hers. Now she was no more miserable after Su Yicheng’s confessions.

From now on, could she ride on Su Yicheng’s head?

Su Yicheng saw through what Luo Xiaoxi was thinking at once, so he had to preempt. “You’d better mind my words from now on! You may only try something like walking the catwalk or modeling on magazine covers!”

Luo Xiaoxi. “But I wanna make a splash from models to showbiz…”

“You don’t need to.” Su Yicheng interrupted. “Plus, no films and TV shows!”

Young actresses seldom performed without love stories, even as minor roles. Unless he was blind, he would loath to see Luo’s intimacy with other men, even if on the screen.

“How can I make a fortune without fame?” Luo Xiaoxi deliberately fell into his bosom. “Damn it. Will you provide for me?”

Su Yicheng snorted. “I can absolutely!”

“Then get me some clothes first at least!” Luo Xiaoxi hardened herself slightly. “I’m going back home this afternoon; how can I wear this?”

Su dialed a number and explained a few words. The other end asked, “Boss Su, could you tell me the lady’s height and sizes?”

“173 cm.” Su Yicheng began to study Luo Xiaoxi carefully and suddenly circled her into his arms. With his hands, Su Yicheng gave Luo Xiaoxi’s measurements.

No sooner had he hung up the phone did Luo Xiaoxi climb onto his body. “How can you be so exact? I bet it’s not the first for you.”

“Really?” Su Yicheng looked at his hands. “First time for me indeed.”

“Nonsense!”

Luo Xiaoxi wouldn’t believe it, but she asked no further and became a mess with Su Yicheng on the sofa.

More than forty minutes later when the doorbell rang, Su Yicheng tapped Luo Xiaoxi. “The clothes! Go open the door.”

Luo Xiaoxi responded and opened the door with only her head sticking out. Suddenly, she was stunned—Why was it Ada, chief secretary of Lu Boyan?

Ada was surprised to see Su Yicheng and Luo Xiaoxi, but her professionalism enabled her to make the appropriate response. “Ms. Luo, please try it on!”

“Thank you.”

Luo walked her way back into the living room, with the clothes and a complicated mind.

Had she not seen Ada, she would have forgotten the disaster caused by her—she leaked the Cheng An Group’s scheme, which was known by all the staff of it.

Now that they had been an item, slanders must find their way… among the staff.

Seeing Luo Xiaoxi was brooding, Su Yicheng asked, “Don’t you like the clothes that Ada sent?”

“Why did you ask Ada to do it?” Luo Xiaoxi stared at him in bewilderment, which later became anxiety and insecurity.” What if she breaks this new…”?

She couldn’t bear to say more.

Having appreciated Luo Xiaoxi’s moods, he beckoned to her. “Come over here.”

Luo Xiaoxi moved slowly but finally went to him.

“I’ve told you that I mean it.” Su Yicheng cradled her into his arms. “I am not in the slightest interested in secret love, so I won’t hide our relationship.”

“So that’s why he let Ada know it?” She thought.

Luo Xiaoxi drooped her head. “As for the shit I’ve done that time…”

Su Yicheng cradled her again to stop her. “I know you were not deliberate. Needless to mention it again, alright?”

Now Luo Xiaoxi was inexpressibly moved and nodded hard. “I promise you that!”

Now Su Yicheng didn’t understand. “Promise what?”

“I won’t be an actress.” Luo Xiaoxi said after a thought, “And I will quit drinking!… Of course, I may drink a little when necessary…”

“Xiaoxi…” Su Yicheng suddenly called her.

” Yes?”

“… Nothing much.” Su Yicheng would have said somthing but he changed the topic. “What time are you going home this afternoon? I will send you back.”

“At four or five o’clock.” Luo Xiaoxi did not notice Su Yicheng’s unusualness, and anwsered without hesitation, “I have to go back for dinner with my parents.”

“Come back tonight.” Now Su Yicheng’s head was buried between Luo Xiaoxi’s shoulder and neck. The hot breath made her itch.

Luo Xiaoxi moved, feeling uncomfortable. “You know that I’ve moved back and now I’m living with my parents.”

“Come and live with me ASAP.”

Luo Xiaoxi was speechless for a long while. “My dad will kill me.”

“You can rest assured.” Su Yicheng smiled. “I will tell him about us.”

For a moment, Luo Xiaoxi suspected what she had heard.

For so many years, she had known almost every girlfriend of Su Yicheng. She also had known Su Yicheng had his rule: He had kept his every girlfriend and himself away from each other’s family and friends.

“But he just now said that he was going to visit her father?”

Unable to hold back the smile on her lips, she laid down on the sofa with Su Yicheng’s legs as a pillow. “I am coming to you tomorrow!”

Su Yicheng hooked up a wisp of Luo Xiaoxi’s curly hair and agreed with a trifle reluctance.

Soon, Luo Xiaoxi fell asleep on the sofa. Su Yicheng held her back to the bedroom in arms and dialed Zhang Mei’s number.

A riverside cafe, less than five minutes’ drive from Su Yicheng’s apartment, was where he would meet Zhang Mei.

Zhang Mei made up obviously exquisitely but looked quite gaunt, which was as if not to be reduced even with the best cosmetics. Only sheer emptiness possessed her eyes. “Yicheng, now you are finally willing to see me.”

“Now Xiaoxi’s my girlfriend.” Su Yicheng was so straightforward.

Zhang Mei’s shoulders collapsed, as if she lost her soul. “How is it possible? How could it be…”

Luo Xiaoxi had been after Su for so many years. Hadn’t Su Yicheng always refused her? Whatever had Luo Xiaoxi done?

“She and I will get married,” Su Yicheng said.

Zhang Mei’s shock just now evolved into a feeling no different from receiving a blockbuster.

She shook her head subconsciously and tried to catch Su Yicheng by the hand. “No, you can’t do this…”

“I am here to tell you that I know all the shit you’ve done to her.” Su Yicheng was calm but cold. “Considering Uncle Zhang, I won’t make it open, nor will I punish you. But I will show no mercy if you persecute her anymore!”

“No, you can’t do this!” Zhang Mei suddenly got excited. “Don’t you forget what you promised to my father…”

“Uncle Zhang helped me out in the past, but I’ve repaid my debt.” Su Yicheng broke Zhang’s words. “It was in gratitude for his help that I had promised to him to take care of you, but I may have to retract the promise when it’s become unworthy.”

“…” Zhang Mei knew she could no longer use the relationship between Su Yicheng and her father to her advantage and thus no longer had reason to approach Su Yicheng as she had wanted to.

“Zhang Mei, here’s my advice: Don’t try it on, or you will ruin yourself.”

After that, Su Yicheng got up and left the cafe without hesitation.

The sun was warm that autumn afternoon, but Zhang Mei felt that she was shivering all over.

Their relationship came to an end despite all her insinuation, and she lost to Luo Xiaoxi.

“Why does he love her? Why does he love that ignorant and dissipated chick?”

She just couldn’t let go of him!

Su Yicheng had warned of her crooked ways which would ruin her. However, she had already gone too far and couldn’t turn back…

In contrast, now Su Yicheng was in a completely different mood from Zhang Mei’s.

Su Yicheng had rarely bought things for himself, for having had no time and thought it unnecessary to waste time on these trivial matters.

But today he did the unnecessary thing by walking into the 24/7 convenience shop downstairs.

Luo Xiaoxi didn’t seem particular about her purchase, but actually, she had some petite die-hard habits such as having a partiality for no other than mineral water of a certain brand.

If he was not wrong, there was no mineral water left at home.

“Hello, sir! That’ll be 269 yuan.”

Su Yicheng paid up and carried a carton of the water upstairs, making the security staff in the hall gape incredibly—the man had never gone up without his hands being in pockets.

Su Yicheng put several bottles of water into the fridge first thing and then returned into his room.

Luo Xiaoxi still asleep, he came to the bedside and smoothed away some hair hiding her cheek. Suddenly her eyelashes fluttered and her eyes opened.

Luo always took a snap at noon but she became energetic again. Seeing Su Yicheng had got changed, she asked with confusion, “You went out just now?”

Su Yicheng said, “Yes. It’s half past three, wanna get up?”

“Yes!” Luo Xiaoxi habitually kicked the quilt away, only to shrill “Ah!!!” remembering that she was wearing Su Yicheng’s shirt with shirt-tails rolled in. So, she pulled back the quilt in a hurry.

But that was in vain, Su Yicheng saw it all.

“Don’t laugh!” She became fierce.

Su Yicheng dragged Luo Xiaoxi out of bed. “I have seen it more than once, so needless to cover yourself.” Su Yicheng gave the bag brought by Ada to her. “Put this on if you don’t want me to see it again.”

This time, Luo Xiaoxi seemed very docile—she took the clothes and rushed into the bathroom.
