Young Master Lu’s Lovely New Bride

Chapter 117

Chapter 117 Dream Comes True

Su Jianan was extremely depressed since Lu Boyan didn’t seem like a person who would make a big deal of age, why did he fuss about it with her?

She struggled for a moment and couldn’t make it. She just said with a sad face, “Haven’t you heard of it that men thrive after they turned 40, you are only 30, which means you are just in the early puberty. Let me go…”

Lu Boyan found what she said didn’t make sense at all and felt that his IQ was almost lowered by her, he then let go of her. “Buckle up.”

“Ohh,” Su Jianan did what he said and drank the milk tea but put it aside since it tasted a bit bitter. She then realized that it was coffee. “My bad, I drank yours.”

Lu Boyan did not say anything and sipped his coffee. “Where else do you want to go?”

Su Jianan looked at the time. “No, let’s go home and cook you a big dinner!”

Then she suddenly realized that the coffee Lu Boyan had just drunk was the one she tasted.

He… really didn’t mind?

Su Jianan pursed her lips, and felt so sweet deep down in her heart. She even unconsciously touched the bag on her legs.

She thought the tie she saw at the first glance was perfectly suitable for Lu Boyan. Since she had bought it, how should she give it to him? What if he didn’t like it?

Losing the excitement of shopping, she experienced the embarrassment of the unknown. Su Jianan didn’t get used to the mood swings, so she sighed. “I’m so sleepy, I’m going to take a nap. Wake me up when we are home.”

She then really fell asleep as she said. Her long eyelashes hung down, making her look quiet and innocent.

But sometimes, she was obviously a little demon. If she had not been pressed down yesterday, she might make a huge mess of his hair.

Su Jianan did not seem to wake up when they arrived home. Lu Boyan called her, but she just responded with a mumble and continued to sleep. She then suddenly bounced up after half a minute. “Are we home?” Then, she neatly got off the car, as if she was both blurred and sober.

Uncle Xu and Aunt Liu came out and took out all the bags from the trunk, and told Lu Boyan. “The supermarket just sent the crayfish and the steaks. I don’t know how you and Young Madam want them to be cooked, so I just asked the chef to leave them there.”

“No,” Lu Boyan took a look at Su Jianan and said, “leave it to her.”

Su Jianan was full of energy after a nap, and she was eager to make dinner. Whilst she was dumbfounded after she entered in the kitchen—she was indeed good at cooking steaks, but she had never cooked the crayfish, even though she had eaten them a lot…

A soon as Lu Boyan came to the kitchen, he saw that Su Jianan was biting her finger while looking at the crayfish. He knew that she didn’t know where to start, and said, “The chef can cook the crayfish.”

“No!” Su Jianan was surprisingly stubborn, “I said I want to make a big dinner for you.”

She then took out the phone to browse about how to cook crayfish, and finally selected a simple recipe of spicy crayfish. She copied it down and put it to the wall, and continued to learn about what to do before the cooking.

Though she had found a lot of ways and skills to clean it, she still had no idea about how to do in the face of the alive crayfish. She could just knock out the fish, but she couldn’t do that to the crayfish, right?

Lu Boyan took away her phone. “Let me do it, you go to fry the steak.”

“You…?” Su Jianan looked suspicious. “Can I trust you?”

Lu Boyan pinched her face. “Never question a man if he can do it.”

He took note of the steps and started after he returned the phone to Su Jianan. She stopped him and rolled up his sleeves. She also patted him on the shoulder like he was entrusted with great responsibility. “Okay, go, warrior.”

She then went to handle the side dishes and prepare the salad, and glanced at him with concern from time to time.

Unexpectedly, Lu Boyan was really skillful with the crayfish as if it were not the first time he had dealt with it. He looked so graceful and calm, and the glow of the setting sun shined on his sculpture-like face. Though she was near him, Su Jianan still felt so distant as if it were just one of her dreams.

And she did have such a dream.

After going to college, she slowly learned about love and marriage. She had also listened to many other people’s stories, which were mournful or beautiful. She often imagined that she and Lu Boyan could also live a happy life, like helping each other in the kitchen and cuddling in the living room. She thought that the days were going to like a slow and melodious piano piece and a beautiful song.

However, she knew that she was just fantasizing. She also once thought that it was the only thing she could do.

But now, it turned out to be real. She was really frying the steak in front of the gas stove, and he was helping with the cleaning at the countertop. There was also real sunset outside the French windows, and the summer flowers were blooming in the garden outside.

It was nice.

The sound of crayfish jumping in the water brought Su Jianan to herself. The water splashed on Lu Boyan’s clothes and made some wet stains.

She took another apron and walked over to Lu Boyan. “Turn around.”

She then put the apron on him as soon as he turned around, but Lu Boyan dodged. “No.”

“Then you’ll get wet!” Su Jianan deliberately threatened him.

He slightly frowned and finally lowered his head so that Su Jianan could help him put on the apron. She also tied the waistband and looked at him up and down, but couldn’t help laughing out loud.

“…” Lu Boyan was speechless—he could almost be sure that Su Jianan did it deliberately.

Su Jianan had to admit that she wanted to see Lu Boyan with an apron, but did not expect it to be so hilarious. She pretended to cut a few asparagus, and then quietly turned on the camera on her phone.

How could Lu Boyan fail to sense her tricks? Thus, he threw her a cold glance. She then quickly threw the phone back into the apron’s pocket and went towards the fridge to get butter. “You know, you really fit very well in a home environment.”

Lu Boyan bit his teeth. “Shut up.”

Uncle Xu came to the kitchen to see if they needed any help from the chef, only to see Lu Boyan with the apron.

He was so surprised that he almost dropped his glasses, but he just left quietly—he wondered if there was anything their Young Madam could not do since she could put an apron on Lu Boyan.

The butter melted in the pot, and Su Jianan soon smelled the scent after she put the soused steak in the pot. Su Jianan gradually felt the sense of accomplishment while seeing the steak being cooked bit by bit.

Lu Boyan cleaned up the crayfish and couldn’t help being attracted to Su Jianan when he took off the apron and glanced at her side face.

Though the little demon was usually noisy, she was more serious than anyone else when she was occupied by something. He even didn’t want anyone else to see the look on her right now. He didn’t know if it was because of the weather, but her face turned shallow red, which slowly spread on her white skin and seemed unbelievable beautiful.

She wore a simple round neck blouse, which had easily evoked Lu Boyan’s desire by just showing her beautiful neck and clavicle.

He slightly bobbed his Adam’s apple, and walked over to help Su Jianan put the well-placed steak on the table. She cleaned the pot and set the posture for a challenge. “Here comes the crayfish!”

The solid foundation had given her much confidence even though she didn’t have any such experience before. After reading the recipe, she knew the vegetables and the amount of the ingredients she needed. She assumed that it would not taste too bad.

The sultry smell of the pungency began to float in the kitchen, despite the smoking machine. Lu Boyan frowned, whilst Su Jianan was kind of excited. “It must be delicious.”

She sneezed a lot when the crayfish was almost cooked, while she smelled a strong scent of seafood at the same time. She asked Lu Boyan in excitement. “Have you smelled?”

Lu Boyan ridiculed her. “Now you look like the little monster, who has defeated an Ultraman.”

Su Jianan ignored what he said, switched off the burner and put the crayfish in the plate. She then realized something wrong. “We are going to eat Western food, but crayfish is Chinese food,” she paused for a moment and then said to herself, “whatever, maybe it’s better to have both at the same time.”

Since her hand had not fully recovered, so Lu Boyan took the work of serving the dishes. She followed him to the living room but found no one there.

Because Aunt Liu usually cleaned here and there at a time like this, and she also wanted them to have a taste of the crayfish she made.

Lu Boyan cut the steak into small pieces and exchanged his plate with Su Jianan’s, which immediately caught her attention. Although she already chewed it slowly when she ate it with the fork, Lu Boyan seemed much more graceful than her.

After that, Lu Boyan put on plastic gloves to peel the crayfish. Su Jianan was afraid that the shell would prick her hand, but couldn’t wait to have a taste, thus she pitifully looked at Lu Boyan. “Do you mind peeling them for me?”

Lu Boyan shook the peeled crayfish in his hand. “You want it?”

Su Jianan nodded heavily, but Lu Boyan seemed to want to embarrass her more. So she just grabbed it and took a bit. It was tender and firm, and filled her mouth with the freshness of the seafood at once.

It was much more delicious than those provided in the Western restaurant, and the sauce was no longer needed!

Lu Boyan saw that she was so satisfied with eating, so he peeled two more. She said to him, “Why don’t you eat?”

He just kept peeling. Su Jianan then picked one up and fed him in his mouth to repay him. Before she asked him if it was tasty, Su Yicheng showed up at the door, and looked at her with a meaningful smile.

She blushed and suddenly took back her hand. “Brother.”

Su Yicheng pulled a chair and sat down. “I’m so lucky, it is a perfect time.” Then he looked at Su Jianan again.

Su Jianan was very suspicious about the true meaning of the “perfect time”, and her face turned redder, thus she just quietly ate the crayfish.

Lu Boyan gave Su Yicheng a pair of plastic gloves. “Jianan cooked them, have a taste.”

“Why not?” Su Yicheng took over the gloves and put them on. He skillfully peeled one but did not eat it, and looked at it in his hand. “It feels a bit strange to peel for myself. You know I couldn’t keep up with the speed of my sister’s eating.”

Lu Boyan put the peeled crayfish, which still dripped with grease on the porcelain plate in front of Su Jianan. He then looked at Su Yicheng and smiled slightly. “You don’t have to do that anymore.”

Su Yicheng sighed as if he were hurt, and it seemed that eating was the only thing to heal his wound.

Su Jianan tried to hypnotize herself that she couldn’t hear the conversation between the two men, thus she ate quickly, so that she could blame the crayfish for being too spicy if they asked about her blush.
