Wild Princess: Marrying an Ugly Prince

Chapter 143 - You must know something

Chapter 143 You must know something

Cangsheng stumbled out of control, and Zhao held him out of quick reflection.

“Cangsheng, are you OK?” Bai Aoxue asked in hesitation, noticing that Cangsheng had turned pale.

Cangsheng stood still and thanked Zhao. He took a deep breath, “I’m OK. I am just a little bit dizzy.”

The reluctant smile could not hide his sadness, which caused others to pity him.

Bai Aoxue had some words on the tip of her tongue but she held back. Cangsheng said with a reluctant smile, “Your Highness, I still have issues to deal with ordered by the king, and I got to go. The king requires to see you tomorrow in palace.”

Hearing Cangsheng’s words, Jun Yeyan smiled with something in his mind but he looked very happy, “OK, got it. I will be there on time. Walk eunuch Cangsheng out, Zhaoye.”

Cangsheng nodded to Bai Aoxue, turned and left, with his fists still clenched.

Only Cangsheng himself knew that his skin and flesh had been torn to pieces under his silent endurance.

Bai Aoxue was sure that Cangsheng must know Helian Cangyue, but he wouldn’t say anything. So, if she pushed him, it would put him into much more bitterness. Bai Aoxue decided not to push him.

Let all secrets get hidden deep in heart and rotted away as time went by.

If it was not so, Helian Cangyue, a beautiful elegant mysterious lady, would not have ended up so miserably.

All of this was unknown to others, and Bai Aoxue didn’t want to dig any more.

Once one is dead, it is just like the light is off. No matter how glorious, how many downturns and hardships one has been through, there is only dust left when one is dead.

Nothing can be taken away, and nothing can be left behind.

Helian Cangyue was pure and mysterious. But Bai Aoxue knew that she had so many secrets even she only saw her once.

“Cangsheng…” Bai Aoxue called Cangsheng who was about to step out the door. There was obscure concern in her eyes.

Cangsheng stopped but didn’t turn, only waited to hear what Bai Aoxue would say.

Bai Aoxue stopped for a while, and said slowly to Cangsheng, “If you don’t want to smile, then don’t. There is no one in this mansion at least that could force you to smile, and you don’t have to flatter anyone neither. We are…good friends, aren’t we?”

Cangsheng stopped short for a second when he heard Bai Aoxue’s words, and spoke, with a husky voice instead of the one of high pitch and scrupulous as usual.

“Sometimes…our smile doesn’t mean we want to flatter someone. It is because smile is the only facial expression left to let out our sadness. I don’t want to smile, neither. But, thank you, Aoxue.”

With these words, Cangsheng stepped away quickly, with no turning around. He left determinedly.

At this moment, nobody could understand his feelings which were like he wanted to destroy the world. There seemed to be an imprisoned monster, roaring, wanting to break off the cage and tear the disappointing world into pieces.

Bai Aoxue didn’t say anything, watching Cangsheng leaving. She only hoped that when Cangsheng could be in a better mood someday in the future, and if he wanted to talk to her, she would be a quiet listener.

In many years after that, Bai Aoxue always thought that there may be another result if she had asked Cangsheng about the relationship of Helian Cangyue and him. In that case, could this bright young man have got his fairness?

Alas, there is no “if” in one’s lifetime, nor “maybe”.

Bai Aoxue was a little bit upset but she couldn’t tell why. So she just presumed it was because of Jun Yeyan.

“Ah, are you uncomfortable right now? Let’s go to the secret chamber. You will go to the palace tomorrow, and it will take a long time in the palace.” Bai Aoxue said to Jun Yeyan slowly.

Jun Yeyan choked back his words because Bai Aoxue stopped talking about Cangsheng.

“Right, let’s go after you have your breakfast,” Jun Yeyan nodded and said slowly.

Bai Aoxue didn’t say anything more, looking at the three kids and waving to them, “You three come here. I have something to tell you.”

The three kids obediently walked towards Bai Aoxue, with honest concern in their eyes.

Bai Aoxue smiled, “Don’t worry about me. I am fine.”

“Who hurt you? Please tell us, and we will work hard to practice martial arts to take revenge for you,” Mo Shang the elder brother said on behalf of the three.

Bai Aoxue smiled happily, “There is something I want to tell you, that’s why I asked you to come.”

“From now on, I may be very busy and cannot bring you by my side. According to my observation, all of you have your talent. Mo Shang will follow Zhao and Zhao will coach you for martial arts.” Bai Aoxue pointed Zhao to let Mo Shang know.

Zhao was surprised when he heard that Bai Aoxue wanted him to coach Mo Shang. And in fact, he himself liked the three kids as well.

Zhao looked up at Jun Yeyan, and Jun Yeyan nodded to him lightly. Zhao respectfully replied, “I will not let princess down. I will cultivate Mo Shang well.”

“Mo Shang, do you agree with this arrangement?” Bai Aoxue turned to Mo Shang and asked.

Mo Shang nodded excitedly and looked at Zhao and adored him.

“Mo Li and Mo Qing are both very smart and flexible. Mo Li will go to the casino to be an apprentice under Liushuang. Mo Qing is much younger now, so I need to ask for your own decision. Do you want to go to the casino to learn accounting or stay in the mansion?” Bai Aoxue said slowly, looking at the two kids.

Mo Li apparently liked accounting, and he nodded excitedly, “Don’t worry, princess, I will work hard, and make my contribution to you in the future.”

And the youngest Mo Qing acted like an adult which didn’t fit her age, “I want to be a useful person that can help princess, just like my brothers! I would like to go to the casino.”

Mo Qing’s naïve face showed a determination which was much stronger than kids of her age, only because she had been through so much miseries and hardships so early in her life.

As for the three kids, Bai Aoxue hoped them to grow up and learn to be independent, so as to be able to survive in this society without anyone’s help.

She could not protect them forever. They had to live their lives on their own in the future.

“You are still young now and it’s a good time for you to practice martial arts. Mo Shang follows Zhao, Mo Li follows Liushuang and Mo Qing will follow Hongxiu and Wenxi to learn some personal-defense skills.” The three kids all agreed to Bai Aoxue’s arrangement. Actually, they would agree with Bai Aoxue no matter what arrangement she made.

Since the moment Bai Aoxue brought them to home, they had already made up their minds that no matter how hard life will be, no matter what misery they would encounter with, they would always follow Bai Aoxue.

This was the faith in the kids’ heart, which was the purest and the most determined.

“We, Mo Shang, Mo Li and Mo Qing, appreciate princess for taking care of us. We will be loyal to you with the cost of our lives and never betray.” Said the three kids together who knelt down at the same time.

Through the naïve voice, everyone could tell that their determination and perseverance was capable of shocking everyone.

Bai Aoxue smiled, and there was too much hope in her eyes.

“You need to remember this, everyone should have faith and only faith can lead to success. As long as you insist on the path you choose at first, and never give up, it will pay off in the future. Since you choose the path, you will walk down unswervingly and never turn back.”

The three kids nodded on Bai Aoxue’s words. They could not figure out the deep meaning of Bai Aoxue’s words at present, but after many years, when they all became talents in their professional field, they would get it. Her words gave them the light of hope and led them to success.

“All right, you can go. If you need anything, you can ask the three elder sisters, and from now on, you can address me as princess, or elder sister just like others.” Bai Aoxue scrubbed her eyes, and said wearily.

But Bai Aoxue knew clearly, the title of “elder sister” was saved for Helian Cangyue, and there was a private room in their heart saved for Helian Cangyue. She would never mess up.

The three kids knew exactly the kindness of Bai Aoxue even though they didn’t quite understand her words. They nodded gratefully and paid their respects, and then they were led out by Hongxiu.

Jun Yeyan noticed that Bai Aoxue was a little tired, and he knew that she needed rest after she got hurt, so he said to her with concern, “You can take a nap, and I will be here with you. When the breakfast is ready, I will call you up.”

Bai Aoxue nodded obediently and closed her eyes to have a rest.

The fragrance of sandalwood incense made her calm down, and she soon fell into sleep.

While Jun Yeyan was watching Bai Aoxue’s sleeping beauty, he was satisfied, and his eyes were full of tenderness and ardent love to Bai Aoxue.

When Jun Yeyan was sure that Bai Aoxue had fallen asleep, he walked out of the room and closed the door quietly.

“Master.” When Jun Yeyan came to the garden, a dark figure flashed in front of Jun Yeyan.

“How are the things going on?” Jun Yeyan stood with his hands clasped behind his back, and his black hair was blown about in the breeze.

“Jun Wuhen is working on the sculpture of Zhulan Garden, but he hasn’t got a lead. Nanyue Dynasty has sent out invitation saying that Price Peerless will ascend to the throne in the autumn, and there should be someone from our side to congratulate. Jun Wuhen intends to appoint you and princess to accomplish this task.” The figure in black said scrupulously.

On hearing these words, Jun Yeyan’s eyes shot out cold light, which made the man in black quiver.

“Well…Jun Wuhen is in alarm now. He intends to send me to death so he appoints me!” Jun Yeyan curled his lips and laughed, didn’t give a damn care.

“I will prepare a magnificent present to congratulate Qi Lian’ge on ascending the throne. Ask force in Nanyue to make chaos, as much as possible. I don’t believe there are no more followers of Qi Xiaoling!” Jun Yeyan said angrily, thinking that Qi Lian’ge used to have a crush on Bai Aoxue.

“Got it, prince!” The man in black knelt down with one leg and answered respectfully.

“Master, if you decide to go south, would you need me to start preparing everything?” The man in black asked deliberately.

Jun Yeyan thought for a moment, and said, “Well…the carriage mush be broad with more soft cushions. It is a little cold in autumn, so put the deodorized tiger skin inside the carriage. There will be a long time to spend in the carriage, so make sure that it mustn’t be a bumpy journey.”

The man in black remained silent upon hearing Jun Yeyan’s thoughtful concern for the princess.

“Got it. I will prepare at once!” The man in black answered obediently.

Jun Yeyan waved his hand and the man in black disappeared quietly, just like when he came.

While on the other side, in the dark corner, a man pushed against the wall, with his bloodshot eyes looking into the palace in distance.

“Jun Wuhen, I Want You to Pay Back in Blood!” every word was leaking blood, like a spell that haunted the entire empire’s capital.
