Chapter 310 World's Strike (5)

Sudden weight appeared on Isaac’s hands. When he dropped his gaze, he saw a musket rifle. The musket rifle was in the color of brown with a sharp and thin blade next to the barrel.

“Musket…” Isaac moved the gun around. Examining it thoroughly. There weren’t significant disparities between the current musket rifle and his previous one.

Clank!

He opened the chamber and saw five shells. Isaac lowered his gaze and saw leather pouches still dangling from his hips. Isaac also noticed that his clothes hadn’t changed.

Except, the magazines and gun holsters had disappeared. The leather pouch was packed with bullets.

Clink!

Isaac opened the straps and threw the leather pouch to the ground. He bent down and rummaged through the bag. He grabbed a handful of bullets and pocketed them.

The vest’s pockets were soon full. The pouch was still half-full. However, Isaac tied the laces and threw the bag away.

The pouch went through the invisible wall and landed in the forest. Isaac moved his limbs around and felt much lighter than a moment ago.

The weight of the pouch made his balance somewhat unsteady. Isaac decided to only take a handful of bullets. He doubted that he would need that many bullets.

After all, he also had another weapon at his disposal. The thin blade shone once the sun grazed it.

Crack!

Isaac turned around and saw the first puppet of the fourth and final wave. The puppet was wearing heavy iron armor and a long steel sword.

The puppet’s movements were sharp and fast. The limbs didn’t move randomly, instead were very calculated to increase his speed.

His hand was grabbing the handle of the sword sheathed in a scabbard.

Isaac spun the gun around and touched the ground with his knee. The stock rested on his shoulder, and his left hand held the gun from beneath.

The right hand’s index finger was grazing the trigger.

Bang!

The bullet left the barrel explosively. With a long trail of smoke, the shell flew across the air and landed on the puppet’s head.

The puppet wobbled forward before falling head first on the musky ground.

“Whew.” Isaac removed his finger from the trigger and stood up.

[You Killed Stage 4 Puppet!]

[STAGE 4 BEGINS!]

[Stage 4 – Marksman]

From the forest, puppets emerged. They all had similarities with the first puppet, iron swords, and heavy armory.

However, there were few puppets without armory, but bows and quiver’s attached to their backs.

CRACK!

One of the hills cracked apart. It was the hill where the sword had landed previously!

From the cracks of the hill, a hand slowly emerged before the whole hill was blasted into fragments!

Easily the tallest puppet appeared. He had full iron armor with a long steel sword and shield. His head was covered by a helmet.

At first glance, it would seem like he didn’t have any weaknesses!

“What… The… Hell?” Isaac’s eyebrows jumped. The earth shook after the Knight took his first steps.

The Puppets left the forest with their iron armors rattling with each movement.

Rattle!

Rattle!

Rattle!

Isaac’s gaze was shifted from the Knight to the wave of puppets. He removed his finger from the trigger. He grinned out of nowhere, and his face had an ethereal-like glow.

His white hair fluttered behind him as he leaped across the air!

The Puppets slowed their pace. They were rather surprised at the white-haired youth’s choice. It seemed plainly obvious that a Marksman should fight the long-ranged battle. However, the white-haired youth was coming straight toward them!

Isaac landed right in the middle of the crowd of puppets. They all unsheathed their swords and slashed!

Seeing the blades approaching him, Isaac’s face had no reaction. His face was calm and confident. He altered the grasp on his gun and swung it around!

The thin blade shredded through the puppet’s throats. Over a dozen heads were detached from necks.

Isaac stood in the middle of the dead puppets. However, he couldn’t relax as more puppets emerged from the forest.

All of them had a sole goal, kill the white-haired youth!

Behind the puppets, three puppets pulled an arrow from their quivers. Once placed on the bowstring, they removed their hands and watched as the arrows flew across the air.

Isaac stepped to the side. Three arrows brushed past his face and landed on the ground.

He bent down. His legs trembled as he jumped!

The Puppets raised their heads and saw a blur of white going past them.

Isaac landed next to the Archers. The grip on his gun changed, and the thin blade shone as another three heads were severed.

The Archers died.

Behind him, a puppet raised his sword over his head and swung it down!

Isaac raised his right leg and smashed it behind him. His foot was contacted with a solid chest plate. The puppet that got kicked wobbled back with a footprint on the chest.

“Haah!” He jumped over the puppets. While doing so, he slashed and killed another dozen puppets.

Once his foot touched the ground, his body froze. Isaac felt like he’d taken a quick dip in an ice-cold bath.

Crack!

From the broken forest, the Knight emerged. Without Isaac realizing it, he had already killed every puppet except the biggest one.

Isaac turned around and squeezed the trigger!

Bang!

The Knight moved the shield in front.

Clank!

The bullet ricocheted away after grazing the iron shield.

“Damn… This ain’t good.” Isaac had to admit. The Knight’s strength was way above his. The feeling alone he emitted was forcing him to bend down.

“F*ck…” He retreated for now. The Knight was still moving forth. The iron armor rattled and clanged.

Clank!

With his thumb, he opened the chamber and took a quick look inside. Four bullets remained.

“Four…” When he looked at the Knight. There were no weak spots, and his bullets weren’t strong enough to penetrate the armor. The four bullets seemed useless.

“Think… Think…” When Isaac closed his eyes. He heard the sound of metal shoes landing on the ground. The sound of armor rattling. The wind brushing past him.

His eyes fluttered open. The blazing sun made him squint his eyes. Then, he noticed something that he had missed.

He noticed two radiant, glowing eyes gazing at him. The helmet covered every spot of the Knight’s head, except the eyes!

The eyeholes were narrowly big enough to fit a small object through…

“Is my precision good enough…” Isaac bit his lip. He doesn’t know what level his precision was. The stats didn’t show.

Then, memories of the hunting trip surfaced in his mind. He used his own skill, not some external ways of improving his aim.

‘Why am I hesitating?’ His trembling arms slowly lifted the gun. The barrel aiming straight at the helmet.

The Knight began moving his shield in the way. Everything became slow.

Isaac’s eyes slowly closed and opened. The strands of hair moved slowly.

His index finger closed on the trigger. Soon, the trigger started moving back.

BANG!

The Knight’s radiant red eyes shook. He witnessed as the bullet flew straight toward his face. He tried to move his head around. Then, he noticed that he won’t make it in time!

SPURT!

The Knight wobbled to the side. A hole appeared in his eye, and the back of his skull had a similar-sized hole.

He swayed from side to side before falling down to the ground. The last remaining glowing eye dimmed down.
