Chapter 247 - welcome To The World of Legacies.

Inside the room with thousands of screens.

The workers looked nervous, with tiny beads of sweatdrops dropping down from their faces and staining their work clothes.

Their finger was robotically tapping the keyboard.

They were doing last bug checks and ensuring that everything was running smoothly inside the game while the downtime was happening.

Arthur was standing in the middle of the room with eyebags underneath his eyes.

His hair was once again messy with a dirty face.

In the past few days, he had put a lot of effort into making sure that everything was perfect.

He had been preparing for this for decades, and he knew that everything would run smoothly, but he couldn't still keep that confident demeanor and had to skip the sleeping time and focus on checking every little thing, frame by frame, code by code.

The doors slid open, and a beautiful middle-aged woman appeared with a group of angry-looking middle-aged men.

''You bastard!'' One of them shouted towards Arthur and rudely walked past Emilia with his shoulder bumping her out of the way.

Emilia stumbled to the side and almost fell down on her buttocks but remained standing.

She wiped her sweat and, with displeasure, looked towards the Board of Directors.

''If you fuck this up, I will swear that I will destroy you!'' A member of the Board of Directors shouted.

Emilia opened her mouth, planning to calm the situation, but her worst fears came true; Arthur managed to open his mouth first.

''I know everything about the World of White,'' Arthur said, and the workers, who had been working an only moment ago, stopped and looked at their majestic boss.

''I know the things World of White has, which even Gods aren't aware of.''

''So what?!'' The angry-looking member of the Board of Directors shouted, ''If you fuck up, we will lose everything we have worked for!''

''Worked for?'' Arthur raised an eyebrow and started laughing, ''Hahahaha!''

The angry-looking middle-aged man started fuming in anger.

''You useless fuckers haven't done anything.'' Arthur chuckled and shook his head.

''It was me who built the Legacy Company from scratch, and it was me who built the VR Helmets.''

He turned around to look at the Board of Directors like they were a pack of clowns.

''Also… It was me who managed to connect the VR Helmets with World of White.''

He paused for a moment before continuing, ''Of course, with the help of Gaia, but you guys… What have you guys done?''

The angry-looking man pointed at him with shaky fingers, ''D-Don't forget who was the one who paid for your crazy ideas! It was us; without us, you would be a homeless loser!''

''Shut the fuck up,'' Arthur said with such coldness in his words that it froze the angry-looking man from head to toe.

He couldn't move a muscle like he was in front of a God!

''Today world will change.'' Arthur widened his arms wide open, ''Enjoy the show!''

He turned back to look at the thousands of screens, which showed World of White and the countdown that reached the 2-minute mark!

The members of the Board of Directors gritted their teeth and left the room while whispering with each other.

They already hated Arthur because he wasn't afraid of telling what he was thinking.

Everyone else has to bow before them, but not Arthur.

In front of Arthur, they can't do anything.

''Sigh… You went overboard.'' Emilia appeared next to Arthur and said with a wry smile.

''I have been preparing for this day for decades…'' Arthur clenched his fist and confidently said, ''Nothing will go wrong… Waiting for another month would be useless because I have been ready for five years…''

Emilia nodded with a smile, ''I know. You are greatest after all.''

''Greatest…'' Arthur shook his head and didn't think so.

Only 1 minute remained in the clock.

Arthur looked at the thousands of screens and asked, ''Gaia, is everything working?''

Suddenly, the screen started showing an illusionary face.

The illusionary face had beautiful blue hair, a beautiful face with gentle eyes, and a pointy nose.

She looked absolutely lovely, and some of the workers felt lovestruck.

Emilia bit her lip and felt self-conscious after seeing the illusionary face's otherworldly look.

She looked at her own beautiful face from the reflection of the window, and it didn't look as beautiful as it did before.

That was the effect the illusionary figure's face had.

Arthur, on the other hand, looked calm as before.

''Yes.'' The illusionary face said with a melodious voice, ''Good job, Arthur, I knew I could count on you.''

''Thank you.'' Arthur bowed and put his palm on his chest.

The illusionary face smiled, which caused every individual in the room to start breathing faster.

Soon, the illusionary face disappeared from the screen, and everyone in the room took a deep breath.

Arthur closed his eyes and thought, 'It's time.'

Inside Whitelock's Mansion.

Isaac had his phone in his hand while the countdown was ticking down.

''30 seconds…'' Isaac grabbed his VR Helmet from the black box and lied down on the bed.

The phone that was still in his hand showed the countdown.

Isaac put the headgear around his head and tapped the button.

Soon, the blue skinsuit surrounded his body from neck to toe.

Instead, Isaac didn't enter the game yet and waited for the countdown to reach zero.

''Whew…'' Isaac calmed down his heartbeat with a long breath.

Isaac calmed down his muscles and relaxed his body.

The visor was still showing [Offline]

Closer to the countdown reaching zero, the Offline color started changing from black to gray before getting close to the shade of white.

[Offline -> Online!]

*Beep* *Beep*

The visor started beeping, and Isaac knew that it was time to return to the World of White.

''Let's do this.'' Isaac closed his phone and said, ''Enter!''
