Chapter 166 - Two Is One. One Is Two.

[Tyrant: Hmm, this place seems suspicious. Maybe it's those trap rooms that kill the Players instantly?]

[Divinity (Mod): No, that's basically murder if NPC commits it. There is no way such shady place is right in the center of Stronglord]

[LawCat: Maybe he has to find a way out of the room without seeing what is inside the room?]

Isaac took a glimpse of the chat and started pondering about the possibilities.

But soon, in the ceiling of the room. A lightbulb started flickering, causing short moments when the dark room wasn't so dark anymore.

Isaac quickly looked around the room while the light was still on and widened his eyes in shock.

His viewers also noticed it, and it wasn't what they expected.

The light once again disappeared before turning back on, and this time, the light didn't go out.

In the room, there was a simple wooden desk with a man sitting right in front of it. He had a monocle in his right eye with a tophat. He looked like a proper gentleman with his black suit, necktie, and a black trenchcoat.

On the other side of the desk, there were two chairs.

Isaac turned his head to the left side of the room and saw another Player standing right in front of the other door.

The room was simple with four corners, ordinary white walls, the lightbulb hanging from the ceiling, and the wooden desk with three different chairs.

Isaac and the other Player locked gazes before turning their heads in unison towards the unknown man.

Both of them looked above the head, where a floating nametag was.

[Lucius]

''Welcome, contenders,'' Lucius said with his professional and calm voice. He took off his tophat and did a polite bow before putting it back on its previous spot.

''Sit down.'' He said and pointed at the chairs; also, at the same motion, he grabbed something below the desk.

[Ormond]

Isaac and the other player, called Ormond, sat down on the chairs; they kept a distance between themselves because they were aware that only one could win.

Lucius revealed the item he had grabbed. It was a stack of white-colored cards with something written behind, but Lucius quickly hid whatever they were saying, and with gentle motion, he put the card deck down to the desk.

*Tap*

He started tapping the wooden desk and moved his head back and forth, looking at both Isaac and Ormond before gently clapping his hands.

*Clap*

''Alright.'' He stopped clapping and touched the top of the card deck, ''This is the first test. Two is one, and one is two. Assist or solo, decide, both choices can lead to victory.''

Ormond frowned and wondered what it meant.

Isaac, on the other hand, widened his eyes in shock.

[Divinity (Mod): He repeated the same words as the sign said! It must be a clue!]

[Tornado: Does Wraith know?]

[Tyrant: Yup, he got this. He has always been smarter than his peers. This will be a piece of cake]

Lucius smiled and took the first card from the desk. He put the card right in front of his eyes without letting the camera or anyone else see it.

''First Question.'' Lucius said calmly, and once he saw that Isaac and Ormond were listening, he continued, ''How do you log out of the game if you aren't allowed to open your Interface, wait till your time limit is over, or have anyone help you?''

Ormond went into a thinking posture and started repeating those words over and over.

Isaac, on the other hand... Replied, ''By suicide.''

''Ding, ding.'' Lucius threw the card away to the garbage can and smiled with approval, ''Correct!''

''Damn...'' Ormond slapped his thigh and felt dumb.

[Divinity (Mod): Easyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!]

[Tyrant: Easy dub]

[Porvelio: Nice]

[Tornado: Booom!]

Isaac smiled slightly and waited for Lucius to continue asking questions.

Lucius grabbed the second card and started reading the question aloud, ''Second Question. Sky, ocean, or land. Which one of those three is impossible to visit in Stronglord Empire?''

''Sky!'' Ormond instantly replied with a confident expression.

''Ocean!'' Isaac shouted with a similar confident expression.

Ormond snorted and was sure that he was wrong; even Isaac's viewers weren't so sure about the answer.

Lucius smiled and threw the card away, which perfectly landed on the garbage can.

''Ocean is the correct answer.''

''What?!'' Ormond exclaimed and stood up with anger, ''How the hell sky isn't correct?!''

Isaac smiled and crossed his arms, 'Thanks, Tristan.' He remembered Tristan saying that Stronglord Empire doesn't have oceans.

Some of the larger Empire has one.

Ormond mistook the ocean as the sea, which was a mistake on his part.

[Divinity (Mod): Whew, nice one, I have no idea how you knew]

[Tyrant: Even I didn't know about that, and I have read books about Stronglord Empire]

''Third Question.'' Lucius grabbed the third card and smiled after seeing Ormond fuming, very desperate to get the next one correct, while Isaac was calm as ever.

''Two is one, and one is two. Assist or solo, decide, both choices can lead to victory, the answer lies near dust.''

Ormond rubbed his forehead and anxiously tapped the desk with his mind running.

Isaac crossed his arms and leaned on the chair, ignoring the chat, who was definitely trying to guess.

[LawCat: Two is one... Is this a trick question, and it's actually a math question? Maybe the answer is three?]

[Lynch: There is also one is two. Maybe it's 3+3, and it's 6? Or maybe 2+1, which is 3 and then 1-2, which makes the score 0]

[Divinity (Mod): What about Assist or solo, decide, both choices can lead to a victory?]

[Tyrant: Maybe a trap and it actually doesn't mean anything, or maybe both 3 and 0 is correct because it says that both choices can lead to a victory]

[Divinity (Mod): Assist or solo... Maybe Wraith and Ormond can work together or play solo and try to eliminate the other contestant?]

[Tornado: The answer lies near dust, what does that mean?]

Lucius leaned on the chair and waited patiently with a small smile painted on his attractive face.

He moved his feet back and forth with rhythmic motion while a song was playing on his mind.
