Voyage With The Pirate King

Chapter 76 - Did You Miss Me?

She was tapping the armrest with her finger as she stared coldly at Prince Rui who was struggling to get up. As soon as the prince raised his head and saw those beautiful feet with nails painted scarlet he couldn't help but gulp.

From those lovely ankles alone he knew who it was but he hadn't seen her for more than a decade. He laughed evilly as he rose to a half-sitting position with his eyes boring into those legs.

Lord knows how much he wanted this woman but couldn't have her. This is one of the major reasons he hated Ji Wen so much. What was so special about him that caught Qilin Hao's attention? Was it the ships and the whole king of the sea bit that made such a stunner fall in love with him?

If so then he couldn't wait to take over his father's throne and silently watch as she falls into his embrace. While he was hallucinating staring rudely at her legs, Prince Rui was suddenly whipped by Qilin Luse who had enough of the disrespect.

His true face had been lifted out of the veil and he had no intention of hiding his true colours. The prince grimaced in pain as he glowered at Qilin Luse. Who knew that this piece of trash had been holding back this entire time.

For a moment he actually had an illusion that Qilin Luse was his guard dog but how could such a powerful figure bow to him easily. He was just a babysitter sanctioned by Qilin Hao.

Qilin Hao got up from her throne and walked over to Prince Rui with a beautiful smile that wasn't exactly a smile. Her eyes were as dark as a moonless night expressing her anger.

It took so much calming incense to have her cool down her wrath when she heard what Prince Rui was up to. It seemed she had loosened her hand on the leash giving too much freedom to this dog.

This is why this pug had lost its way and went off-script biting the hand that feeds him. Qilin Hao kicked Prince Rui in the stomach six times as she uttered something with each kick. "What. Gave. You. The. Fuckin. Right!"

She didn't use any of her seraphic energy but she was still a Qilin after all and coupled with the latrion blocking Prince Rui's aetherial veins it hurt so much that he bled from his mouth.

Qilin Hao fixed her hair and restored her ladylike appearance. She flung her sleeve and strode back to her throne as a storm began brewing inside her aether once more. She was angry but had to force herself to calm down.

Prince Rui got up on his feet with his hand on his abdomen as he wiped away the blood at the corner of his mouth. He looked like a vengeful spirit that had returned to exact revenge on the people who killed him. With that scar on that handsome face, he looked rather intimidating.

"You had one job but you can't even do that and go after my son... do you have some kind of death wish because I won't hesitate to grant it," she said with her long nails digging into her palm.

Prince Rui snorted coldly before saying, "He stormed my palace and stole my kids. I also asked him nicely to hand over my son but he went on to refuse my offer so now tell me..... should I have just let him go without teaching him a lesson."

Qilin Hao chuckled as she rubbed her forehead with her hand trembling from anger. "A lesson! A fuckin lesson! Do you think I am stupid? Don't forget who made you who you are you bloody bastard!"

As she said this her sword unsheathed itself and stopped right at Prince Rui's heart. "I never stopped you from doing all those filthy things to the women of Nocru neither did I stop you from eating your own cubs because that's your business. But because Ji Yao is my business I won't hesitate to end you. This is a mutual agreement with mutual benefits. Each of us takes what we need and move on so don't step on my toes because you are overestimating your worth to me... Do you understand?"

Prince Rui gulped as he looked down at the sword drawing closer as she spoke. Just as it touched his robe, he looked up and nodded his head in agreement. But that was all a facade. He was afraid of Qilin Hao as he had personally witnessed what this woman was capable of but he also saw that something was seriously wrong with her.

All he had to do was play along and attain all the keystones and once he gets the power of Niuq he would force her to stay by his side and no one would be able to stop him. As the new emperor, he would need a strong empress by his side and Qilin Hao was the perfect candidate.

Perfect candidate my ass. What he didn't realise was that this was just a play at his ego. The only thing Prince Rui would get after opening the portal was an ass whopping by you know who. He would be so lucky if he walks away with his life intact. But of course, he didn't know that. He had been seduced by the desire for power that would, unfortunately, be his downfall.

After dealing with Prince Rui, Qilin Hao was in desperate need of someone's touch. Now that she had Ji Wen in her possession she didn't have to worry about them going after the keystones and subject themselves to danger. She needed that portal open to save her life but she would rather die if it put these two in danger.

In quiet footsteps, she walked over to the bed and pulled open the lace curtain blowing with the cool breeze. The smile on her face grew when she saw the love of her life sleeping peacefully. Without a second thought, she pulled up her dress and straddled the sleeping Ji Wen with a twinkle in her eye.

She stroked his curls and spoke sweetly into his ear, "Did you miss me?" She knew he was sleeping but that didn't stop her from asking. She placed her head on his chest and closed her eyes listening to his heartbeat.. A radiant smile quirked her face as her tears began to flow from the corner of her eyes expressing both her sorrow and joy.
