Chapter 388 - Mother And Son's Major Show Down

Chapter 388 – Mother And Son’s Major Show Down

A cloud of dust rose covering the half crescent moon hanging in the sky. By this time the entire island was awake trying their very best not to stumble upon the line of fire.

Death was almost certain because these two didn't restrain themselves. At first Qilin Hao had been light handed with her strikes considering their mother and son relationship. But who would have thought the brat would treat this as a fight to the death battle. The amount of killing intent surrounding him gave Qilin Hao a wake up call.

She swung her sword as she hovered mid air and with a crackling sound the blade extended as it slithered like a snake with vicious flames dancing on its entire length. The sword whip was considerably longer than Ji Yao's but the strength contained in it wasn't much different from her son's.

With her body surrounded by a bright red aura her hair cascading against gravity, she said, "Ah-Yao, don't take things too far…. do you…"

Before she could even finish her sentence Ji Yao swung his sword and as it extended a ferocious flame mixed in with sizzling sparks spread to the tip and it accurately struck at Qilin Hao. She immediately blocked it with her whip sword clashing with her son's.

The force from the collision backlashed causing a massive explosion that wrecked everything in its path. Even Ji Wen's study wasn't spared. You would think such a force would deter Ji Yao but this was just the beginning. He quickly steadied his body from the force before propelling forward at high speed.

Without a second thought, he began to crack that whip ceaselessly placing Qilin Hao on the defensive. Strike after strike she blocked Ji Yao's relentless attacks. The kid was like a demon child with no hold on his emotions.

Qilin Hao could tolerate this pace that is until Ji Yao engaged his raiju bloodline at full force making lightning rain in the sky. Qilin Hao now had two problems. She not only had to block Ji Yao's constant assault but also dodged the lightning sparks raining down from the sky.

Because of this, she was momentarily distracted. Ji Yao smirked when he saw this and immediately took advantage of the situation. Seeing an opening he lashed his whip sword and the tip of the blade landed squarely on her face cutting her cheek.

If Qilin Hao wasn't pissed off then she was most definitely pissed off now. Her eyes widened as she took a step back and touched her cheek. When she saw that her fingertips were stained with blood she yelled, "Ji Yao! Do you have a death wish? The fuck…"

Ji Yao glared at her like he had nothing to lose as his chest heaved deeply. He clutched the hilt of his sword tightly and tilted his head to the side cracking his neck without a word. Looking at him now he would be mistaken for a fiend sent to eliminate evil.

Each of his eyes reflected a different colour like he had heterochromia but that wasn't it. It was just that the two kinds of seraphic energy flowing within him were fighting for control and could only settle for a balance.

This kind of state flooded with anger and intense resentment had never been seen on Ji Yao's face. His jet black hair was flowing like a gentle stream with loose strands flattering with the movement of his seraphic energy. His cold indifferent eyes became more stern with a defined shape sporting crimson and blue irises.

Contrary to the raging storm surrounding him he had a calm expression on his face like him fighting with his mother was of little significance. Streams of blue and crimson aura restlessly spiralled around him as though on the verge of exploding. All around him were innumerable lightning sparks adding a magnificent touch to this scene.

Qilin Hao had long known that her son had this kind of ability but she hadn't seen it at its peak in person. Now that she had seen it she was momentarily stunned. She wanted to take the time and admire this sight but she didn't get the chance. Since Ji Yao was serious about this fight then she wouldn't hold back.

"Since you have naturally chosen this path, I won't go easy on you," she said as the blazing flame on the whip grew even more ferocious burning like lava. Hell had been raised and it was time Ji Yao bore its fury.

"I never wanted you to go easy on me in the first place," said Ji Yao before the aura circulating around him spiralled upwards striking the sky. A second later the lightning sparks raining down were infused with flames as they ruthlessly struck at Qilin Hao.

Qilin Hao's brows knitted into a scowl as her heartbeat quickened. Who would have thought an overly emotional Ji Yao would actually be her opponent. With her blood rushing in excitement she spun around with her strands and robe swaying with her movements. She began to strike the flaming lightning sparks dispersing them.

Her whip sword struck two or three of the fierce sparks at the same time while her hands and feet would take care of the others as she moved with skilled martial art motions.

Seeing the number of his flaming lightning sparks diminishing he gyrated his body with one leg bent at the knee. The whip sword in his hand spun along with his body attracting the ferocious giant sparks towards him. The flaming sparks gathered along the length of the blade.

And with a powerful vicious strike, a sharp piercing sound ripped through the air followed by a hyper explosive wave spreading across the island uprooting everything in its path.

If one looked closely in the cloud of dust they could see a few figures rooting their feet on the ground so they don't get blown away by the powerful force like they were trying to withstand the full might of an avalanche.. Surprisingly the person who was being targeted remained steadfast as she fought back.
