Chapter 220 - Feeding Medicine Mouth To Mouth

After much difficulty, he slowly opened his eyes but because of the thick dust, he couldn't see anything. He closed his eyes once more before gathering the strength to get up. The first thing he did was try to raise his head but he found he couldn't move. Sighing in frustration he relaxed his head on the ground and tried to move his finger.

His finger did move but his entire body was being crushed by a hip of boulders and rocks. If this was any other day he wouldn't have a problem removing the rocks. He would have turned these minor things to dust and freed himself but today things were different.

He had little to no strength to lift his head let alone engage his aether. Feeling ill at ease he tried to calm his mind and fix his thoughts on his beloved who had abandoned him. He couldn't understand what part of 'don't you ever leave me' didn't Ji Yao understand. Was it the 'don't' or 'leave' part that didn't make sense?

While he was having this confusing line of thought in his head, he heard the sounds of rocks crumbling followed by scratching sounds like something was digging its way out of the rubble.

'Damn it,' he thought realising that the creature could still move. A little panicked he tried to engage his aether several times but like a battery running out of power, he couldn't gather enough of his seraphic energy.

The sound of rubble being moved was suddenly amplified as the creature fully got up. It started digging around searching within the debris for Rui Fei and the longer it searched the angrier it got. It wanted to squish that bug under its tarsus, rip the cub's aether and consume it while he watched.

That was the only thing that could quench its anger. The sounds of rocks and stones being tossed around angrily got closer and closer to where Rui Fei was. He needed to come up with a plan soon otherwise he would die here.

He couldn't imagine Ji Yao's reaction when he finds out he jumped off Lan Wu's ship and went after him only to die here. This thought scared him more than dying. He was afraid Ji Yao would blame himself for this.

He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before exhaling. He couldn't let his love go through so much pain. This meant he would do anything to get out of here regardless of the consequences.

Focusing on his aether he activated his seraphic energy trying to avoid the scorched veins damaged by the flames. For a moment it seemed like it was working but because he was weak he couldn't conceal his seraphic energy like before. This meant his location could also be sensed by the creature.

When it sensed him it rushed over like a demon crawling out of hell. Its tarsus slipped on the rocks as it rushed over but it didn't care. It had been beaten down by this brat which hadn't happened to it in years. This meant it was out for blood.

Before Rui Fei could gather enough seraphic energy to defend himself the creature dug him out and strangled his neck with its stinger as it screeched in delight. Not willing to delay this feast any longer lest there are unexpected interruptions it drew Rui Fei closer to its open wide mouth intending to bite his head off.

Too bad it couldn't enjoy this delicious treat because this person was very important to a certain someone and he wouldn't let Rui Fei become a tasty snack for this creature. If anyone was going to eat Rui Fei, it could only be him. A different kind of eat of course.

Its mouth that was wide open and ready to take a bite was suddenly struck by a blazing ball of fire searing its fangs.

The Yinying creature immediately let go of Rui Fei and the youth came crushing down to the ground. The creature roared at Ji Yao almost spitting its acid-like saliva but all that fierceness was reduced to a mere tantrum when it was suddenly bombarded with sudden attacks from all sides.

Knowing when to retreat and regroup it climbed out of the pit dodging the attacks directed at it and vanished into the darkness.

Seeing the creature cut a sorry figure like this the crew was suddenly brazen. They wanted to follow after it and take advantage of the situation but Ji Yao commanded, "Let it go!" as he knelt in front of Rui Fei.

The boy's face looked ashen with his eyes closed like he was passed out. Ji Yao hovered his fingers above Rui Fei's nose to check if he was still breathing. Feeling that warm breath at the tip of his fingers Ji Yao was relieved.

He reached into his storage ring looking for some healing elixir to help Rui Fei recover quickly. As soon as he found it he lay Rui Fei's head on his lap and opened the bottle with his teeth which was very OOC by the way and gently pulled down Rui Fei's chin to open his mouth.

Rui Fei who at this point was so embarrassed when he saw Ji Yao that he pretended to faint was finding it very hard to keep up with this act any longer. He didn't know if people who faint can drink by themselves so he decided to play it safe and not swallow the liquid. Yes, it would heal him but he didn't want Ji Yao to find out that he was faking it.

Since he had already started it he might as well see it through. As expected the elixir just poured right out of the corner of Rui Fei's mouth. Ji Yao who couldn't stand to see Rui Fei in this state had to think of something very fast.

Without any consideration for the onlookers, he took a large sip into his mouth and then leaned down his intentions fairly obvious. Rui Fei didn't know what Ji Yao was doing up until his lips were forcibly opened and a warm liquid came pouring into his mouth before being forced down his throat.

Rui Fei, 'QAQ'

If he was in the modern era he would have gone on one of those relationship advice forums and typed:

Urgent! Pretended to faint, hubby feeding me medicine mouth to mouth, how do I resist the urge to kiss him and not get found out.

(Crying face) waiting online.
