Chapter 135 - Benefits Of Pretending To Be Ill

Rui Fei the expert at playing pity party was on a row manipulating Ji Yao with a sickly look that you did think he was a patient in the intensive care unit. It was because of those teary puppy dog eyes that Ji Yao ordered everyone to camp in a few kilometres. The sun was already setting into the horizon so his request wasn't unreasonable. The only issue was that the concord members could easily acclimatise to the darkness and keep going with ease. The big boss was simply doing it for his lover that's all. Of course, such thoughts were only in mind and never spoken.

An hour later large white tents with gold patterns were erected and Ji Yao set Rui Fei on a cosy bed. He was genuinely worried because Rui Fei had taken his medicine but still, his face was sickly pale making Ji Yao distressed for him. Don't ask how Rui Fei managed to maintain a pitiful appearance despite having taken the medication.

Ji Yao was especially attentive with Rui Fei's meals like he was afraid a small mistake can make his health spiral down a steep slope.

He personally attended to him feeding him bok choy herbal soup which Rui Fei hated so much mostly because there wasn't any meat. It was like eating an invalid's meal when you weren't one..

But because he had to maintain this illness for a while longer he accepted that he had to be a bunny for the time being. He had coerced Ji Yao to feed him which made it all worth it. Rui Fei obediently finished the rabbit food served to him and sought out more benefits from Ji Yao.

He complained that his stomach was churning and requested a tummy rub from Ji Yao which he got with little effort. Ji Yao placed the bowl aside preparing himself mentally. Now that he knew this brat liked him he could see through some of his actions. He knew he wasn't faking the illness but he was beginning to question the severity of the pain.

But since Rui Fei's requests were reasonable he didn't refuse him. He gently placed his hand on Rui Fei's belly over the quilt and gently started rubbing his belly back and forth with care. The action was especially tender making Rui Fei feel contented.

Soothed by the warm hand on his stomach and that sweet scent that always managed to calm him down a wave of sleep swept over him and he started to drift off. If he could spend the rest of his life like this with Ji Yao he would be the happiest man alive.

Ji Yao watched him slowly drift off to sleep and pursed his lips not sure whether to ask the question he wanted to ask before. Maybe Rui Fei would answer truthfully when he is relaxed. He continued rubbing over the quilt and asked, "What else did I do that night?"

Rui Fei who had partially drifted off to sleep was suddenly awake though his eyes were still half-lidded. He knew what night Ji Yao was talking about but he still asked, "What night?" in a lazy hoarse tone that could easily be mistaken for a bedroom voice.

Ji Yao bit his lower lip and leaned in closer before saying, "The night you gave me the jade tile."

"Mn.....," replied Rui Fei pausing in between to come up with the perfect wording, "I will tell you if you lie down beside me." When he said this there wasn't even a change in his expression like what he said was the most natural thing. His level of shamelessness had upgraded to a level beyond human understanding.

Ji Yao took his hand off Rui Fei's tummy and stood up to leave but Rui Fei's reflexes were simply too fast. He grabbed Ji Yao's wrist and pulled him back with a face that didn't match the amount of strength exerted.

He didn't say anything simply nuzzling into the pillow with an expression that made it hard for one to refuse. Ji Yao was thoroughly defeated as he sat on the bed, took off his brocade boots then slipped into the bed.

The bed was from his storage space meant for one person but now two teens of beyond average height were squeezing into it. Rui Fei made space for him lying on his side with his back to Ji Yao. Ji Yao was about to place his hands under his head to cushion it when Rui Fei's hand came over to his side feeling around for something.

When he found Ji Yao's hand he pulled it over his body and placed it in its rightful place which was on his tummy. Ji Yao's breath was caught in his throat with his heart quickening that he forgot to rub the man's belly for a while.

Rui Fei had to place his hand over Ji Yao's and guide his motion as though showing how to perform the perfect belly rub. Ji Yao's hand stiffened for a moment as a wave of goosebumps spread all over his body. He felt an electric spark striking his nerves especially the ones in his arm.

Rui Fei seemed to notice his discomfort so he let go pressing his lips together to suppress a smile. The strategy from Stormy Love was accurate and highly effective. He had a subtle feeling that it wouldn't take long for Ji Yao to fall into his arms and be his boyfriend.

Ji Yao silently breathed out a sigh of relief and continued to rub his belly. But unlike before he was more self-conscious and his rubbing motion was a little stiff. "Are you going to tell me?" he asked after a moment of hesitation.

Rui Fei replied, "Mn.... you asked me to bite you again," with his eyes staring at the tent that was slightly moving with the cold breeze outside.

Ji Yao's hand paused as a blush crept up his face. He was left with little to no face. He was so ordinarily reserved but it turns out after drinking he was a different person. How could he ask Rui Fei to bite him again?
