Voyage With The Pirate King

Chapter 106 - Coupling

He tried to explain the situation in the shortest time possible before Ji Yao bared his fangs. Ji Yao's face changed colours like a chameleon hearing the story. It was a bizarre story that anyone would find it hard to believe. But who in this world could have such a deep grudge that he would lock up this Nocru in this shitty place for this long?

He was happy that Rui Fei had found his mother's family. Ji Yao always sympathized with Rui Fei because despite them both not having mothers he (Ji Yao) at least had a loving father but Rui Fei didn't even have that. Now that he had an uncle who despite looking and seeming crazy at least he didn't look like he wanted to harm Rui Fei.

"Oh,... then you are welcome on board my ship. I am certain my father wouldn't mind," he said the hostility on his face all but gone.

Huishe Yue knew this was the Qilin's way of extending a hand to the enemy but he just gazed at him suspiciously before asking, "Your father, is he Qilin?" He didn't want to travel with one Qilin what more two of them? To make matters worse that Qilin might be a pureblood Nocru which meant they would probably tear both the ship and each other apart.

An even worse scenario would be if that Qilin was the one who locked him in here. He wouldn't be able to stop himself from killing that Qilin if he ever saw him.

"No, he is a half-blood Raiju and he is not around," explained Ji Yao with his gaze lingering on that necklace in Huishe Yue's hand.

Huishe Yue looked down at his hand before throwing the necklace to Ji Yao. "Just help me get out of here first," he said pointing at the talismans on the wall.

Those were the real chains holding him down. "You might know how to deal with these since it was your ancestor who did this to me," he said in a sarcastic tone earning him a fierce look from Rui Fei. Great, now he had offended his new nephew.

Ji Yao stared at Rui Fei's face as he gave his uncle a threatening look. He was like a cute puppy defending its owner with a mean fierce gaze. He took out a porcelain bottle and gave it to Rui Fei saying, "Wake everyone up while I figure the talismans out."

Rui Fei who had just been staring at his uncle with a fierce expression turned to look at him with a beaming smile like he had been given a treat. If he had a tail it would have been wagging right now.

He touched Ji Yao's cheek before slowly moving down to the side of his neck. Rubbing it gently with the warmth from Ji Yao's body setting his nerves on fire he said, "From now on don't go anywhere without me," in an imperative tone like he was meant to be obeyed.

Ji Yao found this funny as he took the boy's hand off his neck. He snickered as he said, "Yeah sure," in a sarcastic tone but Rui Fei didn't catch the hint of sarcasm.

All he heard was that Ji Yao agreed and he would hold this against him in the future. Ji Yao would truly come to regret this soon. He walked over to the talisman and scrutinized each and every one of them. He was so deep in studying the strokes that he didn't notice these two people whispering to each other.

To be precise, it was Huishe Yue doing all the whispering. He had just been fed tons and tons of dog food by his nephew and this didn't quite settle well with him.

Firstly this cub had partially awakened and somehow attached himself to a boy. The Huishe didn't necessarily care if their children found females or males outside the clan except if it was with the Qilin.

That was a no go zone from the get-go. An awakened Huishe cub would have to look for a female with a fragrance strong enough to calm their aggressive nature.

The main point was heavily emphasized on the word female but Rui Fei went out of his way to attach himself to a man who was also from their enemy clan. How could this uncle not have a conversation with him despite having only met three hours ago?

He crouched down beside Rui Fei who was trying to wake up Lan Wu and asked, "So did you two complete the coupling ceremony? I reckon your seraphic energy is repelling him, right?"

Rui Fei, "....."

The not so innocent boy couldn't understand what coupling is but judging from Huishe Yue's expression it was definitely something naughty.

Rui Fei didn't raise his head as he continued pressing the rim of the porcelain bottle on Lan Wu's nose. "What's coupling?" he asked genuinely confused.

He had no idea what he was before this so how could he know anything about the Nocru.

Huishe Yue almost facepalmed his forehead when he realised Rui Fei had zero knowledge about the Huishe clan. He was about to ask him if they could discuss this further afterwards when Lan Wu woke up.

Unlike how he was like with Ji Yao, he just walked away moving on to the next once those eyes were open. Lan Wu was left to face a filthy unfamiliar face that looked like bigfoot with a messy tangled head of hair. It would be a miracle if he didn't yelp out a little startled. He was so frightened that he engaged his aether ready to put up a fight.

Lucky for Huishe Yue, Ji Yao was fully committed to giving Rui Fei an opportunity to have a family member who cared for him so he countered Lan Wu's attack preventing anyone from getting injured.

"Stand down, he is an ally," he spoke before looking up again.

Lan Wu wanted to say something but when he saw that Nocru was curiously staring at him he fell silent. 'Huh, so weak," said Huishe Yue wondering if the poor thing's bones would break with one slap. It's a good thing Lan Wu couldn't read minds otherwise he would be frightened to death.

A crazy psychopath is always a crazy psychopath even when he is wearing the hat of a good uncle. It's safe to say Huishe Yue and Rui Fei were cut from the same cloth.

The only reason why we rarely see Rui Fei's crazy side is because he is still trying to woo this senior. He wouldn't want to show his male god his looney side otherwise he might be single for the rest of his life.
