Vampire Overlord System in the Apocalypse

Noah walked back to classes, seemingly having avoided his bullies.

Now that Adamantine's issue was dealt with rather smoothly, he still felt like he needed to be cautious.

The teacher talked about how it was prohibited to enter Dungeons at night, as the monsters usually multiply there.

Even an F-Rank Dungeon filled with weak monsters seemed to be dangerous to inexperienced students, and the security around the Dungeons' rifts increased.

Noah gnashed his teeth a bit, it seemed that he would not be able to enter this place as smoothly as the last two days.

The worst part, E-Rank Hunters would be monitoring the area.

Although students can enter to hunt at day, it is usually advised to not do so if not given a task or test by the teacher.

However, this was a Military School that trained inexperienced young people to become Hunters, their primary job was to kill monsters after all.

So today there was a small test.

"It has been roughly two months since classes have started and I believe that it should be finally time for a test. Of course, not written, as we had many like those already. The director had permitted me to allow this class to go to an exploration towards the F-Rank to E-Rank Dungeon 'Miasma Forest'," said the teacher, as many of the student's eyes shined brightly, they were finally given the chance to enter a Dungeon through a test, instead of the boring written tests on paper!

"Ahem. I am happy that all of you are excited, but all of you must consider the dangers of such a Dungeon, you cannot simply go by yourselves after all. Although I am rather confident that you can defeat F-Rank or E-Rank Monsters without many issues, it would be better if you could form parties of up to five students," said the teacher, as the students began to dart out of their seats, running towards their friends to make parties with.

Of course, no one wanted the 'useless' Noah nor the 'pig' Iris, so they were left alone, there were also various other outcasts, weak students that have not managed to make parties or were looked down on by the crowd.

Noah smiled as it seemed that his plans were coming to fruition faster than he had expected.

Arthur was left alone with his maid, which somehow also counted as some kind of student.

There was also another boy, with short brown hair and a large scar on his left eye, Noah knew about him a bit, he was nicknamed the 'cyclops Jon'.

Much like Iris, Jon had an ability not fitted for combat as much as the other students, which let him enhance his vision through the only eye he could see with.

His stats averaged at 3-5, and although he was slightly stronger than Iris originally, he did not even compare to the strongest students who averaged with stats of 50-70.

Although Arthur was not looked down on by his stats or abilities, which were rather decent, he was crippled and seemed rather useless, so no one even took a glance at him.

Iris shyly glanced back at Noah, as she began to walk to his seat…

Noah sighed.

He had strictly told her to not approach him in Class, yet there she was, cutely walking towards him with an excited and adorable smile.

"N-Noah, let's… make a party!" she said.

Many of the students noticed the 'pig' Iris asking the 'useless' Noah to form a party with, and burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! So fitting, the pig and the useless one forming a party!"

"Oh my, look at her face, she looks so happy to have realized that there is someone as useless as her!"

"Damn, all those useless guys should just form a party so they go and die altogether, they would be giving us a favor, honestly," said Fernand Firebrand, the leader of the group that bullied Noah.

"What is she going to do in a dungeon? Hear the monster come? Not like she can even defeat them, to begin with!"

"Literally everyone can sense monster coming, her little ears are very useless,"

"And that Noah, he doesn't even have abilities! Does he even has the System?"

"Teacher, form a party for all of them, add Jon and Arthur into the mix for maximum useless efficiency!" laughed Fernand, as his lackeys nodded.

The teacher seemed to sigh for a moment, although he would have liked to reprimand these students, Fernand was the brother of an S-Rank Hunter, and he could not easily offend him.

"Ahem. Please, everyone, be more respectful, those that have not awakened Abilities like Noah might one day do…" said the teacher.

Iris glared at all the students laughing as her eyes suddenly gleamed with bloodlust, emanating a crimson aura for a few seconds!

Somehow, many students that were not strong enough noticed this, and froze in shock!

"W-Was that…?"

"Did Iris just?"

"No… It must have been our imagination…"

"Y-Yeah, there is no way that the pig would ever emanate such a presence,"

However, Iris was stopped by Noah's hand that touched her own.

"Calm down," he said.

"Ah… S-Sorry…" muttered Iris.

"Alright, there is no helping it, let's form a party then," said Noah expressionlessly.

"He actually accepted!"

"Good thing you know your place!"

"Just ignore them, soon, they shall know what we are capable of…" said Noah telepathically to Iris, as she nodded slightly, averting her gaze from the other students.

The teacher quickly noticed the students that were left alone and decided to make a group with them, although it was the same suggestion that the bratty Fernand gave to him, he could not help but think that it made sense to an extent.

At the very least, he believed that F-Rank to E-Rank Dungeons, which were in the middle difficulty between these two Ranks would not be much of a problem, especially because Arthur was a good healer and there was also his maid that held some useful offensive Skills.

"Very well then, there is no other choice. Jon, Arthur, Timassa, Iris, and Noah shall form a party, you are exactly five," said the teacher with an apologetic smile.

Noah glanced at his main target, Arthur, as the blonde boy gently smiled at him Timassa, the stoic beauty that was his maid, glared at Noah, Iris, and Jon with a sharp look, seemingly quite wary.

Jon in the other case, glanced at Noah, Arthur, and Iris for a bit, he seemed completely expressionless, and his face was always down.

"Well, now that things are settled, please make sure to grab the items we have left for you outside, our soldiers will distribute them. Alongside basic medicines, there are also weapons that you might pick for yourself, although they are only borrowed, make sure to bring them in a good state if you do not want to pay for it," said the teacher, as the students walked out and were given backpacks filled with medicines and potions mass-produced by Hunters who had acquired Creation-oriented Skills.

Noah quickly gathered with his new group, as everyone decided to present themselves a bit.

"Hello, it is nice to meet all of you, please take good care of me, I will make sure to take care of your wounds and also to enhance your capabilities, even if you have non-offensive abilities, I am sure that I can make you be able to fight," said Arthur with a gentle smile.

"I am also looking forward to you three. As long as you behave in front of Arthur-sama," said Timassa.

"You don't have to be so strict with other people, Timassa-san," said Arthur.

"…"

Jon only seemed to nod shyly, he didn't seem to even be able to muster a word.

"Well, I am looking forward to working with all of you…" said Iris adorably, giving a bright smile that made Jon's dark eyes suddenly shine a bit brightly.

"Sure thing, Arthur, let's work together so we can get a good grade in the test," said Noah.
