Chapter 382 - Her Loss Of Appetite

"They are delicious." Liu Longwei replied truthfully before sending another spoon of food into his mouth.

"Darling, do you want me to feed you?." Chen Lihua asked cheerfully.

"Don't trouble yourself." Liu Longwei said, rejecting her softly.

He was now, wondering what was going on with her. She was beginning to scare him.

"Darl...".

"Sweetheart, can you get the book on her to care for a fetus over here, It should be on the nightstand in our bedroom." Liu Longwei said cutting her off.

He didn't know how long he would be able to tolerate her if she continued to disturb him, and allow him to eat peacefully.

"Oh, no problem." Chen Lihua replied and left without knowing the actual reason she was sent away.

She didn't even know that she was sent away. She thought it was a mere errand, and that was why she left.

If only she knew the reason, she might even pick a quarrel with him, or even send the dishes away.

Finally having some peace, and the place to himself, Liu Longwei enjoyed the food to his satisfaction.

He didn't finish the food even though he liked it, he left for his wife.

At least, that's what a good husband should do.

When Chen Lihua returned, she saw her husband sitting cross-legged on the sofa with a document in her hand.

Then she glanced at the plates on the table and saw that he remained some of the dishes.

She kept the book in her hand on the study table before walking towards him to ask with a frown laced on her face.

"Darling, why didn't you finish the food?."

Liu Longwei put down the document, so he could see her.

"I am satisfied. Thank you, the food was delicious."

"Well, in that case, I have to inform the servants to come and clear the plates." Chen Lihua said as she made a move to go out, but Liu Longwei stopped her.

"Sweetheart, come and have some food." Liu Longwei, beckoning on her.

"I'm not hungry yet, and besides, I had some food before bringing yours for you." Chen Lihua said in reply before escaping.

Liu Longwei didn't force her anymore. He just watched as she literally, flew out of the study room, as if she was being pursued by someone.

When she left, Liu Longwei sat into deep thought.

He was very worried about her loss of appetite.

I mean, how can the baby grow and be healthy when the mother is not supplying it with the quantity and quality of nutrients required?.

Liu Longwei immediately called the doctor to complain, after he made a call to the housekeeper to find out if his wife had eaten.

He got a positive reply, his wife had lunch, but the problem was the quantity she ate.

It was reported that she didn't eat more than five spoonfuls of food.

That was indeed bad news.

The doctor told Liu Longwei it was normal in some cases, but he should try to get her to eat sometimes.

She also reminded him to strictly follow the diet plan for her.

With the doctor's instructions, Liu Longwei quickly developed a plan in his head.

All he just needed to do, was to implement them.

"Let's see how you will escape this time around." Liu Longwei said as he smiled to himself.

Liu Longwei glanced at his wristwatch and wondered what was keeping his wife from returning even after the servants have come to clear the plates.

A few minutes later, Chen Lihua came back with a plate of grapes.

The grapes looked succulent and juicy.

"What took you so long?." Liu Longwei asked her with a tight grown on her face.

"Oh! I want to get this." Chen Lihua replied as she moved the place to his sight.

"Enjoy!." He said as he continued with his work.

"Chen Lihua sat opposite of him at the study table, before she began to flip through the book Liu Longwei asked her to bring.

Both husband and wife studied in their aspects.

Liu Longwei did his work-study, while Chen Lihua studied to learn more about the fetus.

Chen Lihua felt that she could understand at a faster rate, probably because, she was eating grapefruits.

When Liu Longwei tried to take a piece, she slapped his hands away, and shifted the plate of grapefruits, more to her side.

"You won't even give some to your husband?." Liu Longwei asked her with a smirk on his face.

"No, it's for the baby and me." Chen Lihua said, putting him off her list without a second thought.

"Wow! You abandoned your husband after you learned you had another person in you. How good you are!." Liu Longwei said before fixing his gaze back to his work.

Chen Lihua ignored him, as she was more interested in what she was reading, so she made attention to it.

Being ignored was not a good feeling at all, and that how was how Liu Longwei was currently feeling.

He was now feeling so insignificant in her eyes.

He tried to get her attention by tapping the table with his fingers to see if he could distract, and get her to take even a glance at him.

Fortunately for him, his plan worked, but the kind of look he got was not what he was asking for.

He was expecting a loving look from his wife, but, instead, all he got was a warning glare.

That alone was enough to erase any other ideas he had.

Liu Longwei decided to concentrate on his work and leave her be.

After some hours passed by without them talking to each other, Chen Lihua yawned and closed the book in her hand.

"Are you tired?." Liu Longwei asked when he raised his head and was in the to catch her yawning.

"Yeah, I am going to catch some sleep, see you later." Chen Lihua said as she stood to her feet.

"Alright, just be careful on your way out." Liu Longwei said in a kind reminder.

"Yeah, I know, my eyes are still functioning perfectly." Chen Lihua replied as she walked out of the room.
