Unpredictable Marriage.

Chapter 304 - Another Woman Outside.

That same evening, Aunt Lin's ex moved into her house after thinking things through.

Being close to the woman he loves and their daughter was the best thing he could ever ask for. He could also use that opportunity to get in the good books of his love, to see if he could change her mind about their union.

Two days later...

The woman whom Aunt Lin's ex divorced recently is seen happily ordering people around as they move things into the new apartment. She had managed to get her ex-lover to pay for everything.

She had finally gotten what she wanted, so of course, she would be happy.

"Careful! You will break that vase, do you know how much it cost me?" she shouted arrogantly.

"I will just make do of this one for now. He would have to buy me a bigger house soon," she said to herself in all smiles.

"Son, you can go and check out your room. It has been well furnished," the woman said as she turned to her son.

The boy looked excited in the wheelchair he was confined to. So the female servant that had been behind his back wheeled him to take a look at his bedroom.

The house they moved into was a three-bedroom apartment located in a different city.

The price of housing there was neither expensive nor cheap. So the woman wasn't too happy seeing that where she finally settled in was of a lower grade than where she lived before.

The intentions of the man settling her in another city were because he wanted her to stay far away from him.

But this brainless woman didn't even know about it. She was only happy that she had gotten ahold of him and was planning further on how to rip him off more money.

When her ex-lover paid for the hospital bills and the accommodation, he advised her to get herself a job and stop staying idle.

But the woman had her own plans. She didn't have in mind to stress herself by working. She just wanted to sit at home doing nothing, but money would be entering her account.

As for her daughter, who had refused to pick her calls, she sent the address of their new house to her, asking her to come home.

It was now left for the young lady to come home because her mother didn't know her whereabouts and could not come personally drag her back.

As for the young lady in question, she was currently having a sumptuous meal with her 'grandmother'.

The young lady was happily eating while picking some side dishes for her 'grandmother'.

What a harmonious atmosphere indeed.

The old lady kept smiling from ear to ear.

"Has your mother contacted you since then?" the old lady asked while wiping her lips clean.

The young lady swallowed the food in her mouth before proceeding to reply.

"Yes. She sent me a text message about the address of her new house."

The old lady briefly paused in her actions before she continued. Then she asked this question as if she doesn't care.

"Who knows who got the house for her? Do you plan on going to live with her?"

"No! Am not going back to live with her, I want to stay with you," the young girl said in a determined voice.

"You can stay here all you want. Where does she live now?" the old lady probed further.

The young lady, without thinking much, gave her the address.

"Oh! She is staying in a different city? It would be good if she changes from her ways and lives there peacefully," the old lady said before gulping down a glass of water.

The young lady just nodded and continued with her food.

In the evening, Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei were both working, each minding their own business.

Chen Lihua's eyes felt tired, so she shut her laptop down before removing the glasses over her eyes. Then she sighed tiredly.

"Tired?" Liu Longwei asked, looking up from the documents in his hands.

"Yeah, a bit. But my eyes are more tired than my brain," Chen Lihua replied as she chuckled softly.

"Rest them then. You should try to reduce the time you spend looking at your phones or the computer screen. It's not good for your eyes and the surgeries you perform at the hospital, too," Liu Longwei advice, as he was worried about her health.

"I only work with the laptop at home because that's when I have the time. As for my phone, I don't even have the time to look at it. If you are talking about the surgeries I perform in the hospital because of the light used in the theater, you should forget it. I cannot stop performing surgeries because of my eyes, it wasn't what I signed up for," Chen Lihua explained calmly.

"I didn't ask you to stop your work. I'm only telling you to reduce the number of surgeries you partake in because of your sight. If your eyesight should deteriorate, then you wouldn't be able to perform surgeries again," Liu Longwei explained further.

Chen Lihua sighed before saying in agreement, "Ok, I will listen to you."

Then as she reached out for the glass of water on her desk, her hand mistakenly hit her glasses, and it fell to the floor.

"What fell?" Liu Longwei asked as he watched Chen Lihua immediately bend to pick up something.

"My glasses," Chen Lihua replied as she gave the glasses a good look to see if it was broken after picking it up.

"Thank goodness it's not broken," Chen Lihua said as she sighed in relief.

"Do you have a spare?" Liu Longwei asked, with his gaze fixed on her.

"You mean the glasses? I don't have another pair. This is all I've got," Chen Lihua replied as she put the glasses over eyes while holding unto its hands.

"That's not a good idea. You should have several pairs of them in case of contingencies. What if it broke now, then you wouldn't have another pair to replace it. In life, you should always have a backup plan," Liu Longwei advised.

Looking away from the glasses in her hands, Chen Lihua gave him a hard stare before asking with a facade of a smile.

"Since you always have backup plans, do you have another woman outside you would replace me with if I fail or get broken?"
