Chapter 279 - Chen Lihua Request For A Chopper.

"Should we stop to see a chopper asked his wife with his eyes still looking behind.

"There is no need. You don't know who your daughter is, she will just go back inside the house when she sees our car come to a stop," Lady Chen said with a smile.

Chen K felt that what his wife said was true, so he didn't insist anymore.

"What are you doing out here?" Liu Longwei asked his woman, who still had her eyes on her parent's car.

"I came to see if the unwanted visitors had left," Chen Lihua said while returning a glance at Liu Longwei before going back into the house.

Liu Longwei chuckled softly before following after her.

"What's this?" Chen Lihua asked while pointing towards the packaged flask.

"Your mum said they prepared Indian sweets for you," Liu Longwei said as he passed the flask to her.

Chen Lihua immediately took the flask from him and opened it. The aroma from the sweets wafted into her nostrils.

"Wow! But who asked them to do this?" Chen Lihua asked before sitting down on the couch with the flask in hand.

She didn't seem that she would let anyone take the flask from her.

Liu Longwei smiled as he watched her pick one of the coconut ladoos and take a bite from it.

It didn't look like she wasn't enjoying herself, because she even closes her eyes while eating the sweets.

"Do you like it?" Liu Longwei asked while sitting beside her.

"Of course I love it!" Chen Lihua announced with her mouth full of food.

"Have a bite," Chen Lihua said while picking up one roll of coconut ladoo and passing it to him. Then Liu Longwei lowered his head to take a bite.

"Mmmmm... Delicious," Liu Longwei muttered.

"I didn't know my mum would go this far to make me forgive them. She has never made any Indian dish for me before," Chen Lihua said.

"So, have you forgiven your parents seeing the effort they put in to make you happy?" Liu Longwei asked.

"No! These Indian sweets will go well with the Indian song that was playing earlier. Am going back to the bedroom," Chen Lihua said, changing the topic, as she stood up to leave.

Liu Longwei just sat on the sofa and watched her leave. But he knew that Chen Lihua's heart had softened, and she might have forgiven her parents, but was probably pretending not to have.

"Follow me if you want some of the coconut ladoos," Chen Lihua's voice came through.

The next day, Liu Longwei went back to work, while Chen Lihua stayed back at home, doing some research, as she was to come into work the next day.

So while working on her laptop, she received an emergency call from the hospital, there was an emergency surgery that needed attention from the hospital.

Chief Surgeon Song was out in the outskirts of the city where he went to perform a surgery in another hospital, and wouldn't be able to make it back in time.

As for the deputy Chief surgeon, he gave an excuse that he was tired because he just came out from surgery two hours ago.

As for the other cardiologist remaining, they also had one excuse or the other.

One went with the Chief surgeon to the outskirts of the city. Some of the others that participated in the surgery with the deputy chief surgeon wanted to rest as well. They felt they were not fit to stand another long operation again according to them.

While the remaining cardiothoracic surgeons we're not fit to lead a surgery, they would only do well with assisting.

So when Dr. Song got this news, he asked for Chen Lihua to be summoned with immediate effect. Since she was back in the country, and because she was the only one fit to handle the surgery, and they could rely on now.

Chen Lihua gave a positive response and immediately asked them to get the theatre ready for the operation.

After the call from the hospital, she called Liu Longwei immediately, and when he picked, she didn't wait for him to say anything.

"Hello Longwei, I have emergency surgery at the hospital right now, please can you send me a Heli?"

"Of course, it will be there in five minutes," Liu Longwei said quickly, as he didn't want to waste any more of her time, on learning that she was in a hurry from her rapid breathing.

"Thank you," Chen Lihua said and ended the call, before going to change her attire since the short skirt she was putting on, wasn't appropriate, and also to get her lab coat and work bag.

So, she just wore a white trouser and came out of the room.

And by the time she went to the rooftop, the helicopter was already there waiting for her.

"This way madam", a bodyguard said while showing Chen Lihua the way with his hand.

When Chen Lihua was about climbing in, the bodyguard assisted her.

Within five minutes, the helicopter landed on the helipad on the hospital's rooftop.

"Dr. Chen, the theatre, has already been prepped. Your assistant surgeon and the rest of the team are already waiting for you," A nurse said as she received Chen Lihua.

"Put me through about the patient," Chen Lihua said while putting on her coat as the nurse took her bag from her.

"The female patient has a heart disease involving her heart valve in her arteries, and she was transferred from a local hospital. But there was a misinterpretation of the date she was supposed to be transferred, and that's is why we are in this situation now," The nurse explained.

"That's ok, please continue," Chen Lihua said while trying her hair as they entered the elevator.

The nurse then proceeded to continue briefing her on the patient.

When they reached the theatre, Chen Lihua went into the room by the side to wash her hands.

She prepped herself up for the surgery, and then immediately she entered the theatre.
