Unpredictable Marriage.

Chapter 275 - Chen Lihua Finds Out About Her Father.

His eyes widened in shock, so Chen Lihua asked him what the problem was while trying to look out through her side of the car's window, following his sight.

Liu Longwei stopped her in-time by holding her cheeks and kissing her.

"What's wrong with you?" Chen Lihua asked in shock as she wiped her lips while looking between Liu Longwei and the driver with the bodyguard in the front passenger seat.

"I just wanted to kiss you," Liu Longwei replied.

Chen Lihua rolled her eyes at him while muttering under her breath, "Who would kiss someone out of the blue?"

"Me~," Liu Longwei replied while fixing his gaze on her.

Chen Lihua didn't dwell on the matter anymore, she just looked out through the winded glass.

When they got home, they freshened up immediately.

Instead of staying around to chat with his wife; Liu Longwei disappeared into the study with the excuse of having lots of work piled up on his desk.

Chen Lihua found it weird that he would be rushing off to work immediately they came back, but she didn't stop him.

It's been a while since she last checked up the latest updates and news in the country or her social media page.

She's been busy having fun for the past few days, and now it was time for her to update herself with the latest happenings in the country.

Switching back to her home sim, there were lots of vibrations coming from her phone, which were mostly notifications of text messages.

"Wow! It seemed like I've missed a lot," Chen Lihua said to herself in a smile.

She saw some SMS notifications on her phone, and most of them started with, 'Congratulations Lihua, on a family reunion....'

'Lihua dear, congratulations to you...'

'I saw the news about your father on TV, con....'

Chen Lihua was baffled when she saw the last text because her attention was caught by the word, 'Your father.'

"What is this one talking about? What news about my father?" Chen Lihua asked herself with a little fear in her heart as she opened the text to read.

And what she saw shocked her.

With shivering hands and a confused mind, Chen Lihua exited the SMS App before going to check on the news feed.

The more she browsed, the more shocked she became with the news headlines.

'Former CEO of the Chen group makes a reappearance.'

'Chen group's former CEO is back and alive.'

'Mr. Chen is back and holds a press conference immediately after...'

"Dad....dad is alive?" Chen Lihua asked herself as tears filled her eyes.

She clicked on one of the headlines with shaky fingers, and there, another caption caught her eyes.

'In the press conference, Mr. Chen said he was present at his daughter's wedding ceremony.'

"He came to my wedding, how come I didn't know about it?" Chen Lihua asked herself as tears rolled down her cheeks.

It seemed like something came to her mind because she immediately stopped scrolling down her phone, lost in thought.

She recalled that her mother had introduced her to one of her father's close friends, Mr. Gu, as the person that would walk her down the aisle on her wedding day.

But that person didn't look like her father that much, apart from a distinct similarity. Chen Lihua thought as she scrolled down on her phone, only for her to see a recent picture of her father, sitting at a table in the press conference and surrounded by reporters.

Something dawned on her, 'Unless he disguised himself,' Chen Lihua thought as more tears rolled down her cheeks.

This time around, she cried uncontrollably. She felt angry, sad, and shocked all at the same time. She felt like she had been betrayed.

She couldn't bear to look at the news anymore, so she threw her phone away, and it landed on the glass window of Liu Longwei's bedroom.

Liu Longwei immediately rushed into the bedroom when he heard the shattering sound that came from the glass.

"Lihua...Lihua what is it, are you hurt?" He asked worriedly as he hurriedly rushed to her side, and enveloped her in an embrace.

Chen Lihua embraced him and cried more uncontrollably. She cried because she felt hurt and betrayed.

No one ever mentioned to her that her father was still alive. He even came for her wedding and walked her down the aisle without her knowledge.

"Did you know about my father?" Chen Lihua asked in a hoarse voice, as she left his embrace to look at his face with teary eyes.

"Mmmm," Liu Longwei hummed in response while staring at her worriedly.

"And you didn't care to inform me?" Chen Lihua asked in between sobs.

Seeing how quiet he was, Chen Lihua knew that he was guilty.

"You are just like everyone else, you are so mean like them. Do you all take me for a child?! You all play with my feelings and treat me like a child! Everything is done without my permission. My life is planned without my knowledge, and when things happen, I am left unawares. What do I mean to all of you?!" Chen Lihua barked with reddened eyes.

And when Liu Longwei tried to embrace her, she pushed him away.

"Don't touch me!" She screamed.

Liu Longwei sighed and did not try to touch her anymore while trying to explain to her.

"Lihua it's not like that. We don't devalue or undermine you. We only did what we thought was best for you, we didn't mean to hurt you."

"You all didn't mean to hurt me? Then why the f**k is my heart hurting, why is it hurting?" Chen Lihua asked as she grabbed his palm to place on her chest.

"Do you even understand what am going through now? My mother controls my life with the excuse that she is doing what's best for me. My father ...forget that one. And you, you keep me in the dark because you think is best for me. What is wrong with all of you?!"
