Unpredictable Marriage.

Chapter 268 - A Divorce Won't Be Easy.

She didn't even spare him a glance, talk more of exchanging words with him.

He found her change in attitude to be quite surprising.

The nanny followed behind Liu Huiling as she came out from one of the rooms.

"Madam, your handbag," She said as she handed the handbag in her hand to Liu Huiling.

Liu Huiling dropped one of the luggage, the bigger one as she took the handbag from the nanny.

So the nanny picked up the two pieces of luggage, the one Liu Huiling dropped, and the one her husband left beside the sofa, while the man walked with the children.

He felt a tinge of emotion and so he took the bags (handbag and one traveling luggage) from Liu Huiling without saying anything.

Liu Huiling paused in her step as she watched the man snatch the bags from her, and stared into the distance for a while until she was called back by the nanny.

So she quickly held her daughter's hands as she walked with them.

'At least, his conscience still hasn't been entirely eaten by a dog,' Liu Huiling thought to herself.

While in the car, the man's phone rang. But on seeing the caller ID, he terminated the call.

And when his phone rang for the second, and then the third time, he switched off his phone immediately.

Then he glanced at Liu Huiling only to see that she had her eyes glued to him. So out of guilt, he looked away immediately.

"Why don't you answer the call?" Liu Huiling asked, making it the first time she was speaking to him that day.

"It's nothing," The man grumbled as he put his phone inside his breast pocket.

Liu Huiling turned to look out through the window, totally ignoring him throughout their journey.

Back at the Liu Villa.

Old Madam Liu said to Madam Liu, who was sitting beside her in a low voice, "This house feels so lonely with my grandchildren and great-grandchildren gone."

Madam Liu Biyu smiled and replied to her from the side, "Mother if you are bored, maybe you can try taking walks outside, go out to meet your friends, or travel again."

Old Madam Liu sighed as she replied, "Forget it! I came back from a trip three months ago, my old bones cannot tolerate moving around so much."

Madam Liu smiled gracefully and said, "Mother, I know you still have years to live on, so you need to have fun."

"Leave it be, I know that you are just trying to make me happy," Old Madam Liu said with a smile, and Madam Liu smiled back at her.

"Thankfully, Lihua married into our family successfully," Old Madam Liu said with a big smile on her face.

"Yes, mother. Yesterday was great! Lihua looked so beautiful in that dress and many people had their eyes on her wherever she went," Madam Liu said cheerfully.

Old Madam Liu smiled as she said, "I am very pleased with the way she took care of her wedding and didn't bring shame to both families. My friends kept complimenting me throughout the day. One even asked me to give Lihua's contact with her, but I dismissed her request. I will not share my granddaughter-in-law with anyone."

Both ladies chuckled happily.

"Where is Liu Huang?" Old Madam Liu asked.

"He is upstairs," Madam Liu answered respectfully.

"Call him. He has been in the room for so long, and I need to discuss something with him," Old Madam Liu said firmly. So Madam Liu stood to leave to call him, instead of sending a servant.

Immediately she entered the room, Mr. Liu's phone started to ring, so as she walked towards it, the bathroom door opened, and Mr. Liu walked out from there, towards her.

He immediately snatched the phone from her hand and left a quick kiss on her cheek.

"I have an important call to answer," He whispered as he answered the call and went back into the bathroom.

Madam Liu heaved a sigh as she sat on the bed to wait for him.

Five minutes later, Mr. Liu emerged from the bathroom with all smiles. He was surprised to see his wife sitting on the bed.

"You look excited, what was the call all about?" Madam Liu asked casually.

"I just snagged a business deal," He answered before changing the topic, "Were you waiting for me?"

"Oh… Yes. Mother said....." Then Madam Liu proceeded to relay Old Madam Liu's message to him.

Mr. Liu nodded and left the bedroom with her.

As for Aunt Lin, she was currently entertaining a visitor in her house. And the visitor was not just anyone, but her darling ex-fiancé.

"Lin'er, I must thank you, you did very well. I snagged a lot of contacts that would be beneficial to my business yesterday, and I must thank you for that," Ex-fiancé said as he happily chugged his tea down.

"It was nothing," Aunt Lin replied without care.

To her, she didn't even do much. The only thing she did was to give him an opportunity, and he made good use of it.

"How can you say it's nothing? You don't know what you've done for me," Her ex-fiancé said gratefully.

"With the consideration that you are our child's father; the least I could do was to give you an opportunity," Aunt Lin replied with a hidden smirk.

Her ex felt so touched that his eyes started to turn red.

"That's right, I have a beautiful daughter with my beloved woman."

"Have you started processing your divorce with your wife?" Aunt Lin asked before taking a sip from her teacup.

"She is not my wife!" The man said in agitation.

"Calm down," Aunt Lin said with a smile as she refilled his teacup.

"Am sorry," The man said before gulping down some content of the teacup.

"Although I want a divorce from that woman, it's not just going to be easy," He said truthfully with furrowed brows.

"Do you need my help?" Aunt Lin asked with a calm smile.
