Chen Lihua was not in the mood for any disturbance, as she was already feeling very nervous. So she gave the bodyguard who opened the car door for her a sign with her eyes to shut the car door immediately.

So, case closed, matter, settled.

Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei left for the church in convoys. The security drones were released today, so they could be seen hovering around the cars, but not too far away from them.

As for their houses (Chen and Liu), they were heavily guarded.

Even the church and reception venue was heavily guarded, with a helicopter hovering above the rooftop of each building.

Liu Longwei was indeed, very meticulous with the security, as he didn't want even a little mishap to take place.

He did all this planning not because of the enemies he had, but also because of other enemies that would come for any other guests, or family at his wedding.

He didn't want negative breaking news on his wedding day, so he had to tread with caution.

Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei didn't leave for the church at the same time. Liu Longwei and his groomsmen arrived an hour before the ceremony, while Chen Lihua and her bridesmaids arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony.

When Chen Lihua learned that she would be arriving at the church 30 minutes before the ceremony, and Liu Longwei would arrive an hour before the ceremony, she started to panic.

"Why do we have to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony? Are you sure 30 minutes is enough time? What if we are late?" Chen Lihua asked.

Caro who was not part of the bridesmaids smiled and explained patiently, "We want to make sure you are hidden before your guests start to arrive, so they won't get an early peek at the gown."

"Relax baby girl, no wedding will start or take place without you, besides you're the bride," Angel said.

"Sister-in-law, you don't need to panic. If something crops up on the road, which is impossible because my brother had made earlier arrangements for the route to the church. But the helicopter will take you to the church if there will be any unforeseen circumstances," Liu Dongmei explained confidently.

With all these explanations, Chen Lihua was able to calm down.

When Chen Lihua arrived at the church, she sat in the car (Karlmann King) to wait for the time she would walk down the aisle since she didn't opt for taking more photos in the church.

While waiting for time, Chen Lihua and Liu Longwei spoke on the phone with each other for five minutes. They were too happy that they became short of words.

Ten minutes to the time she would walk down the aisle, she was helped out of the car. By then, everyone was already waiting in the church for her arrival.

"Where is my mother? Why is she not here yet?" Chen Lihua asked nervously with a tinge of anger mixed with worry in her voice.

Only ten minutes were left for her to walk down the aisle, and her mother was nowhere to be found, so she had every reason to throw a fit.

"She will be here soon," Her cousin said while trying to calm her down.

Just then, Lady Chen walked over, with a man behind her.

"Is my Baby looking for me?" Lady Chen asked with a big smile on her face as she walked gracefully in her exquisite outfit. But then she paused, as her mouth was agape before she hurriedly walked closer to stand in front of Chen Lihua.

"You look gorgeous daughter, and your dress is beautiful, you look stunning in it. Let's take a quick selfie," Lady Chen said, as she went to stand beside her, and raising her phone to take a picture.

"Mum, are you serious now, is the right time for this?" Chen Lihua asked with a slight frown on her face. She was a little annoyed at the situation.

"Give me a smile, and we'll be done in five seconds," Lady Chen said while looking into the camera.

Chen Lihua, then obeyed her immediately, while having a smile of pretense on her face.

"Done! Lihua, this is Mr. Gu, he is your father's best friend and one of his business partners, and he has always been like a father figure to you in the shadows, even though you do not know the detail, but he will be the one to walk you down the aisle," Lady Chen said while pointing at the man behind her.

It now that Chen Lihua caught a good glimpse at the man.

Earlier, her focus was on another thing, so she didn't notice him. 

But now looking at him, she felt that he was familiar and that she had seen that face somewhere, but she couldn't precisely point her fingers at it.

When she was a teenager, she used to attend many social gatherings with her parents. So she had been introduced to many business partners on several occasions, which she can't even remember any of their faces.

Mr. Gu, said hello to Chen Lihua, and she responded, before dragging her mother off to talk in another corner.

"Mum, why is he walking me down the aisle instead of you? I don't even know him," Chen Lihua asked in annoyance.

"Lihua dear, you don't have a lot of time on your side now, you just have three minutes before you walk down the aisle. Are you sure you want to stand here and listen to my explanations? After the wedding, we will sit down and have a good talk," Lady Chen said while patting her daughter's palm gently.

Chen Lihua didn't need to overthink what her mother said is true, she didn't have enough time on her side.

So, she quickly walked back to Mr. Gu, and gave him an apologetic smile, before hooking his arm, after he stretched out his right hand to her in a gentle smile.
