Unpredictable Marriage.

That didn't in any way make Chen Lihua slow down. Instead, she replied righteously, "You have excess money, so you can pay for the fine."

Liu Longwei sighed before giving further explanation, "Our wedding is in a few days. Do you want is to make the headlines before then?"

That was the only sentence that made Chen Lihua slow down.

"Ah! I was having so much fun, but too bad it had to be cut short," Chen Lihua exclaimed with a tinge of regret laced in her voice.

Liu Longwei stared at her before asking, "I thought you were scared of over speeding?"

He couldn't help but ask because the last time he drove her in this very same sports car, she kept telling him to slow down, and he did, thinking she was scared. She even gave him a word of advice that day. But here she is driving like an expert while over speeding.

As if that wasn't enough, she had to crown his already confused mind with these words, 'I was having so much fun.'

Chen Lihua shot him a glance before keeping her eyes to the road, "Am not scared, who told you that?"

"Well, the last time I drove you in this car, you kept telling me to slow down. And that made me think you couldn't handle it when a car speeds up, especially the one you are in," Liu Longwei responded.

"Oh! That? Forget it. It's just that it's been very long since I experienced that. I used to have so much fun with my friends in the US. But when I came back to China, it all came to an end," Chen Lihua answered while looking at him.

Liu Longwei saw her staring at him, not looking road while driving with such speed, and said in a stern voice, "Please keep your eyes on the road. Don't ever try that again if you are not driving slowly.

Chen Lihua replied with "Yes Sir!", as she focused her sight on the road.

When I said Chen Lihua slowed down, it didn't mean she was now driving slowly. She was still speeding, but no longer over speeding.

The bodyguards that were following behind them sighed in relief on seeing that they had slowed down a bit.

So they quickly stepped on their accelerator to catch up with them, while at the same time withdrawing the drone they had earlier sent out.

"Let's stop for ice-cream," Chen Lihua said as she took a turn on her left.

Liu Longwei nearly rolled his eyes at her, "What? You want ice cream now ??"

"Mmhmm," Chen Lihua hummed in response.

Liu Longwei became amused at her unbelievable behavior.

"We went to a cake tasting two days ago.  When you almost finished eating the sample cakes and cupcakes, not forgetting to wash them down your stomach with different types of cocktails," Liu Longwei said in disbelief.

"At this point in my life, I want to enjoy everything I can because I can't do that after our honeymoon, as I'll be monitoring my sugar levels. But if you're worried that I will put on weight since it's five days to our wedding, then you don't need to be bothered because that won't be happening," Chen Lihua said in a happy smile.

"Hmmmmmmm?" Liu Longwei hummed in question as he had a smirk on his lips.

"Of course!" Chen Lihua answered as a matter of fact before continuing, "I don't usually eat sweetened foods. I take them once in a while because of my low sugar level, it makes me dizzy at times. But that doesn't mean I take bitter foods or drinks. And I just noticed that for over a month now, I've been tempted by them."

"Oh!" Liu Longwei responded as he watched her park the car in the parking lot.

Chen Lihua turned off the car's engine before saying immediately, "Mind you, I am not a diabetic patient. I stopped taking sweetened food products because of the painful period cramps I usually had. So when I totally cut down on my sugar intake, I noticed positive changes, I no longer had a painful period cramps. So, I continued with my dieting plan."

Liu Longwei nodded in understanding as he opened a compartment from the car and pulled out two masks and sunglasses. Then he handed one of each to Chen Lihua.

Chen Lihua took them from him and asked in surprise before putting them on quickly.

"Ah! Right, I totally forgot about this. When did you prepare them?"

"When you gave me five minutes to get ready, just before we left the house," Liu Longwei replied before putting on the items in his hands.

Both of them got off from the car with white-nose masks and a pair of sunglasses over their eyes.

Liu Longwei stared at the shop, which was different from the one Chen Lihua regularly visited.

"I just wanted to try out this one," Chen Lihua stared at the shop before staring back at him and answered in a muffled voice because of the nose mask over her nose and mouth.

Liu Longwei just nodded and followed her into the bustling shop.

Liu Longwei and Chen Lihua were totally unrecognizable with the sunglasses and nose masks on them, so they were not worried that anyone would recognize them.

Chen Lihua dragged the reluctant Liu Longwei and went straight to the counter.

A waiter smiled at them before attending to them, "Good morning, what would you like to order?"

Chen Lihua placed her order before turning to ask the man that was looking at the showcase with a scrunched up face, "Will you have the same as me?"

"No," Liu Longwei rejected before turning to say to the waiter, "A cup of coffee will do."

Chen Lihua gave him a stare before saying to the waiter, "We are a bit uncomfortable with this place. Can you please take us to a quiet room?"

The waiter nodded with a smile before signaling another waiter to take them to a new room.
