Unpredictable Marriage.

Chapter 196 - I Think You Should Watch Your Weight.

"Don't worry, Dongmei will take care of it. She's the chief designer for the Liu Group, and she's the one in charge of designing the house". Liu Longwei explained as he stood up, and helped Chen Lihua in the process.

Passing the phone back to him, Chen Lihua let out a yawn as she used her hand to cover her mouth while saying, "I think am hungry".

Liu Longwei gave her a weird stare that made her uncomfortable, so she asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Liu Longwei shook in a negative affirmation without saying anything.

But Chen Lihua somehow knew what was going on his mind so she said. "Don't give me that look. I get famished easily when am at home doing nothing. And besides, mere glancing through those beautiful designs drained me".

"Hmm. But why are you explaining to me? Did I say anything?" Liu Longwei asked, amused.

"Better for you", Chen Lihua said as she walked ahead of him down the stairs after they left the study room".

"I think you should watch your weight this period, you know, to avoid you going to the tailor to make alterations to your clothes", Liu Longwei advised seriously.

But Chen Lihua didn't even see his words as advice because she became provoked immediately.

She suddenly stopped walking and turned to glare at him. She looked him up and down, and Liu Longwei asked, "What?" because he didn't understand the sudden glare she directed towards him.

But Chen Lihua used one hand to push him aside as she climbed the stairs and went back to her room and shutting the door with a 'thud' behind her.

So Liu Longwei was left standing there in confusion.

'What just happened? Wasn't she going downstairs to eat? Why the sudden change of attitude?'

He wanted to continue down the stairs, but he just couldn't leave his angry wife that way, so he climbed up the stairs and knocked on her door, but he received no answer.

Chen Lihua heard the knock on the door but totally ignored him. She just sat on her bed sulking.

Receiving no answer, Liu Longwei knocked on her door, but this time he called her name as he knocked.

"Lihua, open the door", but he was met with silence.

"Why are you angry?" He was met with another silence.

"Open the door, let's sort this out". No movement at all.

Liu Longwei stopped knocking and calling her name and went downstairs to the living room.

He instructed the servants to prepare a quick meal for her and take it to her room.

He left the house after passing his instructions.

Not hearing her name and the knocks on her door after some time, Chen Lihua knew that Liu Longwei had walked away.

So she stood up from her bed and walked to her vanity table to look at herself in the mirror.

As she gazed at herself in the mirror, she checked herself out while at it. She touched her bare face to see if she had added another flesh, and her body to check if she had added any flesh there as well, but she didn't notice any difference.

It was not her fault that she had been getting hungry so easily these days. This was because she is slim and doesn't have enough glucose levels in her blood, and so she tended to get hungry easily, especially when she's idle.

Had it been she was normally in the hospital working, she wouldn't feel hungry so easily because her mind would have been occupied with so many things.

Chen Lihua sat on her bed gloomily as she wondered what was wrong with Liu Longwei.

Many days ago, he was the one putting food on her plate and forcing her to eat, to the extent that she added flesh that made her mother query her. And now, here he was telling her to be careful of her weight. What does he mean by that?

Having thought to this level, something struck her memory as she suddenly remembered her mother.

From what she remembered and from what she knew of her mother, the woman would have pestered her with calls after asking about her life with Liu Longwei.

But it was surprising that she hasn't even called her since after her Chinese wedding.

Chen Lihua indeed found it weird. But on a second note, she felt slightly relieved of the present situation, if not, her mother would have long bombarded her with questions.

Not long after, she heard a knock on the door. But this time around, it was a servant asking her to come and eat. But Chen Lihua didn't say a word.

"Madam we have brought your food". The servant said respectfully as she knocked on the door while the second servant carried a trolley of food.

"Who asked you to bring food for me?" Chub Lihua asked.

"Madam, sir asked us to bring food for you, to your room", the same servant answered.

"Take it away, am not hungry", Chen Lihua said as she slides onto her bed.

And through to her words, Chen Lihua didn't feel hungry anymore because of what Liu Longwei said as she felt he called her 'fat'.

The servants were confused as they wondered if their 'Sir' was confused when he asked them to cook a simple meal dish and bring it up for their Madam.

Who were they to disobey their Madam's order? They quickly left with their food.

As time went by, it was now evening when Liu Longwei came back. The first thing he did when he came into the house was to ask if his wife had eaten. But he received a negative answer, and so he asked for the reason, and a servant gave him Chen Lihua's response.

And that made Liu Longwei's brow to crease in a slight frown.

When the time for dinner came, Liu Longwei personally went to knock on Chen Lihua's door but he received no answer. But this time it was because Chen Lihua was asleep, so she didn't hear the knocks.

But as he knocked, it ended up waking her up from her deep slumber.
