Chapter 192 - Lady Chen's Heart Palpitations.

Chen Lihua was flushed red with embarrassment as she touched the kiss marks Liu Longwei left on her neck. She started cursing him and only stopped when she felt better. Then she used a concealer to cover the faint mark left as an aftermath of their actions, the previous night.

Back at the Chen Villa, after the devastated Aunt Lin left crying with her daughter, Old Master Chen asked Butler Li to make a call to Lady Chen's assistant so he could reschedule the meeting at the company, with the excuse that Lady Chen was down with a fever.

An hour later, Lady Chen woke up.

At first, when she regained consciousness, she didn't open her eyes. Instead, she had her eyes closed as she listened to her surroundings. She could hear the sound coming from the heart monitor in the room, and the sound caused by the dripping drops of the drip connected to her vein.

Lady Chen has a sharp hearing, and thus very sensitive to sounds, and Chen Lihua got that trait from her.

When she blinked her eyes open, she looked around her surroundings and found out that she was in her room and lay on her bed.

Haven taken in her surroundings, she helped herself into a sitting position in which she did with difficulty because of the syringe connected to her hand.

Lady Chen Leaned on the pillow and became lost in thought to the incident that transpired that morning.

She couldn't believe that that man was not dead after the news of the plane crash 5 years ago.

Then she began to ask herself a series of questions, 'What happened 5 years ago? Why is he only coming back now?'.....

Lost in thought, she didn't know when the doctor came in with the nurse and servant behind him.

"Mrs. Chen.....Mrs. Chen", the doctor called till Lady Chen turned to look at him, as the servant placed the glass of water on a glass stool beside the bed.

Seeing that he had finally gotten her attention, the middle-aged man who was the Chen family's doctor smiled as he approached her while taking a look at the heart rate monitor.

"How do you feel now Mrs. Chen? Are you in any discomfort?" The doctor asked her concernedly.

"I feel ok now". Lady Chen answered with her normal voice as she stared at the doctor with a slight smile.

"That's good". The doctor said with a smile before signaling the nurse with his eyes.

The nurse picked up the glass of water before passing it to Lady Chen while saying with a polite smile, "Mrs. Chen, please have a drink".

Lady Chen drank up to half of the water in the glass before passing it back to the nurse, and the nurse passed the glass cup to the servant for her to send it away.

The doctor adjusted the drip so it could drop faster now before looking at her and saying in a serious tone.

"Mrs. Chen, you fainted because you were too agitated, it caused your heart to beat too hard and fast, thus causing you to faint. You shouldn't let this type of occurrence happen again as it would be fatal to your heart. Your heart has already suffered a major shock and palpitation 5 five years ago, and now it has suffered a similar one. So you have to be careful with your health. I will prescribe some drugs for you, and give you some diet routine and exercises you have to follow".

Heart palpitations may be serious or not. It makes you feel like your heart is beating too slow or fast, or even skipping a beat or fluttering. It can be noticed in your chest, throat, or neck-through the blood vessels connected to the heart.

This condition can be bothersome and frightening when it becomes very serious.

Shortness of breath, chest pain, dizziness, weakness, and fainting are the major symptoms of this heart condition.

In rare cases like Lady Chen's, its palpitations can be a sign of a more serious condition.

And some of the causes are:

• Strong emotions like anxiety, fear, or stress which often happens during panic attacks.

• Medical conditions, including a low blood sugar level, anemia, low blood pressure, fever, dehydration, etc.

• Medications, including diet pills, asthma inhalers, and some drugs used to prevent arrhythmia (a serious heart rhythm problem), etc.

• Abnormal electrolyte levels, etc.

Lady Chen has been suffering from heart palpitations after the shock she experienced 5 years ago. And now it seemed that the ailment was showing signs of coming back due to a trigger.

"Thank you, doctor". Lady Chen said.

The doctor nodded before laying more emphasis on her diet, telling her to avoid fatty foods and to eat less of carbohydrates, as well as limit caffeinated and cholesterol-containing foods.

The nurse removed the needle from Lady Chen's hand on seeing that the drip had finished. Then she used cotton to clean the surface where she removed the needle, totally wiping out the small blood droplet that resulted from removing the needle.

Just then, the old couple pushed the door open and came in.

"Ju Ju, how are you? Are you ok now?" The Old Lady Chen said in a frenzied state as she rushed to the bed.

"Mother you don't have to worry, I am ok now". Lady Chen said with a smile.

"That's good", the Old Lady Chen said patting her chest as the look of worry on her face eased a whole lot.

Old Master Chen also let out a breath he has been holding for a while now. Then he looked at the doctor and asked, "Doctor what happened to our daughter-in-law, is there anything we should look out for?"

"She has...." The doctor had just opened his mouth to talk when Lady Chen cut him off.

"Father, mother, there's nothing wrong with me. The doctor has already prescribed some drugs for me".

"What do you mean by 'there's nothing wrong with you?'. How can you say there's nothing wrong with you when you fainted from just from seeing a guest? By the way, who was that person that caused you to be in this state?" The Old Lady Chen asked with a frown.
