Unpredictable Marriage.

Chapter 175 - The Baby Would Have Long Disappeared By Now.

Sending a spoon of the food into his mouth, he chewed on it and savoured the taste at the same time.

Seeing that big smile on his face as he ate the food, Chen Lihua smiled as well and asked happily, "Do you like the food?"

Liu Longwei nodded satisfactorily, "The food is delicious".

Chen Lihua smiled and started eating as well.

"Now, you've proved to me that you are a good cook". Liu Longwei said after he wiped his lips with the dinner napkin after eating.

Chen Lihua drank a little water from her glass and said with a big smile, "Of course, I can cook very well. I can cook different dishes from other countries as well. Sometimes, I make my own recipe".

"Thank you for the wonderful dinner". Liu Longwei said.

That night, the servants and the bodyguards all ate their fill because their mistress cooked enough for everyone, and that made them very happy.

Now they all know their Mistress could cook very well, and could even be compared to the top chefs.

As days went by, Chen Lihua obediently exercised with Liu Longwei.

So the morning of the day Chen Lihua was to go to the Chen Villa to prepare for their traditional Chinese Wedding, Liu Longwei brought out their wedding rings.

"I thought I asked you to keep the rings that it was a surprise for you. And you could only see it a day at our wedding?" Chen Lihua asked the man that came into her room.

With the ring boxes in his hands, Liu Longwei walked to Chen Lihua and sat on the same sofa as she did with a smile on his face.

"I just wanted to make sure the rings were in their right sizes".

"The rings are in their right sizes, you don't need to open the box to check them out, or slip them into our fingers. You should trust Tiffany". Chen Lihua answered him as she continued browsing the magazine in her hands.

"You sound like you trust them a lot. What if they disappoint us, what will you do?" Liu Longwei questioned as he glanced at her.

"I don't think they want to be out of business after many successful years or make a bad name for themselves because of the wrong ring size or maybe a problem with the designs requested for. So quit with your excuses". Chen Lihua said without looking at him haven found him out, as she flipped to another page of the magazine.

Liu Longwei now truly felt that having a smart wife was really troublesome for him because he couldn't even fool her whenever he wanted.

"Wife, let me just take a peek". Liu Longwei pleaded.

Chen Lihua finally closed the magazine. She dropped it on the table before finally looking at him.

"No you can't, and you are disrupting my peace. Now promise me that you won't ever take a look at the rings before a day to our wedding". Chen Lihua said seriously.

Liu Longwei sighed and compromised at last.

The reason for Chen Lihua's behaviour now is because the wedding rings she designed were very simple but beautiful. She was worried that Liu Longwei would change them out, or modify them for it to become more extravagant. So even if he would want to do that, it would be too late for him as there was nothing he could do on the eve of their wedding. She was already wearing an extravagant one on her finger. What would she look like if she added another one on the same finger? She will look like she was flaunting their wealth, and maybe be kidnapped or incur jealousy and hatred from people.

"Can you drop me at the Chen residence in the next four hours? I know my mother is already waiting anxiously". Chen Lihua asked.

Liu Longwei refuted immediately with a serious look on his face. "No, I will send you there in the evening. Spend some time with me, since we won't be seeing each other till the eve of our wedding".

Chen Lihua looked at him and wanted to ask, 'Haven't you spent more than enough time with me these days?' But she refrained when she saw the serious look in his face that meant he wasn't joking.

"Ok ?". Chen Lihua said in agreement, then Liu Longwei smiled satisfactorily.

So they spent their last few hours making final decisions on their wedding gifts for both weddings. They also laughed and talked about other matters pertaining to their weddings.

When evening came, Liu Longwei sent Chen Lihua back to the Chen residence. He even came into the villa to have tea and snacks before leaving.

Looking at the jewellery Liu Longwei gifted her, Lady Chen smiled and said to her daughter, "Your husband even knows how to take care of his mother-in-law".

"Mmmm". Chen Lihua murmured as she ate the grape in her mouth.

"Are you even paying attention to what am saying?" Lady Chen asked.

"Mmmm". Chen Lihua murmured again, sending more grapes into her mouth at the same time.

Lady Chen sighed on seeing the way her daughter ate the fruits like she's been starved since morning. Then a thought came to her mind.

So she smiled beautifully and looked closely at her daughter.

Chen Lihua sent another grape to her mouth while looking at her mother with the expression of 'Not good' written all over her face.

If she couldn't read the meaning of her mother's sudden happiness or couldn't tell the changes in the atmosphere, then her IQ must be really low.

"Hua'er if you like the fruit so much, I will tell the servants to get you more, you don't need to rush it". Lady Chen said enthusiastically.

Chen Lihua just ate her grapes without saying anything in reply as she continued staring at her. She was waiting for her to get to the main point.

And true to her thoughts, Lady Chen didn't disappoint her. She immediately opened her mouth to speak.

"You are eating as if you are pregnant. Are you pregnant?"

Chen Lihua rolled the grape that she would have sent into her mouth gently between her fingers as she stared at her mother speechlessly.

"Mom am not pregnant. I am eating the grapes this way because I like how they are slightly chilled. Besides if I was pregnant, don't you think your taunting and the number of times you've mentioned my pregnancy that the baby would have long disappeared by now?"
