Chapter 173: Lisbeth

Feng Yu Chen, Asuna, and Yui entered Liz’s smith shop. A lady with short pink hair greeted them.

She was wearing a maid-like costume and she had a cute face. Her maid costume is red while her apron is white, she topped that off with a red butterfly ribbon near her neck.

“Yo, Asuna, glad to see you. Came to repair your equipment again?”

She saw Feng Yu Chen and Yui too. She is obviously on very good terms with Asuna because she energetically said that while grabbing Asuna’s hands.

“No, we are here to place an order to make demonic swords.”

Asuna shook her head.

“Right, this guy is my husband. He is the leader of the Wings of Liberation. And this is Yui, our daughter…”

“Yeah, so you’re Asuna’s friend? This is the first time I heard about this cute friend of hers…”

Feng Yu Chen mused out loud.

“I have heard tales about your achievements, Captain of the Wings, the strongest player in the game. Asuna sure knows how to bag herself a good hubby. Well, you guys have plans for when you’re free from SAO?”

Liz said while examining Feng Yu Chen. He looked like the youngster next door. Nothing particularly special other than his handsome visage. However, he still looked more like a mortal than the godlike player people claimed.

“Hmm, I don’t know Asuna, you got any plans to knock pots over in the kitchen as we work up a storm?”

Feng Yu Chen asked Asuna.

“What are you saying? We are in front of my friend.”

Asuna kicked Feng Yu Chen’s leg.

“Come on, I love you babe, no need to be shy. Everyone in SAO knows you’re my wife.”

Feng Yu Chen protested.

“Die!”

Asuna is both furious and embarrassed. How is she going to look her friend in the eyes now?

“Jeez, guys, get a room. I am going to get back to my work if you two don’t get to the point quickly. You guys have a good vibe, Asuna, this kind of man is easy to control after tying the ribbon.”

Liz led the customers into her shop.

“Nn, this isn’t over, buster.”

Asuna rolled her eyes at Feng Yu Chen.

Asuna is still very bashful.

The goods in the store were pretty good in terms of quality. Her weapons were far stronger than what her competitors had to offer. However, there are no weapons on par with demonic swords, maybe she couldn’t get her hands on the raw materials needed to forge one.

“You said you’re looking for demonic swords? I can make them but those things need ridiculously high-grade materials to make. I am not going to lie, get me those materials and I will make any weapon you want.”

Liz said.

Feng Yu Chen nodded.

“If you’re talking about rare materials then the white dragon on the 55th floor should be able to give us the good loot. It eats precious metals and crystals for its meals, I bet there will be a quest that asks us to obtain some of that metal.”

Liz gasped.

“I am surprised you knew. But, multiple raid parties killed the white wyrm and got nothing back in return. They only got Cors and inferior equipment. They didn’t even make enough profits to justify the potions and crystals they spent to kill the dragon. There is a sub-quest, sure but even that quest didn’t give any rare loot. Raid parties killed the boss multiple times to test out the drop rate of that rare metal. In the end, they still didn’t get anything. I think there is a hidden feature we don’t know yet.”

“I know about the trigger to start the sub-quest. I need a blacksmith in my party. The material only spawns while a blacksmith is in the party.”

“Ah, so you knew. Okay, sure I can go with you.”

Lizz also wants to make a demonic sword. Imagine the fame she would get if the sword she made was used by the strongest player in the game and the captain of the most famous guild in SAO. She is sure to make bank once the word gets out that she is his blacksmith.

“Nn, sure. I want you to make 8 demonic blades.”

Feng Yu Chen said.

“8? You’re gonna eat swords or something?”

Liz rolled her eyes at him. A single player couldn’t possibly wield so many blades. Plus, she had to focus or the chance of failure might increase during the forging process. Did this guy think it would be that easy?

Feng Yu Chen nodded.

“Yes, I want to create the strongest sword skill to defeat that bastard waiting for me on the 100th Floor. I am going to need strong swords to kick Heathcliff’s butt. Please, you’re the only one who can help me.”

“Even if you have so many swords, how are you going to use them?”

Liz can do simple math. A human had two hands, how is anyone going to use 8 swords?

“I can, I must. To do so, I need 12 blades, I already got my hands on 4 blades. The blades you make is going to be the key to the freedom of players. Help me, please, I am begging you since you’re Asuna’s friend. I trust you can do this!”

Feng Yu Chen said.

“Maybe it is just the limits of my imagination but I still can’t imagine anyone wielding 12 swords simultaneously. I can offer you my help, however, just give me some time to prepare. I promise I will finish the forging before you hit the 100th floor. I don’t mind giving it my all to clear this world. And, you said it, Asuna recommended you to me, you bet your butt I am going to help.”

Liz agreed to help. She is probably going to be dead tired by the end of this ordeal, 8 demonic swords…

“Okay, thanks. We should head out soon. If we are quick, we might make it back before the end of the day. I bet we need a ton of Crystallite Ingots to make 8 swords. Looks like we have our week planned ahead of us.”

“Now? Hmm, you probably could solo the dragon.”

Lisbeth nodded. She wants to see Feng Yu Chen in action too.
