Undying Warlord

718 From Burning Star to Vigorous Planet

Not even 24 hours after Dilan had returned to Milarn, he found himself dying over and over again.

Despite the high resistance he possessed to searing hot temperatures, it was still not possible for him to survive in the core of a planet that was brimming with life.

His body was burning to cinder dozens of times every second.

The unbearable pain didn’t even reach Dilan’s brain before he was dead once again. He couldn’t fully regenerate as his body burned whenever he showed signs of regenerating.

‘That is so much worse than I expected…how the hell is the Crimson Chaos Obelisk supposed to endure this fucking heat for several days?!’ Dilan cursed in his mind while continuing to use the Astral Projection to see everything in his surrounding area. At the same time, he willed the Flame of the Beginning to fuse with his body by using its strongest flame.

The Flame of the Beginning didn’t want to do so because that would mean it would end up killing Dilan by itself, but it was even harder to perceive a tiny fraction of the pain Dilan was going through for tens of minutes already.

Spreading the Power of the Sun through Dilan’s body the moment it regenerated, it was possible for Dilan to swim in the magma. The pain was still present, and it was even worse than before because it felt like his innards were being molten hundreds of times at every moment but that was something he had to endure.

He was not how the situation on the surface looked like but he knew that the four Chaos Obelisks had been placed already. There were still more than 20 hours left before they would be fully installed but Dilan was pretty sure that the fights had already begun.

The war would not reach its climax until long after he had gotten his hands on the sentients of Milarn but that didn’t mean he could take the situation lightly.

He had to swim closer to the center point of the planet and install the foundation of the Crimson Chaos Obelisk before placing it on top of it.

This would take half an hour, under normal circumstances. Dying over and over again while swimming in magma was certainly not something one encountered on a daily basis.

That was why Dilan gave himself a full hour to install the Crimson Chaos Obelisk…but to start, he had to find a somewhat solid area first.

Dilan spend way too long finding a somewhat solid area but everything else went by extremely fast afterward.

The Crimson Chaos Obelisk was placed and it began to install itself afterward. There was no need for Dilan to configure too much. The Crimson Chaos Obelisk would do everything on its own.

‘Old Jeff is a true genius!! He is the best!’ Dilan shouted in his mind as he watched the Crimson Chaos Obelisk doing everything he couldn’t do.

He might not be stupid, but Dilan knew that he was far from intellectual and educated enough to play around with ancient runes. Dilan had read about ancient runes a little but that was already it. Thus, Old Jeff’s work was appreciated by Dilan, especially the additional functions he had implemented in the Crimson Chaos Obelisk.

One of those functions was to activate all Chaos Obelisks from the ‘Main’ Chaos Obelisk. The Main Chaos Obelisk was the Crimson Chaos Obelisk and it required only Dilan’s Soul Imprint to activate all five Chaos Obelisks.

That was exceptional as it didn’t force Dialn to travel across Milarn to activate all Chaos Obelisks. That would require way too long, which would inevitably cause trouble…if not for the second additional function that had been implemented in every single Chaos Obelisk.

Once one Chaos Obelisk was activated it was possible to create a portal from within the Chaos Obelisk. Only the person who activated the Chaos Obelisk could use the portal to teleport to other activated, or inactive Chaos Obelisks.

That was an exceptional function, something Dilan was likely to have to use in the near future, either way.

Once the Crimson Chaos Obelisk was properly placed and it began to install itself, Dilan could only wait. It was possible for him to travel around and search for the opponents that were the closest to him but leaving Milarn’s core was certainly not easy without using Instant Teleportation or by literally destroying everything.

Dilan had already used all Instant Teleportation Charges and destruction was not what he sought so close to the planet’s core. Furthermore, it would take him way too long to search for opponents even if he could teleport to the closest cavern tunnel that would lead upward.

But that wouldn’t help anymore. He had to trust his people and allies. They would take care of everything while he would focus on the situation ahead of him.

If he were to leave right now, he would lose 24 important hours that could have been used to talk to the sentients of Milarn. He wanted to bind it to his Soul Subspace the moment he activated the Chaos Obelisks.

To make sure that this could happen, he had to be on friendly terms with the sentience of the planet.

‘Buddy, can you speak with the sentience of the planet? From a former sun to the newly awakened sentients of a planet? That would be great…’ Dilan requested from the Flame of the Beginning subconsciously killed Dilan just from voicing out his request.

The content of the request itself was not what bothered the Flame of the Beginning but being made fun of was!

Nonetheless, the Flame of the Beginning complied to Dilan’s request. It spread through the liquefied parts of the core and told the sentient everything Dilan wanted the Milarn’s sentient was supposed to know.

[A great war is about to erupt on your surface. It might destroy several continents, and all of that is my fault. Others may say that my words are a lie but I am responsible for everything at the end of the day.]

[I did all of this to protect my beloved family and friends. I hope you won’t hate me too much.]

[I want you to become a part of my existence by accepting my Soul Imprint on you, the sentients of Milarn. You don’t have to agree with what I have to say but I hope you’re willing to take a look at my memories to witness what I’ve witnessed in the past.

Maybe this will help you make a decision. If you are against me, I will have to take my leave. Forcing you to obey me won’t help me create a powerful True Divinity, either way.

I want to be the strongest and not get a weakened True Divinity because you were not willing.]

[Please watch my Memories and decide then!]
