Undying Warlord

637 Motivation

Several days had passed and Dilan had returned back to the flying island.

He wouldn’t stay long on the flying island but there was something he had to do, and something else he had to finish.

For the latter, Dilan required the Divinity Messenger Board which he had opened in front of him.

His chat with Ariel Silvertale was open, but he had yet to write a message.

“I will just do that and see whether she will return a message or not…” He mumbled while his mind was going astray.

‘Do I want her to message me back, or is it better for us to never message each other again? Will we become enemies once the Sun God is defeated? Why don’t they kill the Sun God, either way?’

The last question he had in mind was not something Dilan meant seriously.

He knew that killing the Sun God might cause problems with the control of the territory. New borders would be created and one would have to face more Alliances than before.

That being said, the Sun God’s Territory was a small cushion between the borders of multiple Alliances that would love to chop each other’s heads if they could.

Fortunately, that was not the case because the flying island was pretty much in the center of the Sun God’s territory. They would become the eye of the war the moment the Sun God were to die.

‘Good thing that the others held me back…’

Dilan sighed deeply, he wrote something short in his chat with Ariel Silvertale before pressing the send button.

Afterward, the message popped up and he closed the chat including the messenger.

His message was pretty simple with multiple meanings, yet, it might actually mean nothing as well.

That was something Dilan was fully aware of, but he didn’t really know what else to write Ariel Silvertale, one of the Essence Angel’s Lesser Gods.

Thus, he wrote the simplest thing he could think of.

[I’m back]

Dilan felt stupid sending such a message, but he had enough things to take care of that he forgot about it real quick.

No matter the content of his message, as long as Ariel Silvertale was still alive and interested enough in the human who had gotten his hands on the only Divine Occupation she would send him a message back.

Because only a few days had passed, Dilan didn’t expect lots of changes in the attitude of the people on the flying island.

But little did he know that quite a lot had changed. Not only did everyone from the Undying Group start to use the Simulation Rooms to get some Basic Combat Training, but their improvements were quite remarkable.

The changes were not enough to turn the world upside down, yet, they were more than enough to show the other factions, and even the monsters that there were lots of things to learn.

Most of Rory’s subordinates possessed a certain degree of intelligence. As Rory’s subordinates, they had received the Red Dragon’s blessing. This increased their intelligence further and it provided them with the ability to grow beyond their limit. It was not as if they had limitless growth but they could still attain new powers and go beyond their racial limit.

That was very interesting and it was also one of the reasons why Rory’s subordinates began to use the Simulation Rooms as well. Their Combat training was a little bit different but it was still very helpful.

And that was not everything either. After returning back to the flying island, Dilan had met up with the Queen’s Image to think of a way to motivate more people to become stronger and to finish every single training session in the training room.

It was for their good, but some people had a hard time finding enough motivation, though increased survivability should already be more than enough.

Dilan and the Queen’s Image came to the conclusion that it would be helpful to provide certain information to every Ascender, no matter if they were human, another race, or monsters, whenever they reached a higher rank in their training session.

They were given one question to ask and the answer would differentiate in quality according to their rank and the difficulty of the Simulation.

Dilan knew that he asked the Queen for a lot but he promised her that he would provide her with more Essence Crystals as soon as possible.

However, that was not what the Queen’s Image and the other Images wanted. Even the main body of the Queen of Immortality shared that she wanted something else.

“As long as you show and teach me what one of my strongest Images learned in the tens of thousand years she has been inside the City of Trials, I will support you to a certain degree!”

That was the answer he received, and it gave Dilan far more information than he expected.

It showed him that each of the Soul Shards within the City of Trials was tens of thousands of years inside the City of Trials… Multiplying this by 365, one would be able to find out how long the Soul Shards had been inside the City of Trials, according to the speed in which time passed in the Forgotten Time Realm.

Dilan pitied the Soul Shards a little bit after he figured out just how long they had been inside the City of Trials but it was not like they couldn’t leave. The memories from within the City of Trials would be lost forever but that was something they would have to live with if they couldn’t endure it in the City of Trials anymore.

The old man was a very excited man once he could speak about topics he held an interest in.

As for everything else…he didn’t really give a damn about them.

It was similar with Dilan, just that he was a little bit nicer when it came to topics he didn’t like…but just a little.
