Undying Warlord

626 Stronger, Faster

“You should have seen the elemental attacks I unleashed to eradicate them at the end. It destroyed the entire mountain range…well parts of it. But it was a great spectacle,” Dilan said before he cleared his throat seeing that the others glared at him once again.

“To summarize my fight against the twelve Blood Orc Apostles…I killed two while throwing a fit, then they started to beat the shit out of each other.

While they were focused on bashing each other, I released some berserk mana to make sure that they would lose their reasoning and turn into mindless corrupted monsters. They were in a frenzy and started to fight each other like savage beasts. After that I started to play a little bit with them while inflicting various injuries at their vital spots to give the other Blood Orc Apostle the chance to beat the shit out of their brethren as well.

In the end, I only died a few dozen times or something like that. I expected a lot more pain, but it ended rather nicely!”

That was also why the mountain range had been devastated and a large plateau, though holed, had become the top of the mountain.

“I am not sure if you’re joking or not…and that question might be stupid, but…are you not afraid of death?” Katja asked after she had been quiet for a while, just like everyone else. Dilan’s summary of the fight against the twelve Blood Orc Apostles might sound stupid, maybe even hilarious but they had witnessed the terrifying power of the Blood Orc Apostles.

With their combined strength, they were definitely stronger than the Sun God, which was a horrifying thought.

It was their fortune to have claimed the Gate in the Crimsonwood forest by now. Just the thought of witnessing the 12 Apostles, the hundred Blood Orc Shamans, the 1000 BLood Orc Champions, and the tens of thousand of Blood Orc Warriors emerging on the flying island one after another was frightening, to put it in simple terms.

Nobody wanted that to happen, which was one of the many reasons they claimed the Gate as quickly as possible.

Nobody had been killed, and it was unlikely that anyone would face permanent injuries, not with the hundreds of healers they had in the flying island. There was not a Demi God Healer yet, but that was definitely something they would nurture in the near future.

Dilan had been right when he said that it would be necessary to have a wider variety of Ascenders at the fifth Tier. It was great to be a powerful combatant, but that was actually not everything they needed.

“Scared of death? I’m not. Why would I be scared of dying?” Dilan asked while looking at Katja.

At first, Katja thought that Dilan was joking but seeing how serious he was and that there was not even the faintest doubt in his eyes made clear that he was convinced about the truth of his answer.

That was what Katja figured…and it was frightening…

“Eh…I mean…dying is bad, or not? You will cease to exist, and turn into a lifeless corpse…you will never see your family again…and so on…” Katja was too stunned to speak properly. She ended up stuttering and trying to figure out what she wanted to say, to begin with.

“I won’t.”

“You won’t what??”

“I won’t turn into a lifeless corpse, nothing like that, never!” Dilan said, his voice full of confidence and filled with a conviction that was hard to break, maybe even impossible to break.

“Oh…okay…” Katja merely responded, quieting down afterward. She was not sure what else she could ask Dilan. There was too much to ask but Katja didn’t really know if she was actually ready to listen to the answers.

She felt as if Dilan’s answer would devastate her more than anything.

Dilan didn’t mind the silence. He focused on his execution on the highest difficulty of the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique. He controlled the essence out of the earth, environment and heaven and pulled it in his direction. A small vortex formed around Dilan, suctioning more Essence in his direction.

Dilan absorbed the Essence inside his Essence crystal where it was equally distributed to increase his strength and fill his Essence crystal slowly.

The small vortex was growing in size and more essence was suctioned in his direction. The swirls around him were getting stronger and more Essence entered his body. A faint smile was delivered on his lips as he was slowly getting a grasp of the Perfect Essence Cultivation technique’s true extent.

This was not something he could have realized in the City of Trials because things were a lot different now compared to the time in the City of Trials.

‘I have to become stronger, faster… a lot faster!’

Dilan was not sure what awaited him in the future, but it was quite worrisome that the twelve Blood Orc Apostles had been so powerful.

He used tricks and his Undying Origin ability to come out victorious against them. That was great but it didn’t help as much as he had hoped for because the others were simply too weak.

Even if they were newly advanced Demi Gods, Dilan would have never expected that Rory and the others could be defeated, in ten seconds at that.

He was not sure what exactly had happened but it was quite troublesome, that was for sure!

‘No matter how dense the Titan sub-bloodline within them was, they shouldn’t have been strong enough to defeat ten Demi Gods in ten seconds, not from such a distance…Was there someone else? Did the Apostles receive the Blessing to use their God’s Power once? Will their God be able to enter the Gate to take revenge?’

Too many questions swirled through Dilan’s mind and there was not a single answer, not yet.

He had to search for them, after taking care of everything else!
