Undying Warlord

624 Dead and Alive

When Dilan appeared above the tallest Apostle, he pierced out with his right hand.

Oricalm, in the form of the bladed whip, shot out and coiled around the ten-meter-tall Blood Orc’s neck.

The blades dug deep in the Orc’s neck until dark red blood gushed out. The blood trickled down the bladed-whip, but neither the Apostle nor Dilan paid any attention to that.

Dilan shrouded his left arm in crimson lightning while pulling on the bladed-whip to burst toward the head of the biggest Apostle.

With the highest form of the Lightning God’s Fist activated for a quarter of a second, Dilan’s left arm was bound to be rendered useless, to an extent where even the True Undying Essence would require more than ten seconds to heal it properly.

However, that was fine as long as he landed one punch in the face of the Apostle.

Bursting toward his head, Dilan pulled his arm back and punched out using every bit of strength within his body. His killing intent gushed forth once again.

The Apostle’s face distorted when the killing intent engulfed him. He was rendered incapable to move, even if it was just for a tiny moment. That little moment was more than enough for Dilan to land the crucial blow to the Apostle.

Dilan’s fist landed above the Apostle’s nose bridge and the sound of a breaking skull rang through his ears not long after as he unleashed the power of the crimson bolts of lightning that had shrouded his arm.

Pain spread through his left arm up to his shoulder, until his nerves finally registered that his entire arm was charred beyond recognition.

Dilan, however, didn’t pay any attention to the pain, let alone the fact that his left arm had become useless.

His eyes were fueled with uncontrollable anger, even after the Apostle’s skull was broken. Oricalm’s appearance changed to a longsword in an instant and the Immortality Aura, and several layers of the Power of Destruction engulfed it at once.

Dilan didn’t have any mana or life force left inside his body, but all of that didn’t matter as he unleashed the power his sword harbored just.

He released everything, and pierced the eyes of the Orc Apostle, not caring what the other Apostles were about to do.

A siler-white beam was unleashed, and the biggest Orc Apostle writhed in pain, moving for the first time since Dilan had gotten the lead before he stopped moving.

The corners of Dilan’s lip curled upward, but there was no satisfaction in his eyes. The Apostle died, just like that…but it was only one, only one of twelve had died!!

Just when Dilan thought about the other Apostles, he found himself in the grasp of another Orc Apostle. The Orc roared out, bursting Dilan’s eardrums before the Orc moved his head closer to his hand.

Dilan figured out what was about to happen and he frowned.

‘That’s definitely a new way to day…’

Just a moment later, his head was ripped off his shoulders and the Orc Apostle crunched on it, crushing his head at once.

The Apostle swallowed after a few seconds and he threw Dilan’s remaining body in the air while pulling the mace he held backward, ready to use the human body as a replacement of a baseball.

The Orc Apostle smashed out with all his might and he hit Dilan’s body…or so he thought… but there was no resistance. It was as if Dilan’s body had turned into thin air…that was how light it had been to smash his headless body through the air…or was there something else?

“Where the hell are you looking, you fucking dumbass?” A voice filled with hatred resounded from next to the Orc Apostle’s head.

A silver lightning had emerged next to Dilan’s body. His skull had regrown but that was already it. An existence that was neither dead nor alive had appeared next to the Orc Apostle, wielding a silver lightning bolt, something the creature had never manifested before.

However, a smile was forming on the lips of the skull as his flesh and skin began to form.

The creature released the silver lightning bolt, created out of the Power of Construction and the strongest lightning it could create…or was it a ‘he’?

In fact, Dilan didn’t really know what he was anymore. Rather than being considered a monster by other people, he could actually tell that he was a monster. It was the truth. His powers exceeded the realms of the possible, or what ought to be possible.

That was even something the Oracle had told him. The True Undying Essence was not something that should have become as powerful as it was. However, it was the only reason for Dilan’s confidence to defeat the 12 Orc Apostles, the beings, whose combined combat prowess was even higher than the Sun God’s.

However, there was a big difference between being strong as a group and being a single individual that was as powerful as a dozen. While the group had to work together in order to fight their opponent, the individual could do whatever it wanted to do, whenever it wanted.

He could fight all opponents at the same time, or prevent them from moving together and thus decrease their combat power drastically.

But what would happen if that individual was even weaker than the split-up power of the group? The individual would die, obviously.

But what if that individual couldn’t die? What would happen?

If the individual couldn’t die, hell would descend as long as it possessed the necessary powers to inflict injuries to his opponents, no matter how faint they were.

Yet, what if the individual was weaker than their opponents, unable to die, but armed with techniques and other powers that exceeded the limitations of the individual’s body? It didn’t matter because the individual was unable to die, and his will was unbreakable!

Dilan released the destruction lightning bolt with fury, piercing through the Blood Orc Apostle’s ear before it could even move.

As long as the obstacles in his life would be removed it wouldn’t matter how much pain he felt, how many times he died, or what hell he went through…he would still be alive, while his opponents were bound to die, whether it was fast, or taking days, months, even years!

Dilan sensed something and he disappeared from his earlier position with a light push from the shoulders of the Blood Orc Apostle.

It was just a fraction of a second later that the fist of another Blood Orc Apostle swished through the air. The fist that intended to squash Dilan and end his life once again ended up smashing the face of the stumbling Blood Orc Apostle, whom Dilan had just attacked.

The Apostle collapsed from the impact, dead.

His brain had been obliterated by the destruction lightning bolt that burst open the moment it pierced the Blood Orc Apostle’s brain.

But that was not something the other Blood Orc Apostles knew.

Some hadn’t even seen Dilan because his attack had been initiated and completed in a quarter of a second.

They only saw that the fist of their own brethren crushed the skull of another brethren and that the latter died.

Chaos descended.
