Undying Warlord

615 Know your enemy!

“That’s a crow…a large one, but just a crow…” Rory analyzed with her mastermind, and Dilan agreed to her.

Looking at the corpse of the large crow, a small bullet hole could be found in its head. The bullet killed the monster in an instant, without causing any pain, or the possibility to hope for mercy to overcome death.

“If you need Essence crystals, you could have joined our hunts before,” Kathrine joined the discussion, just to be pulled back by her sister.

“Oi, what are you doing?! Yvonnee!!!”

Kathrine didn’t know what was going on, but her sister pulled her back to have a better sight of the monster corpse ahead of them.

“You can see it now as well, don’t you?” Dilan said mysteriously and Yvonne nodded her head.

Meanwhile, Sven’s eyes widened slightly.

“A scout…”

Dilan gave Sven a nod as he got up from the ground. All of a sudden something was added to the 3D projection he controlled precisely with his mana.

“I wasn’t sure about it before but a bunch of crows are always near us. While you guys were fighting, I took a closer look at them with the Mystic Eyes. I found out something very interesting at last.”

Kathrine was still not sure what she should think about the situation, but realization dawned upon her.

The Crows were controlled by the Blood Orc Shamans and they observed them for quite a while now.

“But if you knew that something was off beforehand, why didn’t you kill the crows earlier? They know how strong we are, our weaknesses and strengths now…” Katja asked, not really understanding what was going on in Dilan’s mind.

“At least, you could have told us that we’re being spied on! We could have hidden our strength better to fool and overwhelm them later…”

Katja was really unsure whether Dilan was on their side or not, but it looked like he didn’t really care about the spying crows.

“But I wouldn’t know how strong you guys are if you would have hidden your strength. Furthermore, I don’t really think that you guys are great actors. The Blood Orc Shamans would have gotten suspicious and found out that we know much earlier,” Dilan retorted, not really caring that Katja and the others looked at him in dumbfounding.

He didn’t even trust their acting skills…

“Either way…now that the crow is dead we should come up with a plan and obliterate the Orc settlement…the issue is just that we need to come up with an unexpected plan, something the Blood Orc Shamans won’t expect after they analyzed our powers…” Sven interrupted, preventing Katja from going ballistic.

Everyone quieted down while Dilan merely smiled at Sven, one of the two people he told about the Crows and the fact that they were watched from the beginning.

He knew that the Crows were mostly focused on him because he had been the only unknown variable.

Even when Ben had cut him in half, the Crows weren’t able to see anything. The branches and leaves of the tree top they had been seated had shaken violently and their sight had been obstructed by the sudden gust of wind that had brushed past.

The Crow had only seen that Dilan had intervened in the battle and that the Orc was dead afterward, kill in the midst of a few loud explosions.

As for how the Blood Orc Champion had been killed, or by whom exactly, the Crow didn’t have a way of knowing.

But that was exactly what Dilan had made use of. While the Crows had been focused on him, he told Rory about the Crows via telepathy. Rory forwarded the message to Sven who agreed to the plan Dilan had come up with.

“I think you can scratch that I don’t want to be part of the plan in the raid. I just said that because I am not sure whether the Blood Orc Shamans have a way of understanding the human tongue. They might possess magic that is capable of translating foreign languages, or some sort of treasure with the same ability,” Dilan announced before he created a mini Dilan inside the 3D projection, right next to the Blood Orc Shamans.

He thought about it for a few seconds and nodded his head, ignoring the fact that he knew he would enter the pits of hell, caused by his own actions and abilities, “I can teleport in their midst and kill dozens of them before they realize it. If they escape, I can follow them by using a few more teleportation charges. As long as I got hold of their mana once, I will never lose them!”

Dilan was confident in his capabilities, but now it was a question of whether the others trusted his strength or not. Everyone had seen glimpses of his power, that was something Dilan knew.

However, none of them really knew how strong Dilan was, or what he was actually capable of. It was hard to trust Dilan enough to give him a mission as important as the obliteration of the hundred Blood Orc Shamans.

As long as only one of them would survive, things would become much harder. The ability to twist space as one pleased was not something one could take lightly, especially when someone with a spatial ability could move around powerhouses as they pleased.

The 12 Apostles wouldn’t stay idle when being attacked either. They would be full of rage and try to smash everyone.

As for their strength, nobody could really gauge how strong they were or how high the density of the Hylavia Mercu Titan sub-bloodline was within them.

The only information Victoria could procure when she scouted the settlement was that their height was close, or more than ten meters.

“Are you sure that you can handle the Blood Orc Shamans? They might have some fifth Tiers hidden amongst them, and it is likely that they possess tremendous magic if they were capable of using space magic several times from more than 50 kilometers distance…” Williams interrupted this time, his eye trying to assess how confident Dilan was.

However, there was not much to see about Dilan. He merely smiled at his friend. “Give me a minute, and they’re all dead!”

Dilan’s voice was not loud but he didn’t give them a rough estimation or a highly likely scenario. His voice made clear that there was no failure in his vocabulary, just victory and success!

The others looked at him for a few seconds before they nodded their head one after another.

“If you say so, we will have to believe that. They won’t expect you to attack them from their midst, let alone that you will obliterate them at once…that means we can cross out the Blood Orc Shamans…” Sven mumbled while pointing at the Blood Orc Shamans.

Dilan looked at the others who nodded their head and he changed the image of the 1,000 Blood Orc Shamans shown in the 3D projection.

‘They might look like they doubt me but I guess that’s just for show?’
