Undying Warlord

496 Mekaz Family

Not even half a day after Dilan picked up his oldest sister did they reach the military base of the Mekaz family.

It was a humongous base that was guarded by several protection layers, a bunch of Magic machine guns, Magic Missiles, and many more means to eliminate any kind of threat.

No stranger was allowed to enter the Military base without permission, and they would be obliterated if they were to dare ignore the warning signs that had been put up everywhere.

The military base was constructed on a flower plain, but most of the environment all around it had been destroyed by those who dared to ignore the warnings.

“I can tell that Lara is pretty much safe here…for now,” Dilan was quite satisfied with what he saw and sensed in the surrounding area.

No being below the fourth Tier would be able to infiltrate the Military base, not if they didn’t use special means.

That was quite reassuring even if it was not enough for Dilan to be certain that the military base would survive what would happen once more and stronger races were to show interest in the destruction of the military base.

The base and the surrounding area the Mekaz family had annexed for themselves was quite large, and that would become one of the most troublesome facts if Milarn’s population exceeded the planet’s limits.

Dilan knew that this was bound to happen and that Milarn would become a planet overflowing with death and destruction, meaning that the military base would become a cumbersome obstacle to many races.

They would have to remove the military base and everything within as well.

“Just land outside their territory. I will go inside alone and call you guys to follow me once the situation is cleared!” Dilan ordered Rory, who nodded her head at once.

“No! I want to come with you!!” Marie exclaimed, just to quiet down when she saw that Dilan raised his right eyebrow.

“Can you cut bullets in half, or block them with your bare body?” He merely asked without batting an eyelid.

“N-no…I can’t…” Marie acknowledged, her voice getting quieter with every spoken word.

“That’s why you will stay with Rory, who can protect you outside the dangerous areas!” Dilan stuck out his tongue at her, and Marie felt like pinching his cheeks for acting up.

However, instead of doing something like that, she just nodded her head and agreed to Dilan’s words.

‘He has grown so much…there is no need to take care of him anymore… ‘ Marie thought, and she sighed inwardly, ‘but why do I feel so sad about that? Isn’t it a good thing?’

Dilan didn’t notice his oldest sister’s confused thoughts. He jumped off Rory’s back and landed lightly on the ground while summoning the Hyel Destructo Armor.

Simultaneously, he summoned two Intermediate Spirits and he unsheathed both the Cursed Dagger and the Blessed Blade.

Even if Dilan didn’t intend to fight, let alone destroy the military base, it was quite obvious that he would have to reach someone to talk to first things first. He didn’t want to waste any time playing around like fools, which is why he used the ‘Power application’- tactic.

This tactic was simply to storm inside the military base, find his sister and start talking with a bunch of people to calm them down so as to try to solve the issue peacefully.

“Take care of yourself!” Marie shouted out loud from Rory’s back, causing Dilan to lift the Blessed Blade and release a small beam of mana in response.

He was entering the danger zone of the Military base and circulated mana through his body before he spread out some to sense if there were traps around him.

It didn’t really matter if he would fall into traps because they wouldn’t hurt him, either way, but Dilan didn’t want to look like a fool when entering the military base.

Thus, he evaded the traps he had sensed while his eyes turned crimson. His senses were enhanced and he could clearly see that there were a bunch of Ascenders, who were in charge of observing their surrounding area.

They had taken note of him, obviously, and they talked into a blue crystal, which Dilan presumed to be messenger crystals.

‘Will they attack me right off the bat, or will they wait and see what I’m going to do?’ He wondered at this moment, understanding that his current appearance looked quite frightening.

The mana he released was enough to burst open the earth he stepped on, and both his Armor Set and his weapons didn’t really make it look like he approached them with a peace offering in mind.

But that was only obvious because it was what Dilan had intended to do. He wanted to see how strong the Mekaz Family was before he would reveal his identity.

They should believe that he wanted to annihilate their entire military base and fight him desperately with all their might.

That was the current plan.

[Intruder, if you keep advancing, we will have to resort to armed force to stop you!] A loud voice reverberated through the flower plain warning Dilan, who acted completely oblivious to what was going on around him.

The corners of his lips curled upward as he ignored the warning. Dilan continued to advance forward and step closer to the military base with slow strides that were filled with overwhelming confidence.

If he wanted to, Dilan could activate [Walk of Thunder] and [Second Acceleration] to blast forward and emerge inside the Military base, but that would take away all the fun.

[This is the last warning. Stop, or we will execute you!] The voice warned but Dilan ignored it once again.

“Just come at me, what are you waiting for?” Dilan muttered under his breath as he continued to step forward.

Five meters later, Dilan saw a bunch of large-scale weapons that had been retrieved from the bunch of guards at the military base’s wall. They had configured them, aimed the muzzle at Dilan, and fired the moment enough mana had been charged.

Mana Missiles and large Elemental bullets were fired at Dilan, who looked at the long-range attacks impassively.

He activated [Perfect Appraisal] to analyze the power of the attacks and noticed real quickly how powerful the attacks were.

“I don’t really want to dirty my clothes, or do I?” He asked himself for a moment while reconsidering whether to allow the attacks to impact on his body but he ended up shaking his head.

He inserted bits of mana inside the Blessed Blade and the Cursed Dagger before he activated the Power of Destruction. Afterward, he slashed out at the missiles and bullets that were about to reach him.

His movements were clean and exerted with perfect timing, cutting through the Elemental bullets and Mana Missiles smoothly.

They exploded in front of Dilan, who continued to stride forward without hesitation.

A smokescreen covered the area around Dilan after he destroyed the long-range attacks and the Ascender Guards were certain to have eliminated the threat, just to see that Dilan emerged from the smokescreen, unscathed.

“How the hell is that possible?” One of the Guards blurted out in shock.

“He is still human…right?” Another one asked.

“Just what have we done to deserve this?” A third Guard complained, not understanding what the military base did to this human being.

That was if he was human, to begin with…
