Undying Warlord

484 Scouts

Dilan was pretty much fine with his advancements in terms of his level and stats, but his equipment still had much scope for improvement.

The Hyel Destructo Armor Set was not something one could get their hands on easily. Dilan was pretty sure that the stats and abilities of the Armor Set could be considered a limited edition piece that not even Ascenders at Tier-3 could attain no matter how hard they worked.

At most, a handful of extremely powerful existences would be able to get their hands on pieces of equipment similar to what Dilan possessed.

His Blood Eclipse Necklace, the Ring of Inferno, and the Divine Protection Bracelet were extremely powerful in terms of both ability and stat amplification.

Dilan was pretty sure that one could hardly procure something like this from exchanging Essence crystals at any kind of Gate. One would have to pay a humongous amount of Dungeon Points at a special shop to get their hands on such rare weapons.

That was basically what Dilan had done, just his situation was different from that of others. Thus, he was in possession of much more powerful pieces of equipment than anyone else and was able to further improve them until the Hyel Destructo Armor set would reach its material’s limitation.

“Advancing the abilities of my boots and trousers would probably be the most important…the stats of the other pieces of equipment are important but…it’s not like I’m missing out on stats…” Dilan thought out loud before he took a look at the next system notification.

[3.32 Million Chaos Essence Crystals have been detected. The host can distribute the Essences to the Hyel Destructo Armor set as per his desire!]

“Improve the Boots of Hyel Space and the Trousers of Hyel Gravitation with a focus on the latter!” Dilan instructed the system and he quickly noticed the changes that were occurring to his boots and trousers.

[[Boots of Hyel Space] <Platinum Tier-3> treasure

[+125 Agility]

[Instant Teleportation] The host can teleport to any place in a radius of 5 kilometers. Requires one minute to charge! Limit of 10 recharges at once.]

[[Trousers of Hyel Gravitation] <Diamond Tier-3> Treasure

[+25 Strength], [+25 Health], [+25 Stamina], [+25 Agility], [+25 Mana]

[Gravity Domain] The host can change the gravitational force in a range of 1000 meters. Requires one hour to charge! Limit of 10 recharges at once.]

“Why did the stats not change at all?” Dilan furrowed his eyebrows. He looked at the description of the Trousers of Hyel Gravitation for a while before his attention moved over to the Boots of Hyel Space.

“I like this one more,” He concluded with a faint smile on his lips. With his kind of strength, stats were not as important as powerful abilities. As long as he could use his abilities to make up for having stats hundreds of units less than his opponents that would be perfectly fine.

Using a combination of abilities, it would be possible for him to overpower various stronger beings, while this wouldn’t necessarily be the case if the Hyel Destructo Armor Set would solely focus on an increase in his stats.

Gaining 50 or 100 Units for all stats wouldn’t make as much of a difference as being in possession of better abilities!

“Okay, so the Hyel Destructo Armor set focused on an increment in stats when I upgraded it at Tier-2 and now it will solely focus on my abilities?” Dilan wondered, nodding his head upon understanding, “I like it!”

‘And now, what should I do? Conquer a few Gates and get my hands on a Large-Distance teleportation Magic Scroll, or would it be better for me to just leave and return if something were to happen? Rory is pretty fast and if I use the [Dragon Rider] title it shouldn’t be difficult to return to Camsun within a single day…’ Dilan was confused about what to do right now.

He wanted to meet his sisters but he was not even sure where exactly to start looking for them. It was highly likely that they would be on Arikan, the continent his father had reigned before the Primordial Ascension, but Dilan couldn’t really be sure about that.

Thus, he went back to his Slaves once again.

“You guys will travel to Camsun with Rory, get your hands on every single piece of news about the Cier family and which families the President’s daughters have been married to. Once you find out their location, report it to me at once!” Dilan ordered his Slaves, the Vampires he had turned, and Rory.

All of his direct subordinates could fit on Rory’s back, which made things a lot easier to transport them to a different continent.

Using the airspace instead of the water route was a lot safer because nobody could be sure what kind of existences the Oceans hid from the eyes of the beings on land and in the air.

“Can you provide us with an image of your sisters, so that we know what they look like?” The female Dark Elf asked, trying to make sure that they wouldn’t accidentally run past their master’s sisters, or in the worst case, kill them.

“And an image of the President would be helpful as well. We need to know who to kill…or kidnap if we encounter him!” Another Slave suggested, raising one of his arms high in the air, showing that he was ready to kill for Dilan even if he wouldn’t receive any recognition.

Dilan treated his Slaves nicely, without asking for the impossible. Thus, he was considered a very good Master, one who cared for them when it was necessary and asked for things that might be a tad bit dangerous every now and then but nothing suicidal.

However, Dilan and the other Slaves looked at that one particular Slave, who had demanded a picture of Dilan’s father with complicated expressions. By now the Slaves knew Dilan’s story. Everyone had a rough understanding of Dilan’s past and the reason for his weird behavior in certain situations.

Dilan’s past had forced him to take a very dangerous path, one that made him the central point of hatred in many places and for many people.

But that was how life was. He knew that he couldn’t just get anything he wanted without working hard for it, especially in times like the new Era, where strength and power reigned everything.

“Alright, here is the picture. But don’t do anything stupid!” Dilan said before he used more than 500 Units of Mana to visualize a Mana hologram of his sisters and his father. The image was his last recollection of them which was why it was already several years old. Dilan had no idea what his sisters, let alone his father, looked like right now.

Once everyone had imprinted the image in their mind, the Vampires, Slaves, and Rory departed.

Meanwhile, Dilan was ready to spend his time taking a look at the fully matured Chaos Islands, and the changes Camsun would face in the following days.

He had finally advanced to the third Tier, was in possession of 48 Ability Merits, and he could advance his stats and power by leaps and bounds as long as he continued working hard.

His growth was exceptional but that did not satisfy him.

He was ready to become much stronger, whether it was with the system’s help or without.

While he was thinking of his next task, Ariel Silvertale sent him a weird message after she had answered his earlier questions,

[Do you want to sacrifice the System to attain true strength?]
