“That’s how it’s supposed to be!” Dilan exclaimed and it was just a moment later that he sensed the three girls around him beginning to squirm. They could feel the excitement spreading through his body as his mana was explosively unleashed.

It didn’t hurt anyone but it made their skin prickle with nervous excitement too. Yvonne stifled a yawn as she stretched her body and lifted her head.

She slowly opened her eyes which were overflowing with drowsiness so she couldn’t see much around her. Only Dilan and the two other girls were unveiled to her sleep-filled vision but that was enough for her eyes to widen.

“Calm down, nothing happened,” Dilan explained calmly when he saw Yvonne’s dark eyes widen in shock. The drowsiness was wiped away from her eyes for a few seconds, just to fall into a state of oblivion as she stared deep into Dilan’s sky-blue eyes.

Her drowsiness returned within seconds and her body’s need for more sleep overwhelmed her confused and shocked mind as she was put to sleep again. Her head ended up resting on his abdomen while her arms were slung around Kathrine’s body.

‘She got really comfortable,’ Dilan couldn’t help but think when looking at the 18-year-old young woman. Yvonne had had one of the worst encounters shortly after the Primordial Ascension had happened. She had almost been raped which had given rise to a deep-rooted hatred for men.

Even now, she would occasionally have problems conversing with other men. The only advantage Yvonne had was the fact that her strength was the second highest amongst all Ascenders in the Undying Group.

She didn’t have to be afraid of anyone’s actions. Nonetheless, she was, by far, the most comfortable with her sister and Dilan. He was the only male she had truly accepted, and whom she treated with a sense of innocent and harmless intimacy.

Dilan too had taken a liking to Yvonne. She was not only powerful but she also liked helping the people of the Undying Group. Without her, it would be quite difficult to control the Undying Group. As he recalled her hard work, Dilan gently moved his left arm up. Kathrine was pushed aside a little bit so that he could reach Yvonne’s head.

“You worked hard, good job!” He said quietly while patting her a little bit.

Yvonne’s body responded by tensing up at first but she calmed down quickly. Her erratic breathing went back to normal in a few seconds and she fell into a deep slumber within the following minutes.

‘System, give me access to the Battlefields of the Ancient Gods!’ Dilan ordered when his thoughts had diverted from Yvonne once again.

Seconds passed without any reply from the system and Dilan ended up sighing deeply.

‘So that doesn’t work. I need to use any kind of Gate…’ He concluded based on the information he had been transferred in his mind and the small experiment he had just completed.

‘Either way… I don’t know which battlefield I should choose… Killing others will provide points according to their danger level rather than the difference between our Tiers. That means I have to fight Tier-4 Monsters over there so that they can be considered somewhat dangerous…’ Dilan began to assess the pros and cons.

After that thought, he opened his Log of the Ancient once again. He went over to his chat with Ariel Silvertale, where he began to ask her a bunch of questions.

[Are the Gates of Thousand Realms and the Battlefield of the Ancient the third step of the Primordial Ascension to awaken Milarn’s full potential?]

That was one of the many questions he was interested in getting to know. He was not sure how strong and prosperous Milarn could truly be but what he could tell was that the Primordial Ascension could be considered a nasty, yet also generous accumulation of events.

It was very helpful for those, who were able to attain the necessary strength to survive, while the exact opposite could be considered for those who were cowards, were too slow at advancing, or simply too lazy. They would die at the end of the day, which made it seem as if the Primordial Ascension was a nasty bitch!

After some time passed, Dilan noticed that Rory was moving. She lifted her wing so as to let some sun rays and wind currents make their way toward Dilan and the others before she started to speak in his mind.

[How does it feel to have four gorgeous women around you?] Rory teased and Dilan could hear her laughing inside his mind.

His lip twitched, and he was about to blurt something out when Victoria’s hand reached out to his chest. Her hand began to slowly caress him while her eyes were still closed.

Victoria could smell his sweet and sacred blood. She was comfortable and stayed by his side while feeling his warmth and the security his sheer presence provided.

‘Why are you counting yourself as well? Aren’t you shameless to call yourself beautiful?’ Dilan diverted his attention to Rory, who had begun to rise.

She looked at him with a glare as if he was asking something extremely stupid.

[I am drop-dead gorgeous, can’t you see that?!] Rory shouted in his mind. She kept staring at him with squinted eyes just to see Dilan shrugging his shoulders.

“You are a dragon…how am I supposed to tell whether you’re gorgeous or not?” Dilan didn’t think much while answering but Rory felt like biting off his head for his response.

[How can’t you see my true beauty? You must be really blind…just wait until I can transform into my human form!] Rory made a promise to Dilan, who was just nodding his head.

The ground around him trembled as Rory stretched her body and it was about time for him to get up from the ground as well.

He retrieved some comfortable cushions out of one of his storage rings and put the girls’ heads on top of them as he got up.

Only now did he realize something about his storage rings, and sensed that he was facing a situation that had never occurred before.

“There are more than 10 million Chaos Essence crystals in my storage ring,” Dilan mumbled when he diverted his attention.

He looked over to see how the battlefield looked, just to realize that the environment had been destroyed beyond any chance of repair. At least under normal circumstances, it would be impossible to rebuild or rehabilitate what had been destroyed in the Warfare.

Small hills had been obliterated, craters and ravines created, and it looked like the entire existing environment had been turned upside down.

Without the already existing high mana concentration it would take decades for nature to repair what had been destroyed.

“Sven, distribute them to the people who have the highest contribution in the kills!” Dilan ordered while handing over one of his spatial rings holding close to eight million Chaos Essence crystals within.

Most of them were weak Tierless, Tier-1 or Tier-2 Essence crystals but that didn’t matter. His Undying group had displayed awesome tenacity and made some great achievements in the Warfare against the Hordes of Chaos and Destruction even if their achievements had required some outside help.

As for Dilan, he was in possession of far more Essence crystals!
