Undying Warlord

475 Warfare (3)

Dilan’s Power of Destruction had the effect of destroying the Swirl of Chaos within the Chaos Monsters he was fighting.

Not even a single Chaos Monster he had killed so far had an intact Swirl of Chaos anymore. Thus, he could use them to feed the Chaos Islands.

That was exactly what Dilan had in mind. He spread out his mana, engulfed all corpses with it and he stored them inside his storage ring.

This allowed him to separate the Essence crystals from the corpses.

“Leave the corpses to me!” Dilan shouted at the top of his lungs just to turn into a flash that swept through the entire battlefield in a matter of seconds.

He emerged in front of the Chaos Islands and his eyes widened in shock.

“You guys are fucking huge, a lot bigger than I expected!” Dilan exclaimed as he looked up to the Chaos Islands.

They were hovering more than two hundred meters high in the air, and their height exceeded more than a kilometer even without the altitude they were naturally levitating at.

This was quite a shocker but what shocked Dilan, even more, was that he could easily tell the growth of the Islands, just by looking at them.

Immediately below the Chaos Islands, one could clearly see a thick layer of swirling liquid. It was gray in color, and was pulsating erratically.

Dilan’s attention was pulled toward it just like his body as the gray liquid had a terrific suctioning force that pulled everything around it toward the Chaos Islands.

“There you go!” Dilan exclaimed, accessing his storage ring while releasing more than a hundred thousand corpses at the same time.

The majority of corpses were at the Peak of the second Tier or at the third Tier. Thus, Dilan smiled confidently while surveying the Chaos Island that was the closest to him.

‘This should give it a big boost…or not!’ Dilan realized with a deep frown. His lip twitched and he stared intently at the growing Chaos Island, clearly understanding that it was far from growing.

‘Rory, what Tier will Chaos Islands reach upon maturing?!’ Dilan asked her all of a sudden while using his Headring’s [Power Appraisal] to see the difference in the Chaos Island’s power level.

[The four Chaos Islands are only the lowest type so…they should be able to house Tier….4 monsters…probably? So…they’re either Tier-4 existences or Lowest Tier-5 existences] Rory answered in his mind after taking a few seconds to recollect whatever she knew.

pan,d a-n0vel ‘That means they need….how many Tier-3 corpses until they’re full grown?’ Dilan nearly blurted out, but he held it in to make sure that nobody would know of his confusion.

He had never fought beings like the Chaos Islands and he could clearly tell that their strength was quite high, though different from ordinary existences. Their suctioning force was certainly strong enough to pull Tier-2 existences inside the altered version of the Islands’ Swirls of Chaos and it was only a matter of time before the suctioning force would become too powerful for even Tier-3 existences to handle.

By the time that happened everyone except Dilan and Rory would face terrible consequences because of the levitating Chaos Islands that were slowly approaching them. The biggest advantage that the Undying Group had against the Chaos Islands was that they moved slowly and that it looked like they didn’t have any sentience.

They moved in one big batch and strode toward the area where most of the Lifeforce was gathered. Not even the taunt of the Artifact of Traction seemed to work on them, which was also the reason why the Undying Group was forced to scatter away in all kinds of directions to make sure that they were far enough from the Islands.

It was only important to make sure that they wouldn’t be pulled inside the Chaos Island’s Swirl while killing all the other Chaos Monsters that were being pulled toward Dilan whenever he used the power of the Artifact of Traction.

Dilan made sure that the vast majority of Chaos Monsters would move in his direction so that his people would have it easier to fight and that his large-scale attacks would hit the targets.

Simultaneously, Rory was inflicting a lot more lethal damage than Dilan due to her high control of the fire element and her Draconic Powers. She could kill thousands of monsters as long as she used enough Mana to cover a large enough range, and this was exactly what she ended up doing.

Her Dragon breath eradicated the existences that were in the most crowded areas just for Dilan to charge through the opened paths to use [Taunt] and pull more Chaos Monsters closer to him.

Rory would then release her dragon breath once again, while Dilan would make use of the Destruction Slashes that were further enhanced by his Green Magic and the Power of Destruction.

Dilan could kill his enemies more easily by eradicating their Swirl of Chaos, while Rory ended up burning everyone without actually damaging their Swirl of Chaos.

Under normal circumstances, she would get the chance to feast on the deactivated Swirls of Chaos, but now Dilan was using his Power of Destruction to destroy them and store the corpses of the Chaos Monsters in his storage ring.

Once they were safely stored inside his storage ring, Dilan would separate the corpses from their Chaos Essence crystal before moving over to the Chaos Islands just to release the corpses once again.

He was feeding only one Chaos Island to see how long it would take to nourish them until maturity. It was taking much more time and energy than Dilan expected but he could still tell that things were going fine. The devoured surrounding area along with the Gates that were getting devoured made things much easier for Dilan because the nourishment they received was far more than he expected.

‘Probably a million corpses per Island, if I’m lucky?’ Dilan thought for a moment just to feel a searing hot breeze splashing in his face.

Rory was wreaking havoc and her flames had become the most lethal force all over the battlefield. Using her Dragon Authority, she was controlling everything precisely, and to the extent that nobody could rival her powers.

Dilan smiled lightly as he continued with his killing spree. He and Rory were a great team and she was his perfect partner.

Dilan was basically immune to Rory’s flames while Rory could absorb the attacks Dilan released. This made things a lot easier, especially since Dilan could go wherever he wanted without fear of hurting her accidentally. Meanwhile, the Chaos Monsters and even the people of the Undying group were drastically restricted.

His devilish smile stayed on his face and he slashed in all directions whenever he faced a large number of Monsters.

All Chaos Monsters hit by his Destruction Slash died in a matter of seconds and Dilan collected their corpses once again.

Dilan was more than fine fighting countless opponents but the others weren’t. It was pretty obvious that his Undying Group was facing far more problems than he had expected.

Thus, Dilan had to change his plan and help Sven get proper control of all the present Ascenders to gain an upperhand.

Not all of them belonged to the Undying Group, not really at least, which made it a little bit difficult to make sure that all the strategies they had planned would work out.

Fortunately, they had Dilan by their side!
