Two days passed,

The fierce battle between Admiral Aokiji and Blaize ended after Kuzan was completely exhausted and injured heavily by the latter.

Their surrounding was destroyed beyond recognition, while the ice ground they battled upon had multiple fractures and carters on them.

Kuzan, who had multiple injuries on his body, lay in the ice field gazing at the clear blue skies with blood still trickling from the corner of his lips.

The last attack of Blaize is very intense and vicious as it destroyed the inners around his stomach. As a result, he couldn't even stand to his feet. It would take at least half a month for his injuries to heal.

On the other hand, Blaize was in no better shape than Kuzan. But, it's because he didn't utilize the Senju constitution to his advantage and heal the injuries.

Now, as the battle has already ended he directly let the Senju blood heal all his bruises and wounds.. In no time, his body returned to its pristine condition with no signs of him having fought a life-threatening battle.

Looking at Blaize's state further enraged Kuzan who coughed another mouthful of blood. He regrets agreeing to fight Blaize who's simply a monster even without using his devil fruit powers.

Blaize looked at Kuzan gratefully who fought with everything he had. Kuzan is one of the few he considers as a friend.

Blaize walked forward and sat beside him and placed his palm on the latter's stomach. "What are you doing?" Kuzan asked, mistrustfully.

Blaize didn't answer but what happened next made the latter amazed. His hand glowed in golden light while countless tiny white particles gathered around and slipped into Kuzan's body.

Kuzan felt warm current coursing through his entire body and to his surprise, his injuries and bruises were healing at an accelerated rate visible to the naked eye.

As his injuries mended, he even felt his physical strength growing by a small degree. It's simply extraordinary.

"You can even do that?" Kuzan asked, feeling the differences.

"I learned it just recently. I am not truly healing the wounds, just accelerating them so you may feel some weakness and fatigue."

"What kind of devil fruit did you eat? Is there anything you can't do?" Kuzan wondered aloud.

To him, Blaize is an oddity. He's ridiculously strong with terrifying physical strength, powerful devil fruit, and overwhelming Haki. It was as if Blaize has no weakness.

Blaize smiled mysteriously dodging the question. "Take some rest. It would take some time for you to recover fully."

He then checked the rewards for defeating the Admiral.

The rewards were generous and at the same time, he also gained a lot from the battle. It was the right decision to fight Kuzan.

Thanks to the battle, his constitution attribute rose by '0.4' points while his Haki rose by '0.5' points. There's no improvement to his devil fruit attribute as he didn't utilize them in the battle.

Kuzan may be slightly weaker than him but his rich combat experience counterbalances it as he's at least twice older than him. Of course, if Blaize uses his devil fruit power it's a different matter.

After resting for a few minutes, Blaize and Kuzan returned to the ship. Kuzan didn't stay for long, he left for Headquarters after replenishing his lost energy.

The next day, Fleet Admiral office, Marine Headquarters

Sengoku and Garp listened to Kuzan's description of the battle with incredible expression.

"It's only been a few years, I still couldn't fathom how's Blaize's strength has reached such a stage. Garp, do you still remember the first time we met him?"

"Bwahahaha...I still remember it. He was so weak at that time but one thing that hasn't changed is the glow in his eyes: the desire to become strong!" Garp crackled munching on the rice crackers.

Garp then asked Kuzan, "Kuzan, do you think he can contend against the Crystal pirates?"

"If it's one on one, I think Blaize will win," Kuzan responded in a confident tone.

"Garp..." Sengoku sternly looked at the latter, guessing what the other party is thinking. "Kuzan, you can take your leave!" Sending Kuzan out, Sengoku spoke,

"It's not time to eliminate the Crystal pirates!"

Garp snorted. "You still listen to that five geezers and their cleaning plan. What's wrong with letting Blaize engage the Crystal pirates? It's what he needs right now."

"It's not time!" Hearing the words, Garp left Sengoku's office in anger.

Sengoku sighed. Unlike Garp, he's concerned about Blaize because the latter is different from the other marines but much like Garp in personality.

He doesn't know whether it's intentional or not but Blaize has been standing on the opposite side of the World Government from the start.

The World Government is constantly monitoring Blaize's actions as they consider him a loose cannon and think someday he may challenge their authority. His actions are the best proof.

They didn't do anything till now because they are waiting for the opportunity and didn't consider him as the threat yet. But, Blaize's recent action once again entered their sights.

Even after knowing they are going to appoint Doflamingo as the Warlord, the latter still arrested him. After that incident, they are pressuring Sengoku to stop promoting Blaize and give him any power.

It's also the reason why Blaize hasn't been promoted to Vice-Admiral, even after all the achievements he made in the last six months.

Forget about that, they are the reason why the reinforcement arrived late during his encounter with Crystal pirates even though Blaize notified the Headquarters earlier.

Personally, Sengoku believes Blaize is one of the best Marine with a strong sense of justice who's also strong and fearless in face of danger. But the problem is, he knew Blaize doesn't like the World Government and their way of handling things.
