Shu Yan finally saw the ring that Feng Zeyu designed for her. There was a big diamond in the middle, around 5-carat or so, with two small, heart shaped  diamonds on both sides. Their names were carved on the back of the ring.

“Do you like it?”

Shu Yan smiled and nodded with tears in her eyes. “Yes. I have never told you this before, but I am very lucky to have met you and very lucky to be able to marry you.”

“I am the lucky one to have been able to run into you.” The two exchanged a kiss shyly.

“Cousin Shu Yan is so lucky. That ring is so huge.” Shu Yan’s little cousin was envious. “Third Brother, that ring cost a lot, right? I wonder if my special someone can afford something like that in the future.”

Shu Jianyang patted her on her head. “Study hard, get into a good university, and you will be able to find someone who can buy you a big diamond ring.”

Li Miaomiao smiled next to them. A diamond ring that size would cost at least hundreds of thousands of yuan. For a salaried person, they probably would never be able to afford it in a lifetime.

First [Male] Cousin pursed his lips. “So he’s a bit wealthy. What’s the big deal?” Too bad his tone suggested otherwise.

After the wedding was over, they had lunch near the beach so they could play  afterward. Even Old Mr. and Mrs. Shu went with the others and walked around. For those living inland, it was rare that they got to see the ocean.

Almost all of the relatives from Shu Yan’s hometown were seeing the ocean for the first time. They could brag about this for an entire year afterward.

“Do you want to have pictures taken?” Shu Yan had two photographers recording the entire wedding. Those would become very precious memories in the future. She hired two additional photographers to take all kinds of pretty photos and now she was having them take photos of their friends and families.

Being able to have photos taken was like icing on the cake. Old Mr. and Mrs. Shu took a couple of photos on the beach and treated their photos like some sort of treasures.

As the sky became dark, the group returned to the hotel. This was when the banquet began.

Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu had their own car. Li Miaomiao was pregnant and would be uncomfortable riding on the bus so she and Shu Jianyang rode in the little car with Shu Yan and Feng Zeyu. Shu Yan’s little cousin, too, made her way into the car.

“I was too busy last year, and your sister-in-law wasn’t able to get any time off either, so we never had our honeymoon. Now that we are here by the ocean, we planned to stay behind for a few more days.” Shu Jianyang told Shu Yan about their plan.

“Oh, good. There are plenty of rooms at our mansion. You and Third Sister-in-law can pick one. This is the best time to vacation here. There are all kinds of seafood.” Shu Yan liked this place so much that they would be buying a mansion here anyway.

When her little cousin heard that, she couldn’t help but asked, “Cousin, can I stay behind for a few extra days too? Then I can return with Third Brother.”

“Don’t you have school?” Shu Jianyang glanced over at her. “You are a sophomore now and will be a junior next semester. Have you learned everything already? All you think about is to play. Go home with Grandma and Grandpa tomorrow. Aunty will worry otherwise.”

Little cousin pouted and turned her head unhappily.

“You need to focus on your schoolwork as a sophomore. Don’t worry, it will get better once you get into college.” Shu Yan told her the same lie that every adult used.

As reluctant as her little cousin was, she was brought home by Old Mr. Shu the next day.
